  • As a government building transferred to the outskirts of a city, it's easy to foresee a doughnut effect from advancement process of the city. In the case of Busan city comparing different cities a doughnut effect is being advanced seriously. To the access method for a city center activation the possibility which there will be a various branch, but in this research we analyzed factors of the stagnation in the public Government building neighboring area. And then made a proposal for the city activation plan by transferring the public Government building, analyze influence to surrounding areas using factor analysis. Hence, the object of this paper is to propose a plan for the activation of existig city and evaluates it which is presented consequently. In the case of Dongrae government office, a problem of the neighboring area and condition of present were surveyed and causes of the stagnation in existing city analyzed. Consequently the important five factors were extracted as follows; 1) historical and the cultural factor, 2) factor of creating the special street, 3) urban planning factor, 4) factor of transferring government office.

  • Recently, a method of finding the attention area or localization area for an object of an image using CAM (Class Activation Map)[1] has been variously carried out as a study of WSOL (Weakly Supervised Object Localization). The attention area extraction from the object heat map using CAM has a disadvantage in that it cannot find the entire area of the object by focusing mainly on the part where the features are most concentrated in the object. To improve this, using CAM and Selective Search[6] together, we first expand the attention area in the heat map, and a Gaussian smoothing is applied to the extended area to generate retraining data. Finally we train the data to expand the attention area of the objects. The proposed method requires retraining only once, and the search time to find an localization area is greatly reduced since the selective search is not needed in this stage. Through the experiment, the attention area was expanded from the existing CAM heat maps, and in the calculation of IOU (Intersection of Union) with the ground truth for the bounding box of the expanded attention area, about 58% was improved compared to the existing CAM.

  • We present the K-Ar age dating results of <0.1㎛ fraction of the selected fault rocks from the Yangsan fault in the Yeonghae area. Based on the mineralogical characterization, the <0.1㎛ fractions were mostly composed of 1Md illite polytype, or I-S interstratified mineral, which should be formed by fault activation. Therefore, we determined the timings of fault activation events by analyzing K-Ar age-dating for the <0.1㎛ fractions. Accordingly, the activation timings of Yangsan Fault in the Yeonghae area were determined as 45.5±1.1 Ma, 50.9±1.2 Ma, 58.2±1.3 Ma, 60.8±1.4 Ma, 65.3±1.6 Ma, 66.8±1.5 Ma, 67.1±1.5 Ma, and 75.1±1.7 Ma. These results indicate that at least 5-times of major fault events occurred in the Yangsan fault from late Mesozoic to Cenozoic Era. In the outcrop, age dating results tend to be younger age from the location of the oldest sample(75.1±1.7 Ma) toward to the both sides. From the results, it suggests that the fault activation extends from the location of oldest age saple to both sides. This geochronological research of the multiple fault activation ages for the Yangsan Fault will provide crucial information for establishing the tectonic evolution model in the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula.

  • Poly(acrylonitrile)(PAN) solutions in dimethylformamide(DMF) were electrospun to prepare webs consisting of 400nm ultra-fine fibers. The webs were oxidatively stabilized, activated by steam and resulted to be activated carbon fibers(ACFs). The specific surface area was $800\~1230 m^2/g$, which showed a trend of a decrease of the surface area with an increase in activation temperature, showing opposite behavior to the other ACFs. The activation energy of the stabilized fibers for the steam activation was determined as 29.2 kJ/mol to be relatively low indicating the easier activation than that of other carbonized fibers. The ACF webs were characterized by pore size and specific surface uea which would be related to the specific capacitance of the electrical double layer capacitor (EDLC). The specific capacitances measured were 27 F/g, 25 F/g, 22 F/g at the respective activation temperature of $700^{circ}C,\;750^{\circ}C\;800^{\circ}C$, showing similar trend with the specific surface area i.e., the higher activation temperature was, the lower specific capacitance resulted.

  • These experiments were performed to investigate the effect of saline, monosodium L-glutamate(MSG), MSG-phenylalanine, and/or phenylalanine on TH-immunoreactivity in arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus and hind limb area of cerebral cortex in rats using the immunohistochemical methods. The result were as follows: 1. TH-immunoreactive neurons in hind limb area of cerebral cortex and arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus were decreased in MSG treated group compared to the saline treated group and also lesions in arcuate nucleus and median eminence of hypothalamus were increased with MSG treatment 2. TH-immunoreactive neurons in median eminence and arcuate nucleus were increased in phenylalanine treated group compared to the saline treated group and also neurons were more increased in lamina V of hind limb area of cerebral cortex with phenylalanine treatment. 3. TH-immunoreactive neurons in median eminence and arcuate nucleus were decreased in MSG-phenylalanine treated group compared to the phenylalanine treated group and increased compared to the MSG treated group. In lamina V of hind limb area of cerebral cortex, TH-immunoreactive neurons were more decreased in MSG-phenylalanine treated group than that of the phenylalanine treated group, and more increased than that of MSG treated group. These experiments indicated that TH-immunoreactive neurons in hypothalamus and cerebral cortex were increased due to the activation of phenylalanine and decreased by suppressing activation of phenylalanine through MSG treatment.

  • Purpose: The contribution of the supplementary motor area (SMA) to the control of voluntary movement has been revealed. We investigated the changesin the SMA for motor learning of the reaching movement in stroke patient using functional MRI. Methods: The subject was a right-handed 55 year-old woman with left hemiparesis due to an intracerebral hemorrhage. She performed reaching movement during fMRI scanning before and after reaching training in four weeks. The motor assessment scale and surface EMG were used to evaluate the paretic upper limb function and muscle activation. Results: In the fMRI result, contralateral primary sensorimotor cortex (SM1) was activated before and after training. SMA was only activated after training. In addition, muscle activation of the paretic upper limb was similar to that of the unaffected upper limb after training. Conclusion: These findings suggest SMA is related to the execution of a novel movement pattern resulting in motor learning in stroke patients.

  • Recently, the treat of sludge is usually progressed by ocean disposal. But it will be totally banned by content of its heavy metal according to London Dumping Convention, gradually. The stable way of treat of sewage sludge should be examined urgently. To solve the problem, recently, there are efficient and environment-oriented method. One of them is to produce absorbent through the activation. This study produces absorbent through steam activation. As basic experiment, optimum activation condition for preparation of good absorbent is researched through study of the fellowing variables : steam flow rate, activated temperature, activation time. As the result of this with standard on iodine adsorptivity, it is chosen, that steam flow rate "30 mL/hr", activation temperature $"500^{\circ}C"$, activation time "60 minutes". At the time, iodine adsorptivity and yield shown that 228.4 mg/g, 77.23%. And also, by using nitrogen adsorption, SEM and EDS are confirmed that pore development, specific surface area, mean pore size, chemical component and content. Pore developed by steam activation is also confirmed that it is micropore.
