Most of the literature on compressed sensing has not paid enough attention to scenarios in which the number of acquired measurements is insufficient to satisfy minimal exact reconstruction requirements. In practice, encountering such scenarios is highly likely, either intentionally or unintentionally, that is, due to high sensing cost or to the lack of knowledge of signal properties. We analyze signal reconstruction performance in this setting. The main result is an expression of the reconstruction error as a function of the number of acquired measurements.

The two main forms of myositis ossificans are congenital and acquired. Either form is rare in the head and neck region. The acquired form is often due to trauma, with bullying as a fairly common cause. This report of myositis ossificans of the platysma in an 11-year-old female patient emphasizes the need for a high index of suspicion in unexplainable facial swellings in children and the benefit of modern investigative modalities in their management.

A conceptual design of marine environmental information system(MEIS) for vessels running in the ocean was carried out. MEIS consists of a remote acquisition system of raw environmental data, a physical and numerical processing system of acquired raw data, and a supporting satellite communication system for data transfer. The efficiency of a remote acquisition system depends on the amount of acquired data and its real-time accessibility, while the efficiency of a data processing system is governed by the flexibility and accuracy of data analysis tools.

This study is a preliminary investigation of the nature of discourse marker acquisition in Korean American speakers of English. Discourse markers are of interest because they are not an aspect of language taught through formal instruction either to native or non-native speakers. Therefore, discourse marker use serves as indirect evidence of face-to-face interaction with native speakers and an indicator of integration. In this light, the present study examines the presence of discourse markers in Korean Americans. The markers chosen for analysis were you know, like, and I mean. The data consist of spontaneous speech elicited from interviews. Sociolinguistic variables such as age, sex, and generation (i.e., $1^{st}$, 1.5, $2^{nd}$) were examined. Results show that there appears to be interaction between the variables and discourse marker use. While all speakers showed variable acquisition of markers, younger, female, and 1.5 generation speakers were found to use discourse markers more than other speakers. Although discourse marker use is optional and thus not a linguistic feature that must be necessarily acquired, it is clear that use is pervasive and acquired differentially by English speakers irrespective of whether they are native or not.

The states of control loops in existing actual systems are changed according to time varying conditions of controllest process and other system components. Adjusting control parameters properly at site which is performed generally by Ziegler & Nichols mthod is important for safe and efficient operation, but the method may require much time to adjust and not easy to inexperienced engineers. This study is aimed to propose more handy method to adjust control parameters by plotting operating conditions on the space of adjusting parameters. One loop of model control system without perturbation condition has been adopted and its stability limit was plotted on the coordinates of Gain and Integral time which was acquired after analyzing Nyquist diagrams and time domain responses. The result showed that the sets of adjusting parameters according to critical stability and proper stability could be acquired reasonably through both responses and the curves on parameter space revealed available patterns for the purpose of easy maintenance of control characteristics.

To promote environmentally responsible architectural practice, many nations have established their own Green Building Certification system. Until 2007, 138 Education facilities acquired certification but many people don't fully understand each item of Green building Certification Criteria yet. The purpose of this study is to analyze 40 certified Education facilities and to find the reasons why they had acquired low scores and high scores. These scores lead us to propose a way that each contents the efficient approaches and alternative visions of Education facilities. Because the part of material and resource is initial of the projects, this study focuses on it and aims to pick out the items requiring improvement for the Education facilities. We expect to be helpful for the next design works through result of this thorough study.

This study examined the relationship between children's temperament and their early vocabulary acquisition. Mothers of 317 toddlers (18 months of age) completed the Toddler Temperament Scale(Bak, 1996) and a vocabulary checklist(Pae, 2002). Results showed that mood, adaptability, and activity were associated with vocabulary acquisition. Specifically, infants rated as having a positive mood and low activity level acquired more expressive words. On the other hands, infants rated as easily adaptive and low activity level acquired more receptive words. These results suggest that different components of temperament may influence the way in which toddlers acquire vocabulary.

In this study, an image processing algorithm was developed to increase readability of the images of specific parts of a KTX train acquired by using a mobile digital radiographic testing device in a situation where a running train is stopped. The image processing algorithm was realized by using a Visual C++ development tool. The algorithm developed in this study allows to select an interested region in the acquired images when the interested region is suspected to cause a problem, and applies a thinning process based Sobel operators to the selected region. The experimental results show that the readability of defect parts that are not visible to naked eyes was increased through edge detector. Application of the algorithm developed in this study may help to accurately read non-destructive inspection images.

The valve performance has been evaluated from the theoretical equation based on design information such as packing thrust, spring preload and friction coefficient(${\mu}$). The accuracy of those data can be lower than that of vendor's initial design data. Especially, the friction coefficient can be degraded with time than the original condition and the valve performance calculated using the previous friction coefficient can not be available. Accordingly, this paper is describing a new performance evaluation method of valve based on diagnostic test data which are acquired from a site valve tested in static and dynamic conditions. Especially, this paper provides a new method using friction coefficient(${\mu}$) which is derived from the diagnostic test data acquired in the valve's design basis condition.

In this paper we studied for multi-user detection system, which hold the merit of CDMA system and can enhance the system capacity. We designed actually realizable quasi-optimal multiuser detection system by use of linear equalizer on the concept that multiuser detection algorithm can be reduced by combining TDMA with CDMA. we call this the hybrid TDMA/CDMA system. And we proposed multiuser detection system, which can use PSAD and MSDD channel estimation method. As a result of performance analysis we acquired equal or much better performance by use of linear multichannel equalizer in the case of not so many user. And on the occasion of many user within cell we can also acquired much better performance in comparison with conventional single user detection system by use of hybrid TDMA/CDMA system.
