프레임을 유연체로 고려한 대형트럭 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model of a Large-sized Truck Considering the Frame as a Flexible Body)

  • This paper develops a computer model for estimating the handling of a cabover type large-sized truck. The truck is composed of front and rear suspension systems, a frame, a cab, and ten tires. The computer model is developed using ADAMS. A shock absorber, a rubber bush, and a leaf spring aunt a lot on the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. Their stiffness and damping coefficient are measured and used as input data of the computer model. Leaf springs in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing them three links and joining them with joints. To improve the reliability of the developed computer model, the frame is considered as a flexible body. Thus, the frame is modeled by finite elements using MSC/PATRAN. A mode analysis is performed with the frame model using MSC/NASTRAN in order to link the frame model to the computer model. To verify the reliability of the developed computer model, a double lane change test is performed with an actual vehicle. In the double lane change, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and roll angle are measured. Those test results are compared with the simulation results.

  • In this paper, a roll and pitch estimation algorithm using a set of accelerometers and wireless sensor networks(S/N) is presented for use in a passenger vehicle. While an inertial measurement unit(IMU) is generally used for roll/pitch estimation, performance may be degraded in the presence of longitudinal acceleration and yaw motion. To compensate for this performance degradation, a new roll and pitch estimation algorithm is proposed that uses an accelerometer array, global positioning system(GPS) and in-vehicle networks to get information from yaw rate and roll rate sensors. Angular acceleration and roll and pitch approximation are first calculated based on vehicle kinematics. A discrete Kalman filter is then applied to estimate both roll and pitch more precisely by reducing noise from the running engine and from road disturbance. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed algorithm is shown by comparing its performance experimentally with that of an IMU in the framework of an indoor test platform as well as a test vehicle.

  • An experimental study of impinging jet-flow structure has been carried out for a fully developed single circular jet impingement cooling on a flat plate, and the effect of the wall thickness at nozzle exit edge is investigated. Impinging jet flow structures have been measured by Laser-Doppler Velocimeter to interpret the heat transfer results presented previously by Yoon et al.(sup)(10) The peaks of heat transfer rate are observed near the nozzle edge owing to the radial acceleration of jet flow when the nozzle locates close to the impingement plate. The growth of the velocity fluctuations in the wall jet flow is induced by the vortices which originate in the jet shear layer, and consequently the radial distribution of local Nusselt numbers has a secondary peak at the certain radial position. As a wall of circular pipe nozzle becomes thicker for small nozzle-to-target distance, the entrainment can be inhibited, consequently, the acceleration of wall jet flow is reduced and the heat transfer rate decreases.

  • In order to verify the acceleration effect of low level laser (LLL) on oral mucosal wound healing process at cell biological level, the author studied growth pattern and ultrastructure in human gingival fibroblasts flashed by GaAlAs LLL-830 nm, 15mW for 10 minutes/flash one to three times at interval of 3-4 days through the evaluation of cell growth rate, protein conent/cell, DNA content/cell and ultrastructural changes for 14 days. The results were as follows : 1. The growth rate in gingival fibloblasts treated by LLL showed 4 orderly stages-decreasing stage after LLL treatment, acute increasing stage 3 days after LLL treatment, restring stage and recovering stage. 2. The effect of multiple flashes on LLL at interval of 3 days more or less was not proportional to times of flash on acceleration of growth in gingival fibroblasts. 3. The total protein content per gingival fibroblast was not significantly changed by LLL treatment in comparison with control group. But some kinds of protein which might be cell growth promoting factors were decreased immediately after LLL treatment, thereafter were acutely increased in cellular protein profile. 4. In ultrastructural changes of gingival fibroblasts treated by LLL, more prominent rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondrial hyperplasia/hypertrophy and increased extracellular fibrillar matrix were observed in comparison with control group under same experimental period.

국부 훼손특성을 이용한 적응적 영상복원 (Adaptive Image Restoration Using Local Characteristics of Degradation)

  • 카메라의 렌즈 등 광학장비의 성능 제한으로 인하여 초점이 맞지 않아 흐려지고 잡음으로 훼손된 영상을 복원하는데 일반적으로 반복복원방법이 사용된다. 이 경우에 가속변수는 훼손영상에 관계없이 영상전체에 일률적으로 적용되기 때문에 흐려짐 훼손이 심한 윤곽부분도 훼손이 작은 평면영역과 같이 일정하게 처리되어 수렴속도가 느려지고 시각적으로 중요한 윤곽부분의 복원에는 효율적이지 못하다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 흐려짐 훼손이 작은 평면영역은 가속변수를 작게 하고 훼손이 큰 윤곽영역은 가속변수를 크게 하여 영상의 국부적인 훼손특성에 따라 적응적으로 반복 복원하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 복원방법 은 기존의 방법과 비교하여 수렴속도가 빨라지고 시각적으로 중요한 윤곽부분의 복원에도 효율적임을 실험결과를 통해 알 수 있었으며, MSE면에서도 우수하였다.

  • 반도체 소자 면적의 축소에 따라 중성자의 소프트 에러율은 집적회로 설계시 큰 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 고전류 중성자 빔에 의한 가속 실험에서, 래치-업 현상은 소프트 에러 발생율의 정확한 예측을 방해하는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구는 SRAM 소자의 SER 가속 실험시 발생하는 래치-업에 대한 효과를 분석하였다. 2차원 소자 시뮬레이터를 이용한 시뮬레이션 환경하에서의 결과 깊은 p-well 구조의 기판이 이중 또는 삼중 well 구조에 비하여 양호한 래치-업 방지 효과를 나타내었다. 또한 접지에 대한 $V_{DD}$ 전력선까지의 거리를 최소화하는 것이 효과적인 설계 기법으로 평가되었다.

볼 베어링 손상 예측진단 방법 (Prognostic Technique for Ball Bearing Damage)

  • 볼 베어링의 손상 상태를 예측하기 위한 방법을 본 논문에서 제시하였다. 손상 진전율을 추정하기 위해 확률적 베어링 피로 결함 진전 모델을 적용하고 잡음이 포함된 가속도 신호의 RMS 데이터를 이용하여 손상 상태와 고장 시간을 계산하였다. 확률적 결함 진전 모델의 파라미터는 볼 베어링에 대한 일련의 Run-to-Failure 시험을 수행하여 결정하였다. 가속도 RMS값으로부터 손상 진전율과 손상 상태를 추정하기 위해 규칙화된 파티클 필터 추정 방법을 적용하였다. 미래 시점에서의 손상 상태는 최근 측정된 데이터와 직전에 추정된 상태값을 이용하여 예측하였다. 예측된 손상 상태와 시험 데이터와 비교하여 개발된 방법의 적절성을 확인하였다.

충돌회피를 위한 가속도를 고려한 차선 변경 시스템 개발 (Development of Lane Change System considering Acceleration for Collision Avoidance)

  • This paper presents the lane change system for collision avoidance. The proposed algorithm for the collision avoidance consists of path generation and path following. Using a calculated TTC (Time to Collision), partial braking is operated and collision avoidance path is generated considering relative distance, velocity and acceleration. Based on the collision avoidance path, desired yaw angle and yaw rate are calculated for the automated path following. The lateral controller is designed by a Lyapunov function approach using 3 D.O.F vehicle model and vehicle parameters. The required steering angle is determined from wheel velocity, longitudinal and lateral velocity in order to follow the desired yaw angle and yaw rate. This system is developed MATLAB/Simulink and its performance is evaluated using the commercial software CarSim.

IMPROVEMENT OF RIDE AND HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS USING MULTI-OBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES

  • In order to reduce the time and costs of improving the performance of vehicle suspensions, the techniques for optimizing damping and air spring characteristic were proposed. A full vehicle model for a bus is constructed with a car body, front and rear suspension linkages, air springs, dampers, tires, and a steering system. An air spring and a damper are modeled with nonlinear characteristics using experimental data and a curve fitting technique. The objective function for ride quality is WRMS (Weighted RMS) of the power spectral density of the vertical acceleration at the driver's seat, middle seat and rear seat. The objective function for handling performance is the RMS (Root Mean Squares) of the roll angle, roll rate, yaw rate, and lateral acceleration at the center of gravity of a body during a lane change. The design variables are determined by damping coefficients, damping exponents and curve fitting parameters of air spring characteristic curves. The Taguchi method is used in order to investigate sensitivity of design variables. Since ride and handling performances are mutually conflicting characteristics, the validity of the developed optimum design procedure is demonstrated by comparing the trends of ride and handling performance indices with respect to the ratio of weighting factors. The global criterion method is proposed to obtain the solution of multi-objective optimization problem.

양심탕(養心湯)이 스트레스와 면역기능(免疫機能)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Yangsimtang on Stress and Immune System)

  • After applying the gravity acceleration stress to a mice, the effect on organ index was examined, and the Con A stimulating proliferation rate of splenocytes, expression of IL-2 receptor and T cell subsets of thymocytes were analyzed and also clearance of C. neoformans was measured. The results were as follows :1. Form finding the organ index after 4 days stress, the indexes of the spleen and thymus were reduced in the res group exposed to the gravity acceleration.2. From finding the proliferation rate by stimulating the splenocytes with Con 4 after 7 days stress, the proliferation rates were all reduced in the stress group, the Yangsimtang group, and the stress and Yangsimtang group. 3. The expression of IL-2 receptor in resting stage was reduced, comparing to the test group, both in the stress group and the Yangsimtang group, however, comparing to the stress group, it was somewhat recovered in the stress and Yangsimtang group.4. To see the IL-2 receptor driven-out after being stimulated by Con-A, the expression of IL-2 receptor was all reduced in the stress group, the Yangsimtang group, and the stress and Yangsimtang group.5. To the rate of T cell subsets of thymus, there's no difference, comparing to the test group, in the Yangsimtang group, however, the rate of $CD4^+CD8^-,\;CD4^-CD8^+,\;and\;CD4^-CD8^-$ cell was significantly reduced in the stress group. And, the $CD4^+CD8^+$ which had been reduced by stress was somewhat recovered in the stress and Yangsimtang group.6. To the effect on the clearance of C, neoformans infection, the numbers of fungi detected at the spleen was, comparing to the test group, increased by 12.6 tines in the Yangsimtang group.
