SHS법을 이용한 복합분말(Al2O3-SiC) 제조시 TiO2첨가의 영향 (The effect of the addition of TiO2 in the preparation of (Al2O3-SiC)- SiC composite powder by SHS Process)

  • $Al_2O_3-SiC$ and $Al_2O_3-SiC$-TiC composite powders were prepared by SHS process using $SiO_2,\;TiO_2$, Al and C as raw materials. Aluminum powder was used as reducing agent of $SiO_2,\;TiO_2$ and activated charcoal was used as carbon source. In the preparations of $Al_2O_3-SiC$, the effect of the molar ratio in raw materials, compaction pressure, preheating temperature and atmosphere were investigated. The most important variable affecting the synthesis of $Al_2O_3-SiC$ was the molar ratio of carbon. Unreactants remained in the product among all conditions without compaction. The optimum condition in this reaction was $SiO_2$: Al: C=3: 5: 5.5, 80MPa compaction pressure under Preheating of $400^{\circ}C$ with Ar atmosphere. However there remains cabon in the optimum condition. The effect of $TiO_2$ as additive was investigated in the preparations of $Al_2O_3-SiC$. As a result of $TiO_2$ addition, $Al_2O_3-SiC$-TiC composite powder was prepared. The $Al_2O_3$ powder showed an angular type with 8 to $15{\mu}m$, and the particle size of SiC powder were 5~$10{\mu}m$ and TiC powder were 2 to $5{\mu}m$.

반응밀링법으로 제조한 TiC-NirP 서멧분말제조 및 소결성형체의 미세조직 (Synthesis of TiC-Ni Based Cermet Powders and Microstructures of Sintered Compacts Prepared by Reaction Milling)

  • The pure Ti, Ni and carbon powders were reaction milled to synthesize the TiC-Ni based cermet powders with ultrafine microstructures. After milling, the ultrafine TiC or amorphous Ti-Ni phase was obtained, respectively, according to the milling condition. The effects of milling variables on the synthesizing behavior of the powders were investigated in detail. The sintered TiC-Ni based cermet of the reaction milled powders consisted of very fine TiC of 0.2~1.5$\mu$m, as compared with that of a commercial cermet of 3~5$\mu$m. This demonstrates the potenial of reaction milling as an effective processing route for the preparation of cermet materials.

텅스텐(W) 원료에 따른 WO3/TiO2 SCR 촉매의 제조 및 촉매능 (Synthesis of WO3/TiO2 catalysts from different tungsten precursors and their catalytic performances in the SCR)

  • Anatase $TiO_2$에 각기 다른 텅스텐(W) 함유원료와 제조방법을 적용하여 $WO_3$ 촉매가 첨가된 SCR(selective catalytic reduction)용 분말을 합성하였으며, W 촉매 첨가가 합성분말의 상합성 및 SCR 촉매능에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 촉매의 지지체인 $TiO_2$는 침전법으로 anatase 상으로 합성되었으며, anatase에서 고온상인 rutile로의 상전이 온도는 $1200^{\circ}C$였으나, $WO_3$를 10 wt% 첨가할 경우 이 상전이 온도는 $900^{\circ}C$로 낮아졌다. 건식으로 $WO_3$ 분말을 직접 첨가하여 $WO_3(10wt%)/TiO_2$를 제조한 경우 $350^{\circ}C$에서 $NO_X$ 제거 촉매능이 최고점에 이르나 온도증가에 따라 그 효율이 상당히 감소하였다. 암모늄-메타-텅스테이트를 습식으로 첨가하여 제조한 경우, 보다 고온인 $450^{\circ}C$에서 촉매능이 최고점에 이르렀으며 온도에 따른 효율감소 폭도 적었다. 이와 같은 경향은 $WO_3$$V_2O_5$를 동시 첨가하여 제조한 $V_2O_5(5wt%)-WO_3(10wt%)/TiO_2$ 촉매에서도 나타났다. 즉, 암모늄-메타-텅스테이트를 습식으로 첨가한 경우, $WO_3$를 직접 첨가한 경우에 비해 넓은 온도범위($300^{\circ}C{\sim}500^{\circ}C$)에 걸쳐 90 %에 이상의 우수한 $NO_X$ 변환효율을 보였다.

  • BaTiO$_3$cerameic thin films doped with Mn were manufactured by rf/dc magnetron sputter technique. We have investigated crystal structure, surface morphology and PRCR(positive-temperature coefficient of resistance) characteristics of the specimen depending on second heat-treatment temperature. Second heat treatment of the specimen were performed in the temperature range of 400 to 1350$\^{C}$ X-ray diffraction patterns of BaTiO$_3$ thin films show that the specimen heat treated below 600$\^{C}$ is an amorphous phase and the one heat treated above 1100$\^{C}$ forms a poly-crystallization . In this specimen heat-treated at 1300$\^{C}$, a lattice constant ratio(c/a) was 1.188. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) image of BaTiO$_3$ thin films of the specimen heat treated in between 900 and 1100$\^{C}$ shows a grain growth. At 1100$\^{C}$, the specimen stops grain-growing and becomes a poly-crystallization . A resistivity-temperature characteristics of the specimen depends on the doping concentrations of Mn. A resistivity ratio between the value at room temperature and the one above Curie temperature was 10$^4$ for pure BaTiO$_3$ thin films and 10$\^$5/ fo BaTiO$_3$ : additive 0.127mol% MnO

  • The aim of this research is to evaluate the wear properties of (TiB+TiC) paticulate reinforced titanium matrix composites (TMCs) by in-situ synthesis. Different particle sizes (1500, $150{\mu}m$) and contents (0.94, 1.88 and 3.76 mass% for Ti, 1.98 and 3.96 mass% for the Ti6Al4V alloy) of boron carbide were added to pure titanium and to a Ti6Al4V alloy matrix during vacuum induction melting to provide 5, 10 and 20 vol.% (TiB+TiC) particulate reinforcement amounts. The wear behavior of the (TiB+TiC) particulate reinforced TMCs is described in detail with regard to the coefficient of friction, the hardness, and the degree of reinforcement fragmentation during sliding wear. The worn surfaces of each sliding wear condition are shown for the three types of wear studied here: transfer layer wear, particle cohesion wear and the development of abrasive areas. The fine reinforcements of TMCs were easily fragmented from the Ti matrix as compared to coarse reinforcements, and fragmented debris accelerated the decrease in the wear resistance.

기계적 합금화한 Al-Ti 시료에서 미소상 피이크의 소멸현상과 ${Al_3}Ti$ 형성에 관한 연구 (The Study on Peak Disappearance of Minor Phase and Formation of ${Al_3}Ti$ in Mechanically Alloyed Al-Ti Samples)

  • The refining process and solubility of Ti in Al matrix during mechanical alloying (MA) were investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) as functions of alloy composition, milling time and ball to powder ratio (BPR). Mechanical alloyed samples were annealed for investigating their stability and the formation behavior of$Al_3Ti$in the temperature range from$200{\circ}C$to$600{\circ}C$. It is observed from present experimental that disappearance of Ti peaks in mechanically alloyed Al-10wt%Ti is not simply attributable to the dissolution of Ti into Al, but associated mainly with extreme refining and/or heavy straining of Ti particles The annealing of the mechanically alloyed Al-Ti powders show differences in aluminide formation behavior when Ti content in Al is equal to or less than l0wt% and higher than l5wt%Ti. When Ti-content in Al is equal to or less than l0wt%, the MA powders transform directly to a global equilibrium state forming $DO_{22}- type\;Al_3$Ti above$400{\circ}C$. In the Al-Ti samples with equal to or higher than l5wt%Ti, transitional phases of cubic$Al_3Ti$and tetragonal $Al_{24}Ti_8$ are formed above$400{\circ}C$. They are stable only below$500{\circ}C$, and, $DO_{22}-type\;Al_3Ti$ becomes dominant aluminide at temperature higher than$ 600{\circ}C$.

SiC-$TiB_2$ 전도성(電導性) 복합체(複合體)의 특성(特性)에 미치는 가압(加壓)의 영향(影響) (Effect of Pressure on Properties of the SiC-$TiB_2$ Electroconductive Ceramic Composites)

  • The composites were fabricated 61[vol.%] ${\beta}$-SiC and 39[vol.%] $TiB_2$ powders with the liquid forming additives of 12[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ as a sintering aid by pressure or pressureless annealing at 1,650[$^{\circ}C$] for 4 hours. Reactions between SiC and transition metal $TiB_2$ were not observed in the microstructure and the phase analysis of the SiC-$TiB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites. Phase analysis of SiC-$TiB_2$ composites by XRD revealed mostly of ${\alpha}$-SiC(6H), $TiB_2$, and In Situ $YAG(Al_5Y_3O_{12})$. The relative density, the flexural strength and the Young's modulus showed the highest value of 88.32[%], 136.43[MPa] and 52.82[GPa] for pressure annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ composites at room temperature. The electrical resistivity showed the lowest value of 0.0162[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$] for pressure annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ composite at 25[$^{\circ}C$]. The electrical resistivity of the pressure annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ composite was positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR) but the electrical resistivity of the pressureless annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ composites was negative temperature coefficient resistance(NTCR) in the temperature ranges from 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 700[$^{\circ}C$].

Titanic acid로부터 Anatase형 $TiO_2$의 형성에 관한 연구 (Formation of Anatawe type TiO2 from Titanic acid)

  • 일정농도의 $TiO_2$ 수용액과 일정농도의 KOH 수용액을 반응시켜 $TiO_2$의 가수분해에 의한 Titanium Oxide의 생성 및 생성물의 열처리 조건에 따른 거동을 연구하였다. 열처리 조건은 300~1000$1000^{\circ}C$에서 각각 1시간으로 하였고 각 조건에서 얻어진 생성물의 분석은 XRD, DTA 및 FT-IR에 의하여 연구 검토되었으며 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. \circled1 $90^{\circ}C$의 온도조건에서 초기 가수분해 반응 생성물은 Anatase형 TiO2의 주 peak가 회절각도의 폭이 넓고 강도가 약하게 나타나 준결정질 물질임을 나타내고 있다. \circled2 결정질이 좋지 못한 준정질 산화티탄은 $300^{\circ}C$까지는 Anatase 결정성이 온도와 더불어 좋아지며 $700^{\circ}C$에서 rutile형 TiO2로 상전이 한다. \circled3 alkali pH 영역에서 생성된 K-O-Ti 결합을 형성한 비 결정성 물질은 potasium titanate계의 물질로써 결정화 온도는 630~$640^{\circ}C$ 부근이다. \circled4 비 결정성 K-O-Ti 결합이 공존하는 준결정성 산화티탄은 K-O-Ti 결합물질의 함량이 증가됨에 따라 Anatase로의 결정화 온도가 $300^{\circ}C$에서 50$0^{\circ}C$로 높아지며 또한 rutile형 $TiO_2$로의 상이전도 $700^{\circ}C$에서 $900^{\circ}C$로 높아진다. \circled5 $TiO_4$와 KOH를 사용한 습식법에 의한 Anatase형 $TiO_2$합성조건은 pH 3~pH 5가 가장 바람직하며 열처리 온도는 $300^{\circ}C$에서 가능하다.

CaTi$O_3$에서 양이온 비화학양론 (Cation Nonstoichiometry in CaTi$O_3$)

  • 과잉의 CaO와 $TiO_2$를 각각 포함한 $CaTiO_3$의 결함구조를 평형상태의 전기전도도를 $85O^{\circ}C$$1050^{\circ}C$사이에서 산소분압의 함수로 측정하여 연구하였다. 과잉의 CaO는 A site와 B site에 나누어져서 용해되어 $Ca_{Ti}$"와 Vo", 결함을 생성하였으며, 과잉의 $TiO_2$$V_{Ca}$"과 Vo"을 생성했다. 평형상태의 전기전도도는 CaO 용해도 5000ppm과 $TiO_2$ 용해도 2000ppm을 각각 나타냈다. 과잉의 양이온에 의하여 생성된 산소공공은 이온전도를 하여 넓은 영역의 산소 분압에 무관한 전도도 최소값을 보였으며, 반대로 대전된 음이온 결함과 결함쌍은 관찰되지 않았다.온 결함과 결함쌍은 관찰되지 않았다.

  • PbTiO3 thin films were fabricated onto MgO(100) single crystal substrate by reactive D. C magnetron sput-tering of Pb and Ti metal in an oxygen and argon gas mixture. The annealing of the thin films resulted in the decrease of both the c-axis orientation ratio and the lattice parameter. It is well known that the c-axis lattice parameter of thin film is dependent on the Pb/(Pb+Ti)ratio and the residual stress in the film The PbTiO3 thin films with a Pb/(Pb+T) ratio ranging from 0.45 to 0.57 were fabricated and annealed. The structure of the film the c-axis orientation ratio and the lattice parameter were not dependent on the Pb/(Pb+Ti) ratio before and after annealing. These experimental results proved that the decrease of the c-axis lattice parameter under the annealing conditions was due to the relaxation of the intrinsic stress in the film. This relaxation of the intrinsic stress caused the decrease of the c-axis orientation ratio and this phenomenon can be explained by c-axis growth lattice model.
