장시간 고온 환경 노출시 수분의 섭취가 프로골프선수들의 신체피로도 및 심박수에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sport Drink Ingestion on the Physical Fatigue Level and Heart Rate during Prolonged Exposure in Hot Ambient Temperature in Professional Golfers)

  • We investigated the effects of prolonged exposure in hot environmental condition and ingestion of fluid on various physiological variables including plasma glucose, lactate, the rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and heart rate as well as golf putting performance. Six male professional golfers were voluntarily participated in three different putting trials which were separated by seven days of time interval period. Three different putting trials were conducted at either 20℃ or 32℃, or 32℃ + Fluid ingestion. Performing 32℃ + Fluid ingestion trial, all subject ingested sport drink as much as their body mass was decreased. For each experiment, all subjects were undertaken total 48 putting, which separated by four x 12 putting in four different time points (i.e., Rest, 1 hr, 2 hr, and 3 hr). Plasma glucose concentration was significantly decreased with hot ambient condition but it was almost fully recovered by fluid ingestion. Plasma lactate concentration was significantly higher when subjects were exposed in hot environmental condition, and it did not change with fluid ingestion. There was a no different in putting performance and psychological fatigue level (performed by GRID test) at any environmental conditions. The RPE, commonly used for evaluating of physical fatigue level, was significantly dropped by fluid ingestion which indicates lower physical fatigue level. In addition to this, heart rate (HR) was also significantly decreased after fluid ingestion. Based on these results, it was concluded that the ingestion of fluid during prolonged exposure in hot ambient condition decrease the degree of physical fatigue levels and heart rate, which will possibly improve the golf performance when exposed in extreme weather condition in summer. 재래식 메주 및 된장중의 항산화성 물질에 관한 연구 3. 수용성 갈변물질의 항산화력 (Antioxidative Materials in Domestic Meju and Doengjang 3. Separation of Hydrophilic Brown Pigment and Their Antioxidant Activity)

  • Hydrophilic brown pigments(HBPs) produced during fermentation and aging the domestic Meju and Doenjang were separated by dialysis and chromatography , and their antioxidant activity were measured . The chemical properties of HBP were determined by UV and IR spectrophotometry. HBPs contents were found to be 93.1 mg/g and 183.2mg/g in Meju fermentated for 30 days and 80 days , respectively. The ratio of dialysate to diffusate of the HBPs were appeared to be 70 : 30 and 87 :13 in the Meju fermented for 30 days and 80 days, respectively. and the rtio in the Doenjang aged for 60 days was 91 :9 , indicating that dialysate slowly days, respectively, and the ratio in the Doenjang aged for 60 days was 91 : 9, incidatin that dialysate slowly increased by the fermentation . Both portion exhibited strong antioxidant activity, but more stronger antioxidant activity was found in the dialysate. DEAE-celluose column chromatography showed that dialysate contained more materials eluted by 0.01-0.03M HCI solution than 0.01M acetate buffer, but diffusate showed opposite results. The degree of browning reaction and antioxdiant activity found in the fraction eluted by HCI solution was stronger than that of the fraction eluted by acetate buffer. The fraction eluted from DEAE-cellulose column chormatogrphy was further fractionaged by TLC and found that strong antioxidant activity was present in the fractions which did not possess fluorescenece and showed a negative ninhydrin reaction. TLC fractions of HCI eluant in Meju exhibited a strong absorbance at 260-280nm, but most of other fractions did not show any absorbance at UV region. TLC fractions from dialysate and diffusate showed fairly identical IR spectrum with absorbance at 3400cm-1, 2800cm-3000cm -1, 1600cm, -1 1400cm-1 and 1100 cm-1 , however, in addition to these absorbances, the spectrum from HCI eluant of Meju exhibited a strong absorbance at 1750cm , indicating the carbonic acid or carbonate ester.

여성이 경험한 폐경의 의미 (The Meaning of Menopause Experienced by Women)

  • The purpose of this study was attempted to understand the substance and meaning of menopause experienced by women through informal interviews with oral consent. The informants were 6 perimenopausal women of 50-55 years old who are executing menopause. Colaizz's analytical method, a type of phenomenological analysis, was used to analyze data recorded by audiotape. One professor and a master's degree student who understand phenomenology, and the one who has a master of arts examined the validity between the meanings composed of the clusters of themes. Findings were turned out to be valid through validation process as the last step. The meaning of menopause implied both 'concept about menopause' and 'menopause as a time of change'. Menopause was mostly considered as cessation of menstruation as a physiological, natural, and normal process by aging. However, some people regarded menopause as a loss of youth and womanhood and lessening of every function of the body. Menopause as the time of changes means 'the period of' 'hormonal changes' such as change of menstruation, hot flushes, perspiration, and palpitation ; 'body function changes' of visual acuity, physical strength, sleeping, digestion, thoughts, bone and joints, skin sensibility, sexual pattern and intelligence ; 'emotional changes' such as anxiety, loneliness, gloominess, and nervousness. Menopause is a turning point on the women's life cycle accompanying various kind of changes and health problems. Therefore it is inevitable to develop strategy helping menopausal women pass through the critical successfully by adapting and coping with their critical period toward the healthy and better quality of life individually rather than putting them all into the standardized hormonal replacement protocol.

콘크리트포장에서 하중전달효과 영향인자 연구 (A Study on Effect Factor of Load Transfer Efficiency in Concrete Pavement)

  • 콘크리트포장의 구조적 능력을 평가하는 가장 중요한 요소 중의 하나는 하중전달효과이다. 하중전달효과는 슬래브 상 하부 온도차, 다우월바 시공여부, 포장 노후도, 그리고 균열틈 등에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구의 목적은 콘크리트 포장의 하중전달효과 특성을 파악하고 하중전달효과에 영향을 주는 요소를 정량화하고 적절한 하중전달효과 조사방법을 제시하는 것이다. 연구결과 하중전달효과는 슬래브 표면온도가 아닌 슬래브 평균온도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 하중전달효과는 온도가 내려가고 균열틈이 벌어질수록 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 다우월바를 시공한 구간의 경우 온도변화에 따라 하중전달효과는 큰 차이를 보이지 않은 반면, 다우월바를 시공하지 않은 구간에서는 온도가 내려갈수록 하중전달효과는 급격히 감소하였다. 다우월바를 시공한 구간이라도 포장이 노후화되면 하중전달효과는 온도가 하락함에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 조사대상 구간에서는 슬래브 단위온도 하락시 하중전달효과는 1.4% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 우리 사회는 산업 전반에 걸쳐 빠른 성장을 보이고 있으나 핵가족화와 고령화 시대에 접어들고 있어 노인에 대한 요양 서비스와 같은 사회복지 서비스의 수용가 급격하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 노인과 관련된 요양시설에 종사하고 있는 사회복지사들의 직무가 명확하지 않아 직무 스트레스가 발생되고 있으며, 직무 만족도가 현저하게 낮아지고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 노인요양시설의 사회복지사 직무와 관련하여 복지 서비스를 실천함에 있어 보다 좋은 환경 및 표준화된 절차에 의하여 서비스에 집중할 수 있도록 직무와 융합한 지식 기반의 관리시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템을 통하여 사회복지사들이 자기 개발 및 정보 공유를 통하여 신속한 업무 파악과 직무 스트레스에서의 탈피에 의한 업무 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

노인주거계획을 위한 노인가구의 고령기단계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stage of Elderly of the Elderly Households for the Elderly Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer and analysis the stage of elderly in order to improve the quality of living environment of elderly in Korea. Taking into account the retirement age in Korea, those households with people over 60 years old were chosen for the investigation. For the study methods, an examination of documents centering on previous related studies and the analysis of references from the National Statistical Office, from which a general social situation can be clearly obtained, are used. The results are as follows; From viewpoint of the stage of elderly, Parents and children of families mostly live together stage 1 and 2, mostly live separately at stage 3, the rate of living together increases stage 4 and 5. In over stage 4, there are some cases in which the Korean tradition of three generations living under one roof appears as well. The residing period at one place becomes longer as people grow older, which shows clearly the characteristic of 'ageing in place', therefore in order to continue to provide housing support to the elderly, the characteristics of each elderly stage will have to be considered. In the life of the elderly, more and more hobby groups and meetings among the older population have been created, which means that elderly centered social activities will become more various, and facilities and community activated methods will have to be provided accordingly. Elderly people become less adaptable in new housing environments as they get older, therefore the housing has to accommodate their capability to adapt and the degree of aging. The stage of elderly can be used as a basic reference for a more effective solution when planning elderly housing in the future.

Spectropolarimetric Signals of Comet 2P/Encke During Its 2017 Apparition

  • Comets are one of the most primordial solar system objects that hold the information of the early days of solar system formation inside their nuclei. Orbiting the Sun, they spew such ancient materials that have been buried for many years, creating dust and gas comae. Cometary dust grains absorb and scatter sunlight radiating the continuous light, while gas molecules form the line emissions. Eachof the comets has its own light patterns, which depends on the physical and chemical properties of the dust and gas components. In this regard, spectropolarimetrycan be a powerful tool to study the properties of cometary constituents free from contamination of each other. This methodology offers a series of information on the polarization degrees of the dust and gas components as well as on wavelength dependence of the polarization degree and polarization angle of cometary dust simultaneously. Herein, we will report the results of the spectropolarimetric study of comet 2P/Encke, which is one of the well-known objects for its shortest orbital period and its prominent aging signals. We performed a spectropolarimetric observation of comet 2P/Encke in its inbound orbit using the Higashi-Hiroshima Optical and Near-Infrared Camera (HONIR) at the Higashi-Hiroshima Observatory, Japan, on UT 2017 February 21 at high phase angle of =75.7 deg. Ourstudy of this interesting comet is the first and only one done through spectropolarimetry in a referred publication. We will discuss the most recent polarimetric results of our study in terms of 2P/Encke' scurrent evolutionary status.

산업장 건강증진 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 -건강행위의 변화의도 예측요인 및 대상의 유형 분류를 중심으로- (Planning Health Promotion Program in Workplace)

  • In recent years, interests in health promotion have been stimulated by the epidemiological transition from infectious to chronic diseases as lead ing causes of death, the aging of the population, rapidly escalating health care costs, and epidemiologic findings linking individual risk to morbidity and mortality. It is not surprising that the workplace has been targeted as a promising setting for health promotion. In Korea, national attention to the opportunities for workplace health promotion began in the first 1990s. But there is no in depth study to identify the relating factors to the health promotion program in the workplace. The objective of this study is behavioral and physical characteristics to find that in crease the person's risk for a range of health problems and to analysis other characteristics to influence the degree of his/her intention to change health behavior. In addition, this study is purposed to present the process of planning health promotion program in the workplace. To accomplish these objectives, one workplaces was selected. And 363 employees in those workplaces were served as subjects for the study. Major findings in this study are as follows. (1) They have many risk factors such as smoking, drinking, lack of sleep, law rate of regular exercise, irregular eating, stress. (2) Some of the health risk factors such as smoking, drinking, and stress have the negative correlation to the intention to change. (3) Among cognitive and socio-environmental factors, significant predictors to the intention are attitude and social support. (4) In the cluster analysis to segment the target population in to homogeneous unit, three clusters of lifestyle are specified. (5) Smoking cessation and exercise program are planned for the risk group to change their behavior.

ANN-Clustering 기법을 이용한 상수관로 노후도 평가 및 분류 (Water pipe deterioration assessment using ANN-Clustering)

  • 노후화된 상수관로는 단수유발, 수압부족 및 수질악화, 싱크홀 발생 피해와 누수로 인한 경제적 손실 등을 초래한다. 하지만 모든 노후관로를 일시에 보수 및 교체하는 것은 불가능하므로, 사용 중인 관로의 노후도를 정량적으로 판단하여 상수관로의 개량 우선순위를 결정해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 ANN(Artificial Neural Network)-Clustering 기법이 상수관로의 노후도 평가를 위한 새로운 평가방법이 될 수 있음을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 전라남도 YG지역의 배수관로를 적용대상으로 진행하였으며, 관망성능평가 항목을 이용하여 전체 관로를 세 개의 등급으로 분류하여 노후도를 평가하였다. 또한, 본 연구의 적용 가능성을 판단하기 위하여 실무에서 적용 중인 점수평가법 결과와 비교분석을 실시하였으며, 전체 대상관로의 노후도 정도를 직관적으로 파악할 수 있도록 산정된 노후도 등급을 관망도에 도시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 노후관로 평가기법은 관로의 다양한 특성값을 손쉽게 변경하여 적용할 수 있으며, 점수평가법과 더불어 상수관로의 유지관리를 위한 객관적이고 합리적인 관망성능평가법이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

성인의 골다공증에 대한 지식과 실천에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on Knowlege and Practices about Osteoporosis in Adults)

  • Osteoporosis is a major health problem in countries with aging populations, resulting in excess morbidity and mortality. This study was conducted to investigate knowledge and practices about osteoporosis in adults and to identify some factors which were influenced to that. 56-item questionnaire was developed including five domains(general characteristics, osteoporosis-related characteristics, knowledge of risk factors, knowledge of prevetion and practices). Subjects of this study were 368 adult ranged from 30 to 59. Data were collected during the period from June 15 to July 10, 1998 by means of a structured questionnare. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Post Hoc, Pearson Correlation by SPSSWIN program. The results were as follows: 1. The mean knowledge score of risk factors for osteoporosis was 7.46(full score=15) and that of prevention of osteoporosis was 8,79(full score=12). 2. The mean practice score of osteoporosis was slightly higher than median value. 3. Women had better knowledge about osteoporosis risk factors and practiced more osteoporosis-prevention measures than men. Although the data demonstrated fairly good general knowledge about osteoporosis in the subjects, the older group(age 50-59), those at the highest risk of developing the disease, knew less about osteoporosis than the younger group(age 30-39) did. 4. The persons who had heard about osteoporosis and bone mineral density though mass media medical pratitioners and who didn't take any medicine for osteoporosis had better knowledge about osteoporosis and preventive measures. The practice score was significantly higer in the postmenopausal women and persons who were already diagnosed as osteoporosis patients, or who underwent bone mineral density measurements. 5. The relation between knowledge and practice was significant. In conclusion, there was a modest degree of general knowledge about osteoporosis and its consequences in adults. Further randomized studies are needed to evaluate the relationship between osteoporosis and risk factors. However, these results support the importance of education to prevent osteoporosis.
