In recent years building floors become larger and more spacious due to the development of new design methods and high strength and light weight materials, However, such long span floor systems may provide smaller amount of damping and have longer period so that they would be more vulnerable to the floor vibration. This study attempts to evaluate the performance of the floors in typical apartment buildings. Three different floors with the area of $43.2m^2 41.44m^2 and 34.5m^2$, were investigated. The guideline provided by AISC(1997) is used to check the acceptability of the floor vibration.

This paper puts forward an analysis of scope interactions between Japanese adverbial quantifiers like mainichi 'everyday'and tokidoki 'sometimes'and a negative morpheme nai 'not'on the basis of f(ocus)-structures. In this analysis, three f-structures are assigned to a sentence with an adverbial quantifier and a negative morpheme. One of them represents a negation-wide reading, and the other two represent quantifier-wide readings. Some f-structures, however, are unacceptable due to semantic or pragmatic factors. Different scope behaviors of the two quantifiers mentioned above can then be ascribed to acceptability of f-structures.

One of the most difficult and important problems associated with radiated electromagnetic emissions from digital devices are the determination of antenna factor and site acceptability of an open area test site. This paper presents the problems of the open area test site and EMC antennas far measuring electromagnetic interferences radiated from the equipements. It seems desirable that the antenna factor of EMC antennas be revised to the antenna factor with zero reflection presented in this paper for accurate measurements.

The effects of replacement of sucrose with isomaltooligosaccharide(IMO) on physical, sensory and textural characteristics of high-ratio cakes were investigated. As IMO level increased, the specific gravity of batter decreased and the moisture content of crumb increased. A higher degree of IMO replacement for sucrose made cakes softer and more moist. The 40% and 60% IMO replcement cakes showed good acceptability. The hardness, chewiness and gumminess measured by texture analyzer were decreased with increasing IMO level.

The goal of this article is to ascertain the factors that govern consumers' choosing to outbound travel product. The authors assess the consumers' travel product choosing processes with information search(internal knowledge, external information knowledge). alternative evaluation(perceived image, emotional experience, price acceptability, appeal, trust), and alternative choice(purchasing intention). Using data on Thailand travel product, the authors find considerable results and conclude by discussing prescriptive recommendations for the travel industry.

Thermal simulation of typical stack-type and newly proposed planar-type micro-gas sensors were studied by FEM method. The thermal analyses for the proposed planar structure including temperatur distribution over the sensing layer and power consumption of the heater were carried using finite element method by computer simulation and well compared with those of typical stack-type micro-gas sensor. The thermal properties of the microsensor from thermal simulation were compared with those of a actual device to investigate the acceptability of the computer simulation.

본 연구는 각각 다른 비율의 보리가루가 (0,20,30,40%) 섞여진 Home Made Yeast Breads의 질과 기호에 대한 조사로 Penetrometer과 Volumeter를 사용한 객관적 평가와, korean과 Caucasian의 Panelists에 의한 주관적 평가가 이루어졌다. 결과로 보리가루의 양이 증가함에 따라 Objective와 Subjective Score의 평균치가 감소하였지만 20% 이상의 보리가루가 혼합된 식빵이라도 문화적 배경에 관계없이 받아들여 질수 있고 전반적으로 Korean이 Caucasian 보다 보리가루 섞인 식빵을 더 좋아 하는 것으로 나타났다.

Astringency in persimmons was removed by immersing in 0.5% acetic acid or various concentrations(0.1%, 0.5%, and 1.0%) of chitosan solutions for 4 days at 18$^{\circ}C$. During 5-days immersion, soluble tannin contents in persimmons decreased more rapidly while pH, 。Brix, and hardness decreased more slowly with increasing chitosan concentration. No noticeable color changes and decay were observed during this period. Sensory analyses 4 days after immersion indicated that persimmons immersed in 1.0% chitosan solution showed the best results for firmness and overall acceptability.

In electrification of the Honam line, the grounding method of the copper wire shield of 66kV feeder cable was disputed. This paper describes that the review of the proper earthing method(one-side earthing or both-side earthing) under consideration of the site condition and the acceptability of the induction voltage of the shield on the end of the cable.
