Auxin is a group of small natural and synthetic molecules having diverse regulatory functions in plant growth and development. In this review, two auxin binding proteins identified by biochemical experiments to measure their auxin binding activities and biochemical functions are described. ABP1, a 22 kDa auxin binding protein, shows strong auxin binding affinity and possibly plays an important role in plant development, although its biochemical function are still unclear. ABP57, a 57 kDa soluble protein from rice shoots, has both of IAA binding activity and the plasma membrane proton pump activation. Although it is yet to be accomplished, the improvement of agronomic traits using auxin binding proteins is worth to be considered, since auxin is known to be related to such a diverse crop traits.

Purpose - This study aims to suggest policy directions for small retail markets in Korea by statistical analysis, which would help small retailers who are facing various difficulties. Research design, data, methodology - This study diagnoses the problems faced by small retail industries in Korea based on government statistics. In addition, this study identifies three areas for successful collaboration between the SSMs and traditional markets-information distribution, products, and fair trade. Results - This study makes three recommendations-information distribution, products, and fair trade. This includes activation of the existing mutual collaboration efforts, channels, CSR report writing and publicity, ethical management cooperation seminars, contract systems of no return, establishment of staff outsourcing standards, and support for suppliers' organizations. Conclusions - Our suggestions for a collaborative system (based on the three suggestions) show that collaboration rather than confrontation between large and small markets can lead to a sales increase of 2,258.2 billion Won, which is equivalent to the sales loss in 11 traditional markets in one year in Busan.
The purpose of this study is to analyze debt zeroing policy process of Yong-in city based on the Kingdon's Multiple Stream Framework in order to contribute to strengthening financial capacity and competitiveness of local governments. This study focused on the Yong-in case because the city had a local debt of about KRW 800 billion as of 2012, but it completed the debt repayment in early 2017. The results are as follows. First, policy problem streams are the perception of Yongin City's debt indicator, the failure of the LRT project, and the failure of sale of buildinglots of Yukbuk district. Second, in the political stream, there have been the election of new governors, cooperation of local administration and citizens like budget cut. Third, policy alternative streams are the reduction of large-scale investment projects, the expansion of revenues through the sale of idle shared properties, the increase of tax revenues, and the activation of light rail. As the each streams flowed independently, the window of policy change opened by the revitalization of the real estate market and the sale of buildinglots of Yukbuk distric and combined with other policy factors such as the activation of the light rail. In this process, the role of the policy entrepreneurs such as negotiation and persuasion of the related institutions influenced achieving tight fiscal policy. As a result of this policy output, Yongin City achieved zero debt. This study suggests that it is necessary not only the importance of the role of policy entrepreneurs but also of the administrative and citizen cooperation and the institutional complement such as a large scale of the investment review system.

In modern society, there is a growing demand for human tissue donation along with organ donation. However, the awareness of tissue donation and actual donation rates remain very low in South Korea. This study was undertaken to evaluate the current status of domestic laws and systems, and to compare them with the operation systems of major foreign countries, by reviewing literature and web sites of organ donation and registration. The authors present three measures to promote human tissue donation in Korea: integration of a dual legal system in a legal aspect, vitalization of the Opt-out system in terms of system operation, and activation of public relations in terms of social and cultural aspects. The Opt-out system, in particular, is the most effective way to activate transplants in the form of presumed consent of countries without undue pressure. However, the presumed consent method requires various stages of social public debate, and the requirement is a proper domestic understanding of the registration system for rejection. In conclusion, we believe the solution towards a positive inclination for organ donation is a public policy to increase the supply for organs and human tissue transplants, and positive perception of donations, public promotion, and support for postmortem donors and their families.

The present study investigated the inflammatory hypersensitivity following activation of the transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor-1(TRPV1) in rats. Experiments were carried out on male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 220-260g. Following an subcutaneous injection of 5% formalin in the orofacial area, nociceptive scratching behavior was recorded for 9 successive 5-min intervals in rats. The subcutaneous injection of $25{\mu}L$ of 5% formalin produced noxious scratching behavior. Injection of capsaicin, TRPV1 agonist, alone into the vibrissa pad did not produced nociceptive behavior. After subcutaneous injection of capsaicin(0$0.1{\mu}g$, $1{\mu}g/10{\mu}L$) in the formalin-treated rats, nociceptive scratching behavior was recorded for 9 successive 5-min internals. Injection of capsaicin into the vibrissa pad significantly increased the number of scratches at 1 hours after injection. Noxious behavioral responses induced by subcutaneous capsaicin injection were significantly potentiated in formalin-treated rats. Pre or post-treatment with iodo-resinaferatoxin(IRTX), TRPV1 antagonist, significantly attenuated increased nociceptive behavior. These findings suggest that activation of the TRPV1 enhanced formalin-induced inflammatory pain in the orofacial area of rats.

In this study, an empirical analysis was performed with regards to traditional markets in Seoul, South Korea to find which physical maintenance elements, such as facility improvement for successful urban restoration, have greater effects on the expectation and activation awareness of successful urban restoration. This study targeted traditional markets located at the center of Seoul, which are visited by many domestic and international tourists as well as general consumers and are revitalizing the downtown area. A survey was conducted to collect a total of 515 completed questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results of the analyses in this study indicate relevant urban invigoration factors (psychological, physical, diversity, functional, and stability factors), and it was observed that the expectation of urban regeneration was under the direct influence of the invigoration factors. Such a finding is meaningful in that it suggests a set of criteria to evaluate the concept of traditional markets in a comprehensive manner for successful urban regeneration while highlighting relevant invigoration factors for traditional marketplaces for the purpose of urban regeneration.

The purpose of a utility tunnel is to prevent repeated excavation as well as disasters and calamity. Domestic utility tunnels have been built in new town development plans. Currently, it is difficult to establish a utility tunnel due to a conflict of opinions by organization and financing. In this paper, research was conducted based on systematic procedures to suggest ways of improving the activation of utility tunnels in new cities and existing cities. First, a survey was conducted on the laws and status of utility tunnels, and problems were derived based on the review and analysis of the status. Finally, a method suggesting improvement measures to solve problems was applied. Based on the related laws and problems, the status of the development project was analyzed to select the installation scale in the utility tunnel, and the appropriate scale was reviewed through economic feasibility analysis of the installation scale under 2 million square meters. Considering the new city and the existing city, it was proposed to support administrative expenses to reduce the burden on additional installation areas and occupied institutions in a utility tunnel. In addition, improvement plans were presented for the details of the master plan for reviewing the installation regional of the utility tunnel. This paper will help officials to work smoothly when planning and installing utility tunnels in the future.

The aim of this study was to compare the effects of a horseback riding simulator, McKenzie, and gym ball exercises on the Korean-Oswestry Disability Index (K-ODI) and muscle activation in people suffering from chronic low back pain. The study was conducted on 30 adults with a K-ODI of 5 or more and chronic low back pain. This experiment was conducted from May to June 2020. They were randomly divided into the horse-riding exercise group (HEG), McKenzie exercise group (MEG), and the gym ball exercise group (GEG). Each group performed the relevant exercises for six weeks, three times a week. The low back pain was measured with K-ODI, and muscle activation was measured with surface electromyography (SEMG). A paired t-test was conducted to verify the change before and after the experiment in the groups, and a one-way ANOVA was conducted to verify the difference between the three groups. The results of the study showed significant differences before and after the experiment. K-ODI and muscle activity improved (p>.05), and significant differences were also found between the groups (p<.05). This study concluded that horse riding and McKenzie exercises could be effective methods for the treatment of pain and to stabilize the lumbar region in patients with chronic low back pain.

Although the interest in NBR has been increasing due to the recent developments of the aerospace sector, there are few reports on HNBR's aeronautical oil, particularly evaluations of the accelerated life of harsh factors. In this study, the tensile strength was adopted as a performance evaluation factor to evaluate the accelerated life of HNBR used in the aviation field. The accelerated stress factor affecting the performance-aging characteristics was defined as temperature. The acceleration stress factor was determined to be temperature, and the result of measuring the tensile strength change over time. The sample for the acceleration condition was taken out of the oven for a certain period and left at room temperature for 24 hours. The dumbbell type 3 specimens were manufactured according to the standard specified in KS M 6518 and were measured the tensile strength, a factor in accelerated life evaluations. The activation energy was 0.895, and the shape parameter was 1.152 using the Arrhenius model. The characteristic life obtained from the tensile strength of the HNBR specimen immersed in aviation oil at 20℃ was 272,256 hours; the average life was 258,965 hours, and the B10 life was 38,624 hours.
