Fermentation patterns were changed by adding magnesium sulfate to the fermentation broth and its effect on enhancement of sisomicin production was investigated. When cell growth was expressed by DNA content, trophophase and idiophase were separated, but not by dry cell weight. On the other hand, addition of magnesium sulfate had the antibiotic accumulated inside the cells be liberated into the outside, and this effect resulted in improving the final antibiotic yield. The maximum antibrotic yield was obtained when 100 mM magnesium sulfate was added after one day of cultivation, and enhanced more than three times compared to that of the control to which it was not added.

Seven kinds of hysteric model were used and classified three groups considering the absorbing capacities of strain energy for each model. Four kids of each model. Four kinds of strong motion earthquake record (two of them were recorded in Japan and the others in U.S.A) are used. The yield strength of building was set in the ratio to the maximum input acceleration (Yield Strength / Maximum Acceleration = 0.5~3.0). Natural periods of structures were varied 0.1~3.0 second with an interval of 0.1 second. First group : Elastic-Plastic model, Ramberg-Osgood model Second group : Degrading Tri-liner model, Takeda model Third group : Slip model, Origin model, Max-D model Elastic-plastic response spectra were calculated for response velocities, displacement, energy input, ductility factors, accumulated ductility factors. The equivalent response values of M.D.O.F systems against S.D.O.F system were calculated to compare the relationship of two systems.

During the pipe forming process, a steel plate undergoes inelastic behavior multiple times under a load condition repeating tension and compression in the circumferential direction. It derives local reduction or increase of yield strength within the thickness of steel pipes by the plastic hardening and Bauschinger effect. In this study, a combined hardening model is proposed to effectively predict variations of yield strength in the circumferential direction of API-X65 and X70 steel pipes with relatively low t/D ratio during the forming process, which is expected to experience accumulated plastic strain of 2~3%, the typical Lüder band range in a low-carbon steel. Cyclic tensile tests of API-X65 and X70 steels were performed, and the parameters of the proposed model for the steels were calibrated using the test results. Bending-flattening tests to simulate repeated tension and compression during pipe forming were followed for API-X65 and X70 steels, and the results were compared with those by the proposed model and Zou et al. (2016), in order to verify the process of material model calibration based on tension-compression cyclic test, and the accuracy of the proposed model. Finally, parametric analysis for the yield strength of the steel plate in the circumferential direction of UOE pipe was conducted to investigate the effects of t/D and expansion ratios after O-forming on the yield strength. The results confirmed that the model by Zou et al. (2016) underestimated the yield strength of steel pipe with relatively low t/D ratio, and the parametric analysis showed that the t/D and expansion ratio have a significant impact on the strength of steel pipe.
Supplying rate of nitrogen at HV was 172.8 kg $ha^{-1}$, HV/B was 64.3 kg $ha^{-1}$ and B was 38.6 kg $ha^{-1}$. The Rice yield was 7.05 ton $ha^{-1}$ when the nitrogen supply was the largest with HV and 5.42 ton $ha^{-1}$ was produced on HV/B. The chemical characteristics of soil have lower pH and exchangeable cations(Ca and Mg) at B, HV and HV/B, rather than at CF because green manure was applied at the former step. However, the physical characteristics of the soil and the porosity showed different tendency which was that it was better at the green manure crops than CF. Nitrogen nutrient balance was showed the most balanced at CF and field of application of green manure crops were required the appropriate management if future crops would be cultivated because nitrogen nutrient could be exhausted or accumulated.
The main goal of the coordinated project development of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals of Y-90 and Re-188 is to exploit advancements in radionuclide production technology. Here, direct and indirect production methods with medium reactor and cyclotron are compared to evaluate derived neutron flux and production yield. First, nano-sized 186W and 89Y specimens are suspended in water in a quartz vial by FLUKA simulation. Then, the solution is irradiated for 4 days under 9E+14 n/cm2/s neutron flux of reactor. Also, a neutron activator including three layers-lead moderator, graphite reflector, and polyethylene absorbent- is simulated and tungsten target is irradiated by 60 MeV protons of cyclotron to generate induced neutrons for 188W and 90Sr production via neutron capture. As the neutron energy reduced, the flux gradually increased towards epithermal range to satisfy (n/2n,γ) reactions. The obtained specific activities at saturation were higher than the reported experimental values because the accumulated epithermal flux and nano-sized specimens influence the outcomes. The beta emitters, which are widely utilized in brachytherapy, appeal an alternative route to locally achieve a rational yield. Therefore, the proposed method via neutron activator may ascertain these broad requirements.

The objective of this study was to construct a forage rye (FR) dry matter yield (DMY) estimation model based on climate data by locations in South Korea. The data set (n = 549) during 29 years were used. Six optimal climatic variables were selected through stepwise multiple regression analysis with DMY as the response variable. Subsequently, via general linear model, the final model including the six climatic variables and cultivated locations as dummy variables was constructed as follows: DMY = 104.166SGD + 1.454AAT + 147.863MTJ + 59.183PAT150 - 4.693SRF + 45.106SRD - 5230.001 + Location, where SGD was spring growing days, AAT was autumnal accumulated temperature, MTJ was mean temperature in January, PAT150 was period to accumulated temperature 150, SRF was spring rainfall, and SRD was spring rainfall days. The model constructed in this research could explain 24.4 % of the variations in DMY of FR. The homoscedasticity and the assumption that the mean of the residuals were equal to zero was satisfied. The goodness-of-fit of the model was proper based on most scatters of the predicted DMY values fell within the 95% confidence interval.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the connections of the seismic-performance values for domestic-performance-based designs. Basic research on the performance design method has been increasing of late, along with performance-based organization investigations. These investigations concern the performance level state of steel structure buildings. According to the performance limit state, seismic-performance values should be presented as appropriate steel structure engineering amounts. The first step, based on the full-scale steel structure experiments, involves researching on the making of a basic document. The moment-rotation angle relationship results of the experiment on the moment-frame connection were used to assort the functional and undamaged limits, which were assumed to be less than the yield moment. Moreover, the repairable and safety limits, which were assumed to exist between the yield and maximum moments, were assorted by investigating the accumulated plastic deformation ratio.
6 years data on the plant growth and grain yield of 13 rice varieties were investigated to define the relations between meteological conditions and plant growth of rice including grain yield. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Variation of average temperature by years showed great number at early and middle July, middle August and early November, however smallest figure at late June and late July. And that of sunshine hours by years were least at late June and late July, and largest at middle July. 2. Among rice yield components variation of panicle number per hill by years was biggest and that of 1000 grain weight least. Rate of variation of plant growth and rice yield was different by rice varieties. 3. Direct effects on rice yield was greatest at maturing ratio and next at 1000 grain weight. The effects of yield factor on the rice yield wers different by years. 4. Higher temperature and longer sunshine delayed the miaxmum tillering stage but shortened the days from seeding to heading. 5. A significant negative correlation was recognized between the number of panicles per hill and average temperature of 11 to 40 days after transplanting, and number of grains per panicle was correlated with the average temperature of 11 to 70 days after transplanting. High temperature before heading time showed atime decreased maturing ratio. 6. Accumulated temperature was highly correlated with 1000 grain weight in all season. Highest positive correltaion was recognized between grain yield of rice and average temperature of 61 to 70 days after transplanting but correlations between rice yield and average temperature after heading stage were negative. 7. Highly significant correlations were confirmed between maturing ratio and sunshine hours of 31 to 50 days as well as 61 to 70 days after transplanting, and maturing ratio was highly correlated with accumulated hours of sunshine. Correlation between rice yield and hours of sunshine was significant at 51 to 60 days after transplanting.

Optimum transplanting time for extremely early rice cultivation as an after-crop of fruit and vegetables under greenhouse conditions in the southern area was determined. Rice was transplanted on March 10, March 20, March 30, April 10 and April 20 far three years from 1998 to 2000. Meteorological computations for rice production were high for heading between early May and early July, but they were too low for heading between late July and early August. Especially the expected yield predicted with 35,000 spikelets, the average spikelets per $m^2$ for extremely early transplanting. Computation for heading between late July and early August was low by 106 kg/10a compared with that yield at heading during the same period in the field. As the transplanting date in extremely early rice cultivation was earlier) rice growth at early stages was more retarded by low temperature. Rice growth at heading stage recovered with high temperature, showing less difference for the transplanting date. Abnormal tillers occurred by 15.5∼22.2%. The contribution of 1,000 grain weight${\times}$ripened grain ratio to yield of the extremely early rice cultivation in the greenhouse was 50.6%, indicating 16% hi일or than the degree of panicle per $m^2$ on yield. The estimated optimum transplanting time on the basis of yield for the extremely early greenhouse rice cultivation ranged from March 19 to April 28, and the estimated critical transplanting date on the basis of accumulated effective temperature was March 12. Rice reduced the amount of NO$_3$-N by 97.1% and EC by 90.5% in greenhouse soil with continuous fruit/vegetables fer more than a 10-year period, and completely removed the root-knot nematodes.
This experiment was carried out to evaluate the flooding injury and yield compensating ability by uppernode tillers formed during the recovery periods. Rice plants grown in experimental field transplanted on 1st, June were completely flooded for 3 days by the artificial flooding device in each different growth stage such as middle tillering stage (20 days after transplanting), young panicle formation stage, meiotic stage and heading stage. And the farmer's rice fields which had various transplanting dates were completely flooded for 3 days by typhoon 'Thelma' from 16th to 18th, July, 1987. Percent of dead leaves and yield reduction of rice in experimental field flooded at the different growth stages were resulted that the earlier growth stages were the lower damage because of the low temperature in the earlier growth stage, but it showed opposite tendency in farmer's rice field flooded in high temperature season by typhoon 'Thelma'. Rice yield compensating ability attained to 66% of check plot yield was greatly depend on uppernode panicles induced after damage of original young panicles. Uppernode panicle produced 236 kg per 10a in polished rice by securing 690$^{\circ}C$ of accumulated mean temperature and 210 hours of sunshine during the ripening periods when headed up to 15th of September.
