In order to investigate the comfort properties of aerobic wear with different materials, the physiological responses, subjective wear sensation and microclimate were measured. The experimental garment were all-in·one type with half·length sleeves made of cotton/ polyurethane and nylon/ polyhrethane fabrics. The conditions of the experimental room were controlled to maintain two type of environ- ments, i.e. $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, $60{\pm}5\%$ R. H. and $30{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, $70{\pm}5\%$ R.H., Air velocity was maintained at 0.25 misec all the time. The results are as follows; 1) At $25^{\circ}C$, mean skin temperature and comfort sensation were not significantly different among 2 types of materials. 2) At $30^{\circ}C$, aerobic wear made of cotton/polyurethane fibers showed better pleasant tactile sensation than that of nylon/polyurethane fibers. 3) Under both environmental conditions, microclimate of two types of aerobic wear was not significantly different. 4) Among several aspects of wear sensations, tactile sensation was the most powerful factor to differenciate material differences of aerobic wear.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of difference in materials of aerobic wear on both human body's physiological reactions and subjective wearing sensation by comparing and analysing not only cotton sparidex A, B and C but nylon spandex D, E and F used as actually wearing materials. The rectal temperature of type A and I remained at high degree, the type C was higher from after high-speed running but dropped sharply when taking a break finally. Both skin temperature and mean skin temperature dropped sharply due to sweat occurred during physical exercise, and then rose slowly when taking a break. Type A -D and B-I showed that the mean skin temperature remained at high degree when wearing a cotton spandex. Type C's temperature within its aerobic wear was lower than type F while its relative humidity was higher than type F. Wearing sensation showed a change similar to wearing, particularly, which was remarkable in type B-E. Also, it was shown that humidity sensation, tactile sensation and comfort sensation were good when wearing the cotton spandex.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to changes in respiratory function due to differences in mask blocking grade, and effects on cardiovascular function during aerobic exercise. Design: Comparative study using paired t-test and analysis of variance measures. Methods: Male and female subjects were randomly divided into 4 groups according to mask blocking grade and measured respiratory functions before and after wearing the mask using spirometers, and their cardiovascular capabilities were measured using pulse oxygen meters and blood pressure meters before and after running for 10 minutes wearing mask. Used paired t-test, one-way ANOVA and Bonferroni post-test to compare the differences according to the mask blocking grade. Results: The experimental results verified that three groups except for the Non-mask group had a significant reduction in all values of FVC, FEV1, MVV, and PEF after wearing a mask compared to those before wearing a mask(p<0.05). Also a significant difference in cardiovascular functions was also observed after aerobic exercises wearing mask in all groups and there was a significant difference between all four groups(p<0.05). Conclusions: Lung patients with poor breathing, elderly and children with poor lung function, and professional groups who need to wear masks and take high-intensity work or aerobic movements are encouraged to take frequent breaks in advance, wear masks and social distancing at moderate and low levels.
The effect of compression wear for sport performance and muscle function was investigated based on the physiological test and electromyograph(EMG). The EMG test was used to study muscle activity after fitting the compression wear during exercise. It showed slight difference between men and women testee groups in the results of anaerobic, aerobic, fatigue, and EMG test due to muscle content in the body. In addition, the exercise performance was increased to some extent even the muscle activity was decreased. It is estimated that the compression effect to muscle by the compression wear decreased the muscle vibration and improved blood circulation which helped the entire sport performance. However, it is necessary to study the effect of compression wear in long-term wearing in the future study.

This study compared and studied the clothing mobility of two types of aerobic clothes - those made of currently popular stretch materials and those made of new stretch materials that were specially developed for this study. The focus of the comparison was on the range of joint movement during activity, and the physiological burden imposed on the body by the clothes. In total, 18 experiments were carried out under controlled conditions in an artificial climatic chamber with a temperature of $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, air humidity of $60{\pm}5^{\circ}C$ and negligible air movement. Each exercise program consisted of a 30-minute of aerobic workout and a 20-minute rest following the exercise. Measurements were taken to determine the following: physiological reactions (whole-body and local sweat rates), subjective sensations(of temperature, humidity, comfort, tightness, and clothing wetness), joint angle(measured with a goniometer), and so on. The results of the study us as follows: Material B excels in clothing mobility. Material C excels in sweat absorbency and drying speed. Material A was found to be the hottest material, while material C was found to be slightly hot through the analysis of the change in pre- and post-exercise bodyweight(= amount of sweat). Regarding the amount of evaporated sweat, material A>material C>material B. Material B produced the smallest amount of evaporated sweat. The wider the range of joint movement, the smaller the amount of sweat and the lower the average skin temperature.
The purpose of this study was to examine the performance and properties of sports wear that have the excellent wearing sensation and are in harmony with the functions of human bodies. With four kind(sample A, B, C, D) of materials which have different water vapor transmission, the physiological responses of human bodies and the changes of subjective sensations were studied through the actual aerobic sports program at $20^{\circ}C$, 60%R.H. The forehead temperature had the minimal variation among the local skin temperatures. The fabrics of low water vapor transmission demonstrated high breast temperature. There are significant differences among materials depending on the humidity in clothes(especially back and breast), which was about 6 % for breast and about 14 % for back. The order of loss in body weight was in the opposite direction to that of water vapor transmission for each material.
The Purpose of this study was to research and develop a Pattern of tight Pants, featuring excellent appearance, movement and suitability for the lower body, which are widely used as a basic item for modem dance, aerobic dance and dance sports, and to provide manufacturing data for the pants. This study was carried out with 118 People who majored in dance, using questionnaires asking questions about their understanding and preference of dancewear The experimental dancewear was produced, using 5 kinds of patterns for tight pants on the market, to find out the most excellent pattern in appearance and movement performance. Then, the most excellent pattern was again improved to produce a pattern for this study. The result of this study is summarized as follows. 1. Regarding shops where they purchased dancewear exclusive shops accounted for 97%, their average price was ₩30,000 to ₩50,000(51%), and dancewear separated between the upper and lower halves was most preferred(56%). Cotton span was preferably used for a dancewear material(71%), and their dissatisfaction of a fit accounted for 38% which appeared to be highly unsatisfied with its suitability. 2. When S types of experimental dancewear prepared with a comparative pattern were tested by the senses, it was shown that the comparative pattern of experimental wear number 5 with a strip w3s excellent in movement functions and appearance. 3. The basic items necessary to design the tight pants' study pattern were categorized into waist circumference, hip circumference, crotch depth and slacks length. The shrinkages of 15% in width, 10% in crotch length md 20% in inside leg length were applied, respectively, referring to previous studies and the experimental dancewears' comparative patterns. 4. When the improved study pattern for this study was tested by the senses, it showed higher scores in movement functions and appearance than the comparative pattern did, which confirmed the study pattern's improvement of functions and appearance.
Manure compost is a main product from animal wastes in Korea. Solid manure is usually treated by aerobic composting at manure composting facilities for land reinforcement. Agricultural use of manure compost as organic fertilizer resources, mainly manure compost, is now recommended in Korea. This study investigated the evaluation of durability about the manure composting machinery and structures which was controlled by aeration and periodic agitating. The questionnaire addressed three main topics as follows: operating practices, machinery and maintenance of the manure composting facilities are being operated. A total of the 22 manure composting facilities in an agricultural cooperative were surveyed. The results obtained in this survey were summarized as follow: The major causes of manure composting apparatus trouble were corrosion and wear, overloading and foreign matter etc. The highly trouble frequency of the agitator, packer and conveyor were chain, agitating blade and shaft, motor and screw vane, respectively. These analytical results can be used as basic information to establish the maintenance control methods and durability standard of manure composting facility.
Using superoxide dismutase (SOD)-deficient mutants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the oxygen toxicity induced by paraquat was studied. In aerobic culture condition, yeasts lacking MnSOD (milochondrial SOD) showed more significant growth retardation than CuZnSOD (cytoplasmic SOD)-deficient yeasts. However, not so big differences in growth pattern of those mutants compared with wild type were observed under anaerobic condition. When exposed to paraquat, the growth of yeasts lacking CuZnSOD was severely affected by higher than 0.01mM of paraquat in culture medium. By the analysis of several cellular components ivolved in free radical generating and scavenging system, it was found that, under aerobic condition, the content of lipid peroxides in cell membrane as well as cellular activity of glutathion peroxidase of CuZnSOD-deficient mutants was increased in the presence of paraquat, although significant decrease of catalase activity was observed in those stratns. In MnSOD-deficient yeast, however, increment in cellular activity of glutathion peroxldase and catalase by paraquat was observed without any deterioration of membrane lipid. It implies that the lack of mitochondrial SOD could be compensated by both of glutathion peroxldase and catalase, but that only glutathion peroxidase might act for CuZnSOD in cytoplasm. In contrast, all of SOD-deficient mutants showed a significant decrease in catalase activity, but slight increase in the activities of glutathion peroxidase, when cultivated anaerobically in the medium containing paraquat. Nevertheless, any significant changes of lipid peroxides in cell membranes were not observed during anaerobic cultivation of SOD-deficient mutants. It suggests that a little amount of free radicals generated by paraquat under anaerobic condition could be sufficiently overcome by glutathion peroxidase but not by catalase.
