Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify predictors of suicidal attempts in adolescents over 5 years after school dropout. Methods: The data of the Panel Survey of School Dropouts (of 2013 to 2017) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The analysis used the 2013 survey data as the baseline and examined suicidal attempts from 2013 to 2017. A total of 776 adolescents were included in the analysis. Descriptive statistics, 𝝌2 test, t-test, and multiple logistic regression were carried out using SAS 9.2. Results: About 11% (87 out of 776) of the adolescents with an experience of dropout attempted suicide between 2013 and 2017. The risk of suicidal attempts was significantly lower in female (AOR: 0.57, 95% CI: 0.87~0.93) than in male adolescents. The higher the self-esteem, the lower the risk of suicidal attempts (AOR: 0.87. 95% CI: 0.78~0.97). The higher the depression level (AOR: 1.10, 95% CI: 1.05~1.16) and the rate of parental abuse (AOR: 1.09, 95% CI: 1.02~1.18), the higher the risk of suicidal attempts. Conclusion: The findings of the study suggest that those who are male, depressed, have low self-esteem or have been abused by their parents are at high risk of suicidal attempts among the adolescents with dropout experiences. Therefore, early intervention is necessary for those at high risk.
Purpose: This study was to explore health experiences of victims of sexual violence reflected in Newman's health as expanding consciousness theory. Method: Nurse as researcher use Newman's praxis methodology because it is good for showing the process of interaction between researcher and sexual abuse victims. Results: The significant characteristics of early health experiences during negative situations were a lot of suffering. However, after a turning point in health experience, the health experiences of most of the participants evolved as expanding consciousness. Conclusion: The study has provided support for Newman's theory of health. Most of the participants recognised meanings in their patterns and trustful caring relationships with the nurse as researcher. Pattern recognition as a nursing practice was a meaningful transforming process in the participant-nurse partnership.

As a Delphi panel, a total of 28 people with at least three years of experience in the area of oriental medicine consisted of this. Results: The experts suggested that Yangsaeng, lectures on prevention of CVA, correct understanding of the misuse/abuse of oriental medicine, daily health care, meridian/acupoints massage, and Kigong therapy should be included in the promoting oriental health nursing servies. Conclusion: The agreed opinions by the experts on the oriental health promotion services and nursing, can help enhance the understanding of oriental health promotion. The curriculum should be developed further and tested with the development of the Korean oriental nursing intervention methods which is appropriate to Korean culture.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine risk factors for sexual behaviors in Korean female high school students. Methods: Data was collected by a written questionnaire from June 22 to July 18, 2002 from 522 girls, who were stratified samples from a target population of 63,375 11th grade students from 200 regular high schools and 70 vocational high schools in Seoul, Korea. We conducted multiple regression analysis using the SAS pc+ program. Results: Risk factors for intimate behaviors were association with boy friends, differential association, family attachment, and family abuse experience. These variables cause 68% of intimate behaviors. Risk factors for sexual experiences were differential association, association with boy friend, and family attachment. These variables cause 14% of sexual experiences. Conclusion: Efforts to reduce sexual behaviors in girls should include the possible role of peers and develop peer leader programs.
Disorder of Extreme Stress, Not Otherwise Specified (DESNOS) is the proposed diagnosis that meets the severe, complex, and prolonged psychological sequela of victims with chronic traumatization (e.g., family violence, incest, and childhood sexual or physical abuse). The hallmarks of DESNOS are a multiplicity of symptoms (e.g., somatization, dissociation, and depression), pathological changes in relationships, identity disturbances, and a propensity to experience repeated harm and injury at the hands of oneself and others. DESNOS can be directly assessed by Structured Interview of Disorder of Extreme Stress (SIDES) and Self- Report Inventory of Disorder of Extreme Stress (SIDES-SR). The treatment of DESNOS should be phaseoriented and involve movement back and forth among three basic stages : 1) stabilization ; 2) trauma processing ; 3) reintegration.

The reasons for such assault were abuse by the victim, discontent at home & school and for amusement with friends without any reason. 2. With respect to the status of damage by violence most cases took place within the school which is considered to be safe for students. Violence such as slander, abuse, violence language, disregarding or excluding took place the most at school and in case of the assaulter it was a college student or a student in the senior grad. 3. As for measure to prevent violence identified by the students, the need to provide space for youth leisure activity was listed as important along with the need for guidance for the future which took into account suitability related to the student's ability and the need to get rid of education mainly for entrance exams. Endeavors to prevent violence must be persistent in all aspect, so that such inhuman like violence will not appear and the negative elements raised by youth will be solved one by one.

This dissertation analyzed the satisfaction of corrective counseling programs for Korean domestic violence offenders. I conducted a survey of Korean domestic violence offenders scattered throughout the country. The survey period was between Mar Feb. 20, 2006 and Apr. 29, 2006. The specific objects of the survey are the 250 domestic violence offenders who got counseling in the Goyang branch office of the Justice Ministry-affiliated Uijeongbu Probation & Parole Center, Ansan Citizen Welfare Society's domestic violence counseling center, Korea Domestic Violence Counseling Center Association, Korea Women's Hot Line, Korea Family Law Counseling Center and its branch offices throughout the country, and the counseling centers commissioned by the court for domestic violence offenders. The study was based on a poll on 182 of the 250 offenders. The research result includes: First, the satisfaction of corrective counseling programs for offenders varies depending upon the age, educational background, location, job, income, and childhood abuse of offenders. In particular, the less experience of childhood abuse leads to greater effect of education. Second, of the types of corrective counseling programs for offenders, the satisfaction for those in couple counseling is the greatest. This is because couple counseling is more influential than individual in the professional education that helps to share and understand couple problems.
To validate the effects of students' individual factor, school organizational factor, and teacher factor on violent behavior toward peers in school, this study applied Hierarchical Linear Modeling and analyzed it using the HLM 7 program. To this end, it used survey data of students from 50 middle schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. A total of 1,777 cases from 50 middle schools were used for individual student-level analysis (Level 1), and used for school-level analysis (Level-2). According to the results of the analysis, student-level variables such as attitude toward violence, experience of child abuse at home, and delinquent peers had significant effects on school violence. The effects of violent discipline by teacher, which are used as a school-level variable, was statistically significant. Based on the result of the study, action plans and policies to resolve school violence were discussed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the validity of adolescent's status offenses model based on general strain theory. To perform this research, a survey was conducted to adolescents of mixed gender from middle and high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, who were 9th to 11th grade students. A total of 1167 cases were collected, and without 27 inappropriate cases, 1140 cases were used for the analysis. A structural equation model was applied to the child abuse experience with depression mediator and the adolescents status offense, and the calculation of model fit index reached to .986(TLI), .994(CFI), and .032(RMSEA). The result of Aroian test on the effectiveness of depression as a mediator demonstrates that depression has a prominent effect as a mediator to the model. However, the self control of an adolescent, which were presented in this research as a primary moderating variable, did not display any salient effect on the course of a depression developing to the level of status offense.
