Explicit reference to the work of other authors is an essential feature of most academic research writings. Corpus analysis of academic text can reveal much about what writers actually do and why they do so. Application of corpus tools in language education has been well documented by many scholars (Pedersen, 1995, Swales, 1990, Thompson, 2000). They demonstrate how computer technology can assist in the effective analysis of corpus based data. For teaching purposes, tills recent research provides insights in the areas of English for Academe Purposes (EAP). The need for such support is evident when students have to use appropriate citations in their writings. Using Swales' (1990) division of citation forms into integral and non-integral and Thompson and Tnbble's (2001) classification scheme, this paper codifies academic texts in a corpus. The texts are academic research articles from different disciplines. The results lead into a comparison of the citation practices m different disciplines. Finally, it is argued that the information obtained in this study is useful for EAP writing courses in EFL countries.

This research analyzed procedural problems presented in academic writing faced by international students. The result of this research will serve as a basis for suggesting methods of developing a curriculum in Korean writing as a liberal arts education designed for international students. To analyze problems presented in academic writing by international students, the standard of assessment was divided into interaction, knowledge construction, and material quotation. Then, knowledge construction was divided into contents, structure, and expression, and the items were subdivided in each category. These categories of assessment correspond to the genre of academic writing and are different from the existing standard of assessment for academic writing. Applying these standards, this research analyzed 43 texts of academic writing in process for a final paper by international students in an class and presented problems in them. Furthermore, this paper aims to give detailed feedback that can help solve those problems.

최근 국내에서 학술논문의 발표와 관련하여 발생되고 있는 표절시비는 학계 차원에서 나름대로 대처방안을 마련하고 있지만, 정부차원에서도 국제적 수준의 연구윤리를 확보하려는 문제로 다루어지기 시작하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 외 문헌을 통해 문헌정보학적 시각에서 학술논문을 작성하는데 있어서 인용과 표절에 대한 정의를 비롯한 기본적인 내용 등을 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과로서 다음과 같은 사항들을 세부적으로 조사 분석하여 정리하고 있다. 첫째 학술논문에 있어서 표절의 유형과 문제점 등을 다루고, 둘째, 학술논문 작성에 있어서의 인용 방식을 비교 분석하며, 셋째, 표절에 대한 대응 및 올바른 인용 방식 등을 제시하고 있다.

"East and West Medicine Research Society Monthly View" was published 7 times to revive and develope the Eastern medicine that was in downward trend with an "review the old and learn the new" attitude to unite the East and West medicine. This magazine was lead by the East and West Medicine Research Society and therefore an academic magazine. Its contents mostly consist of lecture type serials. This is because the purpose of the magazine was to reeducate physicians of the Chinese school or to educate the people who had purpose on medicine. The contents of "East and West Medicine Research Society Monthly View" has many serials on various subjects such as Eastern Medicine, Western Medicine, East and West Medicine, and SaSang medicine. Puting in articles about hygiene to put in many writings about living health shows the effort in trying to treat epidemics with Korean Medicine.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effects of an empathy education program for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The study employed a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A total of 46 nursing students were voluntarily recruited by convenience sampling from senior nursing students from the nursing department of K college in I city, Korea. Participants were divided into two groups, an experimental group of 23 and a control group of 23. The experimental intervention (empathy education program) was conducted from April 19 to May 6, 2016 and consisted of 150-minute sessions, twice a week, for 3 weeks for a total of 15 hours. Results: Participants demonstrated improvements in perspective taking in cognitive empathy, improved empathic concern in emotional empathy, and improved communicative empathy. Analysis of reflective writings identified four theme clusters regarding communicative empathy: improvement of empathic expression, experiencing comfort and healing, improvement of interpersonal relationships, and experience of conflict resolution. Improved interpersonal ability and caring were also identified. Conclusion: The empathy education program improved cognitive, emotional and communicative empathy, and interpersonal skills and care, which are all necessary qualities for nurses.

This research aims to evaluate the effects and the shortcomings of strategies for teaching paraphrasing to foreign university students. For this study, the effects of teaching paraphrasing skills on student's academic writing was investigated through the assessment of pre- and post-test writing tasks and through a focus group interview. The teaching of paraphrasing was divided into 3 instructional sessions and the focus group interview was conducted at the end of the last session. After each instructional session three trained assessors evaluated the outcomes of pre and post task writings; the in-depth focus group interviews were conducted on seven of the students in order to define better positive effects as well as shortcomings. By comparing the scores of pre- and post-task assignments it is possible to affirm that there is a meaningful difference for overall scores; moreover, in an analysis conducted on each single sub-element of the paraphrasing skill, it emerged that except for "task completion", all other four elements of "structure", "understanding core content", "change of expression" and "academic expressions" showed a statistically significant improvement in performance. On the other hand, as a result of the focus group interview, it was possible to individuate as main shortcomings insufficient vocabulary knowledge, poor overall comprehension of the reference material, lack of practice and difficulty in connect sentences organically. It is possible to consider these elements as limiting factors in understanding the reference material and making correct citations by the students. Therefore, we suggest as supplementary instructional strategies a deeper attention to the difficulty level of the text, the introduction of devices to understand better the content of the reference material and an integrated practice of the paraphrasing skill.

본 연구는 대학교수의 생애사를 고찰하여 대학교수에 대한 삶의 의미를 살펴봄으로써 유아기나 아동기 진로교육을 담당하는 부모나 교사들에게 진로정보를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 25년간의 교수경력을 가진 K교수를 대상으로 교수 자신의 목소리와 용어로 묘사하는 내부자적인 관점으로 생애사 연구방법으로 수행하였으며, K교수의 심층면담, 저서, 이메일, 전화면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 전사하여 컴퓨터로 폴더화하고 영역분석과 분류분석 단계를 거쳐 분석되었다. 분석 결과, K교수가 교수사회에 진입하게 된 동기와 계기에서는 피나는 노력과 가족의 지지, 수어지교의 만남이 있었던 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대학 진입이후에는 연구, 교육뿐만 아니라 보직교수로서 대학에서 핵심적 역할을 담당하였다. 정년 이후의 삶은 전문가와 실천가로서 사회공헌에 기여하고 있었다. 이와 같은 K교수의' 경험에서 교수역량에는 '끊임없는 노력과 부단한 자기혁신', '강인한 신념과 뚜렷한 소명의식', '따뜻한 인간애와 실천적 삶', '유연한 사고방식과 교육적 열정' 라는 의미가 도출되었다.

This article looks back and also looks forward at the values aspect of school mathematics teaching and learning. Looking back, it draws on existing academic knowledge to explain why the values construct has been regarded in recent writings as a conative variable, that is, associated with willingness and motivation. The discussion highlights the tripartite model of the human mind which was first conceptualised in the eighteenth century, emphasising the intertwined and mutually enabling processes of cognition, affect, and conation. The article also discusses what we already know about the nature of values, which suggests that values are both consistent and malleable. The trend in mathematics educational research into values over the last three decades or so is outlined. These allow for an updated definition of values in mathematics education to be offered in this article. Considering the categories of values that might be found in mathematics classrooms, an argument is also made for more attention to be paid to general educational values. After all, the potential of the values construct in mathematics education research extends beyond student understanding of and performance in mathematics, to realising an ethical mathematics education which is important for thriveability in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Looking ahead, then, this article outlines a 4-step values development approach for implementation in the classroom, involving Justifying, Essaying, Declaring, and Identifying. With an acronym of JEDI, this novel approach has been informed by the theories of 'saying is believing', self-persuasion, insufficient justification, and abstract construals.

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 인용 및 표절에 관한 인식을 알아보기 위함이다. 이의 목적을 수행하기 위하여 서울 소재 4년제 대학생을 대상으로 질문지 조사법을 실시하였다. 조사 결과 대학생들은 인용 교육의 필요성과 중요성은 인식하고 있었고 과제 작성 시 인용법을 일부 적용하고 있었다. 그러나 실제 인용 관련 문제를 통해 대학생들의 인용 지식을 조사해 본 결과, 올바른 인용법을 알고 있는 대학생들은 극소수로 나타났다. 인용하는 자료로는 인쇄자료와 인터넷 및 웹자료를 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 인쇄자료인 경우 단행본을, 인터넷 및 웹 자료인 경우 학술기관에서 제공하는 웹자료를 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 인용 교육 기관으로는 대학 당국에서 인용 및 표절 프로그램을 개설하여 교육시킬 것을 제안하였다. 대학 당국에서의 인용 및 표절 프로그램 개설뿐만 아니라 도서관 이용 교육을 통해서도 인용 및 표절, 인용법에 관한 교육을 실시해야 할 필요가 있다.

동양의학에서 "상한론(傷寒論)"의 발전은 대체로 삼단계(三段階)의 과정을 거쳤으나 "삼강정립(三綱鼎立)"설이 대세를 이루고 있었다. 이러한 관점에 대항하여 변증논치규율(辯證論治規律)을 연구한 학파(學派)가 나타나게 되었는데 우이(尤怡)가 그 중 한사람이다. 우이(尤怡)의 생애(生涯), 저서(著書), 학술사상(學術思想) 및 후세에 미친 영향 등을 조사하고 특히 "상한론(傷寒論)"을 안법류증(按法類?)하여 육경(六經)에 따른 정치법(正治法) 권변법(權變法) 알선법(斡旋法) 구역법(救逆法) 유병법(類病法) 명변법(明辨法) 잡치법(雜治法) 등의 치법(治法)에 대하여 연구하여 보고하는 바이다.
