Liver tissues were taken from rats 20 min after administration of dehydrocholic acid and biligrafin, fasted for 8 days, and bile duct ligation for 48 hr. And the zonulae occludentes around the bile canaliculi were investigated by the freeze fracture method. In the normal rats, the zonulae occludentes showed networks consisting of one to four strands in many regions. After administration of dehydrocholic acid, the depth of zonulae occludentes were increased and networks consist of six to nine strands. The zonulae occludentes, however, were disorganized, and strands were reduced after administration of biligrafin. In the fasting rats, the zonulae occludentes showed one or two strands which were loosely linked. After ligation of bile duct, the zonulae occludentes were disorganized, and strands were reduced or still in a state not to be reduced. The strands were interrupted by gaps or linear particles in all the groups, especially in the biligrafin and the ligation. The free ends were remarkable in the fasting group and contact or surround the lateral gap junctions in the dehydrocholic acid group. The discontinuities and free ends of strands were also encountered in the normal group, thus suggesting that the barrier is not complete even in the normal state. The aggregation of particles appeared within the meshwork of zonulae occludentes in all the group, except for the ligation. From the evidence, it is assumed that zonulae occludentes are labile, differ in the structure according to the situation of bile canaliculi and show regional alterations even in the same bile canaliculi, that zonulae occludentes are affected by mechanical stress or certain other factors, and that there is a correlation between the strands and particle aggregations in association with the alteration of zonulae occludentes.

Properties of aggregation and spatial distribution of fish were examined based on three lines in the South Sea of Korea using three frequencies (18, 38, and 120 kHz) of a scientific echosounder. The vertical distribution of fish was displayed using acoustic biomass namely nautical area scattering coefficient (NASC). As a result, at 120 kHz high NASC showed from water surface to 20 meters in deep while at 18 and 38 kHz very high NASC presented in 70 ~ 90 meters in depth, especially at line 3. Among three lines, the line 2 had lowest NASC. The horizontal distribution of fish using three frequencies together exhibited high NASC between the eastern South Sea and center of South Sea. In especial, NASC ($801{\sim}1,920m^2/n{\cdot}mile^2$) was observed along coastal waters from Busan to Tongyeong, Geoje, and Namhae. In regard with the property of aggregation of fish schools, the volume back-scattering strength ($S_V$) of three lines presented close each other, however, the range of $S_V$ in the line 2 was shortest (-53.5 ~ -43.4 dB). The average distributional depth was deep in the order of L3 ($32.8{\pm}9.0m$), L1 ($45.2{\pm}9.5m$), L2 ($49.7{\pm}5.6m$). The average altitude was high in the order of L3 ($13.4{\pm}10.3m$), L1 ($17.0{\pm}12.6m$), L2 ($56.7{\pm}5.6m$). The average length, thickness, and area were large in the order of L1, L3, and L2. This means that small sized fish schools were distributed near water surface in the line 2 while relatively large and similar sized fish aggregations between line 1 and line 3 appeared however, fish schools at line 3 had lower distributional depth and smaller compared to those at line 1. Acoustic data were visualized for demonstrating the entire circumstances of survey area. Additionally, there was no correlation between acoustic and trawl results.
The purpose of this study is to find the development of the general hospital security business plan based on the problem that guards are now aware of general hospital security service. To achieve the purpose of this study, the interview was conducted by interviewing interviews with nine field specialists who are currently engaged in the hospital for more than six years. The guard who perform general hospital security service proposed a development plan of general hospital security services as follows. First, the security guards at the General Hospital must complete a new education program suitable for the nature of the workplace. Second, the job training of the comprehensive hospital guard service is also needed to improve the quality of the program in accordance with the actual situation. Third, general hospital security guards should be provided with CS training, CPR and use of defibrillators, etc., and how to respond to infectious diseases. Fourth, there should be a detailed description of the extent to which aggregations and violent acts at the General Hospital should be addressed. Fifth, the Security Association needs to develop active programs for security guards and various efforts to improve the security of hospitals. Sixth, it is necessary to change the recognition of general hospital' security services, and the form of direct employment is required rather than the subcontract contract.
Various metal ions (transition and base metals) incorporated MCM-41 catalysts can be synthesized using colloidal and soluble silica with non-sodium involved process. Transition metal ion-typically $V^{5+}$, $Co^{2+}$, and $Ni^{2+}$-incorporated MCM-41 catalysts were synthesized by isomorphous substitution of Si ions in the framework. Each incorporated metal ion created a single species in the silica framework, single-site solid catalyst, showing a substantial stability in reduction and catalytic activity. Radius of pore curvature effect was investigated with Co-MCM-41 by temperature programmed reduction (TPR). The size of metallic Co clusters, sub-nanometer, could be controlled by a proper reduction treatment of Co-MCM-41 having different pore size and the initial pH adjustment of the Co-MCM-41 synthesis solution. These small metallic clusters showed a high stability under a harsh reaction condition without serious migration, resulting from a direct anchoring of small metallic clusters to the partially or unreduced metal ions on the surface. After a complete reduction, partial occlusion of the metallic cluster surface by amorphous silica stabilized the particles against aggregations. As a probe reaction of particle size sensitivity, carbon single wall nanotubes (SWNT) were synthesized using Co-MCM-41. A metallic cluster stability test was performed by CO methanation using Co- and Ni-MCM-41. Methanol and methane partial oxidations were carried out with V-MCM-41, and the radius of pore curvature effect on the catalytic activity was investigated.
Cephalanthera erecta (Thunb. ex, Murray) is an herbaceous and a member of the genus Cephalanthera in the family Orchidaceae. The species is an herbaceous and has reputed Chinese medicinal value. It has been investigated the population density and spatial distribution of this species at Mt. Ahop in Korea during 2015. The spatial pattern of C. erecta was analyzed according to several patchiness indexes, population uniformity or aggregation under different sizes of plots by dispersion indices, and spatial autocorrelation. The mean crowding (M*) and patchiness index (PAI) showed positive values except one small plot (2 m × 2 m). Most natural individuals of C. erecta for plots were not uniformly distributed in the forest community. The small plots (2 m × 2 m, to 8 m × 16 m) of C. erecta were uniformly distributed in the forest community and large plots (16 m × 16 m and 16 m × 32 m) were aggregately distributed. Significant aggregations by Moran's I of C. erecta were partially observed within IV classes (12 m). Dissimilarity among pairs of individuals could found by more than 18.0 m. In conclusion, the geographic distribution of C. erecta is not even with varying degrees of size of plots and human activities give rise to density effects in the plots at Mt. Ahop in Korea.
A stream processor uses resource sharing method for efficient of limited resource in multiple continuous queries. The previous methods process aggregate queries to consist the level structure. So insert operation needs to reconstruct cost of the level structure. Also a search operation needs to search cost of aggregation information in each size of sliding windows. Therefore this paper uses linear structure for optimization of sliding window aggregations. The method comprises of making decision, generation and deletion of panes in sequence. The decision phase determines optimum pane size for holding accurate aggregate information. The generation phase stores aggregate information of data per pane from stream buffer. At the deletion phase, panes are deleted that are no longer used. The proposed method uses resources less than the method where level structures were used as data structures as it uses linear data format. The input cost of aggregate information is saved by calculating only pane size of data though numerous stream data is arrived, and the search cost of aggregate information is also saved by linear searching though those sliding window size is different each other. In experiment, the proposed method has low usage of memory and the speed of query processing is increased.
Aggregation is an important operation that affects the performance of OLAP systems. In this paper we define a new class of aggregation queries, called range-groupby queries, and present a method for processing them. A range-groupby query is defined as a query that, for an arbitrarily specified region of an n-dimensional cube, computes aggregations for each combination of values of the grouping attributes. Range-groupby queries are used very frequently in analyzing information in MOLAP since they allow us to summarize various trends in an arbitrarily specified subregion of the domain space. In MOLAP applications, in order to improve the performance of query processing, a method of maintaining precomputed aggregation results, called the prefix-sum array, is widely used. For the case of range-groupby queries, however, maintaining precomputed aggregation results for each combination of the grouping attributes incurs enormous storage overhead. Here, we propose a fast algorithm that can compute range-groupby queries with minimal storage overhead. Our algorithm maintains only one prefix-sum away and still effectively processes range-groupby queries for all possible combinations of the grouping attributes. Compared with the method that maintains a prefix-sum array for each combination of the grouping attributes in an n-dimensional cube, our algorithm reduces the space overhead by (equation omitted), while accessing a similar number of cells.
The effect of soil physico-chemical properties of pre and post soil preparation and permanent bed period on growth and yield was analysed by two models of annual variation and percent annual change (PAC). 1. Aggregation, porosity, bulk density except moisture were significantly different in each year from preparation to the 6th year while all soil chemical properties except Mg were significantly different in each year. 2. Soil physical properties showed significant simple correlation with yield and negative with the missing plant rate in each year while the electroconductivity ($EC_5$) of the 4th year showed significant correlation with yield. 3. Yield showed significant positive correlation with the variation of aggregation in permanent bed period, and negative with variation and PAC of aggregation of preplanting soil and variation of moisture in permanent bed period. Missing plant rate was negatively correlated with porosity variation of preplanting soil and positively with PAC of aggregation in preplanting soil and of moisture in permanent bed period. 4. According to multiple regression between yield and soil physical properties, porosity of preplanting soil was in the greatest contribution. Among aggregations, the variation in permanent bed period was in the greatest contribution.
This study was designed to investigate the morphological alterations of zonula occludens, macula adherences and gap junctions between the hepatocytes in the fasting conditions. Animals (Sprague Dawley, $250{\sim}280g$) were divided into two groups: normal and fasting. The latter were fasted for eight days prior to sampling. Liver tissues were sectioned and replicated after freeze fracturing for the transmission electron microscopy. In the normal rat liver, the interhepatocellular space at the area of some zonula occludens appeared to be widened in thin sections. On the freeze fracture replicas., the zonula occludens appeared as an anastomosing network of $2{\sim}4$ strands or grooves on P or E faces. Free ends and fragments of the strands were observed. In the rat fasted for eight days, the hepatocytes were diminished in size and the organelles were decreased in number and size. The intercellular space was wide at many areas of zonula occludens in thin section. On the freeze fracture replicas, the zonula occludens showed diminution or disappearence of anastomosing network of strands or grooves. Free ends and small fragments of the strands or grooves were frequently encountered. The macula adherens was markedly increased in number in thin sections, although they could not be found on the freeze fracture replicas. The gap junctions were increased in number in thin sections. Small aggregations of the intramembranous particles appeared with larger ones on the freeze fracture replica. The evidences may suggest the followings: (1) The disassembly of zonula occludens in the fasting states is led from the diminished mechanical stress on the luminal surface of bile canaliculus with the impaired secretion of bile components from the hepatocytes. (2) The increase of macula adherens is necessary to maintain the liver parenchyma integrity in the fasting state which leads the hepatocyte to be diminished and finally the intercellular space to be separated. (3) The rise in both number and size of gap junctions is owing to the need of increasing intercellular communication between the hepatocytes during the fasting. (4) The alteration of zonula occludens is easily led by the physiological condition of hepatocytes even in the normal ones.
We compared antiobese, hypocholesterolemic, antiplatelet and antioxidant effect of 10% green tea powder and 3% green tea extract in rats pair fed 5% cholesterol diets. The final body weight was decreased significantly compared with the control (p < 0.05). Plasma and liver total cholesterol were lower in group of green tea powder or extract, but not statistically different. HDL cholesterol was increased significantly in group of green tea powder compared with the control or green tea extract (p < 0.05). Plasma triglyceride was significantly decreased in group of green tea extract compared with green tea powder, and green tea powder compared with the control respectively (p < 0.05). Liver triglyceride was significantly decreased in group of green tea powder or green tea extract compared with the control (p < 0.01). Platelet aggregations in the maximum and initial slope were not different among groups. Hemolysis was significantly lower in group of green tea powder compared with the control (p < 0.05). Plasma TBARS production was decreased in group of green tea extract compared with the control (p < 0.05). Na passive leak in intact cells was not different, but Na leak in AAPH treated cell was significantly decreased in group of green tea powder than the control (p < 0.05). The leak increase (${\Delta}Na$ Leak) after AAPH treatment was significantly decreased in groups of green tea powder and extract compared with the control (p < 0.05). Isotope excretion after $^{14}C$-cholesterol ingestion was significantly increased in group of green tea extract compared with the control or the green tea powder (p < 0.05). Consumption of green tea in powder or extract may give beneficial effects in weight control and plasma lipid profiles, impeding metabolic syndrome. More studies are needed to clarify what component of green tea and what mechanism are involved in antiobese and hypolipedemic actions of green tea.
