In this paper, an efficient Adaptive quality-of-service (QoS) traffic control scheme with priority scheduling is proposed for the multimedia traffic transmission over wireless access networks. The objective of the proposed adaptive QoS control (AQC) scheme is to realize end-to-end QoS, to be scalable without the excess signaling process, and to adapt dynamically to the network traffic state according to traffic flow characteristics. Here, the reservation scheme can be used over the wireless access network in order to get the per-flow guarantees necessary for implementation of some kinds of multimedia applications. The AQC model is based on both differentiated service model with different lier hop behaviors and priority scheduling one. It consists of several various routers, access points, and bandwidth broker and adopts the IEEE 802.1 le wireless radio technique for wireless access interface. The AQC scheme includes queue management and packet scheduler to transmit class-based packets with different per hop behaviors (PHBs). Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed AQC scheme.

This study discusses salespersons' emotional intelligence, one of the key abilities necessary to meet customers' needs effectively, and express positive emotions in frequent interactions with customer. Emotional intelligence refers to self-controllability and social ability emphasizing pro-social aspect and understanding of others. This study investigates how salespersons' emotional intelligence affects adaptive selling and positive emotional expression during the process of interaction with customers, and how such adaptive selling and positive emotional expression affects the quality of service perceived by customers. The results show that greater salespersons' emotional intelligence results in better adaptive selling and positive emotional expression. Such adaptive selling and positive emotional expression had significant effects on the quality of service perceived by customers. These results are important in that they address emotional intelligence as salespersons' emotional ability, which has been overlooked as an antecedent variable for improving adaptive selling and display of positive emotion, consequently provide another factor to help salespersons improve their selling behavior.

유비쿼터스 시대가 도래함에 따라 서비스 지향 적응형 시스템의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 서비스 지향 적응형 시스템의 개발 단계에 있어, 개발자들은 상황이나 서비스 탐색과 관련한 문제들에 부딪히게 된다. 지금까지 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 연구들이 개별적으로 수행되어 왔지만, SOA를 적응형 시스템에 도입하여 통합적으로 문제를 해결하는 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 서비스 지향 적응형 시스템 개발에 관련된 문제들을 해결하는 통합 프레임워크를 제안한다. 먼저 프레임워크의 프로세스를 정의하고 각 프로세스 요소 별로 지원 방법과 산출물을 설명한다. 그리고 시스템의 개발 단계에서 구체적인 서비스의 사례를 통해 본 프레임워크의 프로세스가 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지 살펴본다.

본 연구는 서비스 조직의 내부시장 지향성이 서비스 제공자의 적응적 서비스 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고, 이를 위하여 어떠한 심리적 과정을 거치는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 선행연구를 바탕으로 서비스 조직의 내부시장 지향성이 서비스 제공자의 인지적 측면인 개인-환경 적합성과 정서적 측면인 직무열의의 심리적 과정을 연속으로 매개하여 적응적 서비스 행동을 증가시킬 것으로 가정하고, 가설 및 연구모델을 설정하였다. 가설검증을 위하여 부산과 경남지역에 위치하는 위탁급식업체의 영양사를 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하고 데이터를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 연구모델에서 제안된 가설을 검증한 결과 내부시장 지향성은 개인-환경 적합성의 핵심요소인 개인-직업 적합성과 개인-조직 적합성을 증가시켰으며, 개인-직업 적합성과 개인-조직 적합성은 직무열의에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 직무열의는 서비스 제공자의 적응적 서비스 행동을 향상시키는 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로, 적응적 서비스 행동에 대한 내부시장 지향성의 영향력은 개인-환경 적합성과 직무열의를 연속적으로 매개함을 본 연구에서 확인하였다.

최근 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍(HTTP adaptive streaming) 서비스가 주목을 받고 있다. 기존 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 서비스의 비디오 품질 조절 기법은 네트워크의 대역폭이나 클라이언트의 버퍼량에 따라 비디오 품질을 조절한다. 그러나 기존 품질 조절 기법은 빈번한 대역폭 변화나 고정된 버퍼 임계로 인해 불필요한 품질 변경이 발생하여 QoE(Quality of Experience)가 저하되는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 변화하는 네트워크 환경에서 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 서비스의 QoE 향상을 위해 평균 비디오 품질을 높이면서 불필요한 품질 변경을 최소화하는 비디오 품질 유지 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 버퍼 점유율과 비디오 품질이 높을 경우 품질 유지 기간을 길게 설정하여 높은 품질을 오래 유지한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 기법이 평균 비디오 품질을 향상시키고 품질 변경을 최소화하여 QoE를 향상시키는 것을 확인하였다.

The study investigated how an adaptive cruise control system induced behavioral adaptation in drivers using a full-scale driving simulator. Forty drivers with different driving styles participated in the study to compare headway-time, vehicle lateral position variation, and head and eye movement when driving with and without the adaptive cruise control system. Results showed that system induced positive behavioral adaptation by drawing consistency in driving speed and headway-time regardless of the driving styles. However, the results also showed that the drivers' reliance on the system induced negative adaptation including reduced lane keeping ability and reduced attention during driving. As a strategy to prevent negative adaptation, the study proposed information service to drivers with the adaptive cruise control system status and driving environment, and investigated effectiveness of the service. Twelve drivers participated in the experiment to compare headway-time, vehicle lateral position variation and subjective ratings when driving with and without the information service. Results showed that the information service assisted the drivers to maintain safer and more comfortable headway-time without impairing drivers' steering ability.

본 논문은 응용수준 액티브네트워크(ALAN)상에서 자치 적응성(Self-Adaptation) 컨텐츠 서비스 네트워크(CSN)에 관하여 언급하였다. 최근에는 컨텐츠 전송에 초점을 둔 CDN(Content Delivery Network)기술과 더불어 서비스 전송에 초점을 둔 CSN(Content Service Network)이 등장하였다. 그리고 CSN과 관련하여 IETF(Internet Export Task Force)에서는 OPES(Open Pluggable Edge Service)표준의 표준화가 진행 중에 있다. 그러나 최근에 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경의 도래와 함께 망에서는 사용자의 자주 변화하는 제약조건에 맞는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 자치적응성(self-adaptation)이 요구되고 있다. 기존 CDN/CSN는 자치 적응성의 고려가 부족하다. 왜냐하면 기존 망이 이러한 기능을 현재 지원할 수 없기 때문이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 망에서 기능성 제공이 가능한 액티브네트워크 상의 자치적응성 CSN의 구조를 제안하였다.

최근 네트워크 기술과 모바일 기기의 발달로 인해 네트워크를 효율적으로 사용하여 비디오 스트리밍 서비스를 제공하기 위해 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 서비스가 주목 받게 되었다. 사용자 중심 방송에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 대화형 멀티미디어에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 대화형 멀티미디어 서비스는 사용자가 선택하는 시나리오에 따라 영상을 재생하는 방식이다. 기존의 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 방식으로 대화형 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하면 사용자가 시나리오를 선택하는 시점에 따라 시나리오 변환에 의한 지연 및 버퍼 언더플로우를 유발하여 사용자 체감 품질을 저하시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 끊김 없는 대화형 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스를 제공하기 위해 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 기반의 대화형 멀티미디어 전송 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 대화형 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 시스템 구조와 프리패칭 기법이다.

In this paper, an improved utility-based cross-layer dynamic subcarrier allocation (DSA) algorithm is proposed for single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, which adopts adaptive service rate control (ASRC) to eliminate the service rate waste and improve the spectral efficiency in heterogeneous network including non-real-time traffic and real-time traffic. In this algorithm, furthermore, a first in first out (FIFO) queuing model with finite space is established on the cross-layer scheduling framework. Simulation results indicate that by taking the service rate constraint as the necessary condition for optimality, the ASRC algorithm can effectively eliminate the service rate waste without compromising the scheduling performance. Moreover, the ASRC algorithm is able to further improve the quality of service (QoS) performance and transmission throughput by contributing an attractive performance trade-off between real-time and non-real-time applications.

This paper proposes a quality-of-service(QoS)-adaptive proxy-switching scheme for multimedia streaming over the Internet. characteristic of multimedia-object about that effect on weight and transport-time causes Streaming Application is restricted to high-quality-service. But using of Proxy or Cache can reduce restraint of media stream. However previous scheme propose only structure of proxy and skill of streaming-object. It couldn't propose proper scheme about limited cache and proxy error occasion. We propose adaptive-proxy-switching mechanism for solution about some problems that caused by single-proxy and limited cache in case of streaming service.
