  • 산업용 기기 및 가정용 기기 분야에서 서보 전동기 이용의 급부상으로 인하여 PMSM의 센서리스 제어에 대한 연구가 활발히 연구되고 있다. 센서리스 제어시 그 기초가 되는 것은 역기전력 항이다. 일반적인 센서리스 제어는 역기전력을 추정하고 그 역기전력을 적분하는 형태를 취하여 회전자의 위치를 추정하고 있다. 이 방식에서 두 좌표축의 역기전력 항을 구하기 위해서는 역기전력의 크기와 회전자 위치가 서로 직접적으로 연관되어 있어 두 파라미터를 동시에 정확하게 추정하기는 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PMSM의 구동을 위해 필수적인 회전자의 위치 각을 역기전력의 크기의 변수를 사용하지 않는 정규화한 역기전력 항으로 구하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • PMSMS (permanent magnet synchronous motors) are widely used in industrial applications and home appliances because of their high torque to inertia ratio, superior power density, and high efficiency. For high performance control, accurate informations about the rotor position is essential. Sensorless algorithms have lately been studied extensively due to the high cost of position sensors and their low reliability in harsh environments. A novel position sensorless speed control for PMSMs uses indirect flux estimation and is presented in this paper. Rotor position and angular velocity are estimated by the proposed indirect flux estimation. Linkage flux and magnetic field flux are calculated by the voltage equations and the measured phase current without any integration. Instead of linkage flux calculation with integral operation, indirect flux and differential magnetic field are used for the estimation of rotor position. A proper rejection technique fur current noise effect in the calculation of differential linkage flux is introduced. The proposed indirect flux detecting method is free from the integral rounding error and linkage flux drift problem, because differential linkage flux can be calculated without any integral operation. Furthermore, electrical parameters of the PMSM can be measured by the proposed TCM (time compression method) for soft starting and precise estimation of rotor position. The position estimator uses accurate electrical parameters that are obtained from the proposed TCM at starting strategy. In the operating region, a proper compensation method fur temperature effect can compensate fir the estimation error from the variation of electrical parameters. The proposed novel position sensorless speed control scheme is verified by the experimental results.

  • With increase of servo motor In industrial and home application, a number of papers related to PMSM control have been researched. Among them, sensorless control schemes are especially concerned in the view point of its cost reduction. In the conventional approach, a rotor position is generally estimated by the integration of estimated rotor speed. In this method, because of their tight relationship between the amplitude of back-emf and rotor position. it is somewhat difficult to find two parameters at the same time. To solve this problem, a novel sensorless control scheme is proposed. It utilizes a back-emf normalization, so it does not requires the variables related with the amplitude of back-emf. The validity of the proposed control scheme was verified through experimental results.

  • 본 논문은 직류측 센서만을 갖는 3상 PWM 정류기의 새로운 제어기법을 제안한다. 제어가 내부의 모텔전류와 시스템 전류의 편차를 영으로 제어하여 상전압의 크기와 위상을 추정하고 스위칭 상태와 직류링크전류로부터 상전류를 재구성한다. 제안한 상전압 빛 상전류 센서리스 기법을 PWM 정류기 시스템에 적용한 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

Sensorless Estimation of Single-Phase Hybrid SRM using Back-EMF

  • This paper presents a novel scheme to estimate the rotor position of a single-phase hybrid switched reluctance motor (HSRM). The back-EMF generated by the permanent magnet (PM) field whose performance is motor parameter independent is adopted as an index to achieve the sensorless control. The differential value of back-EMF is calculated by hardware and processed by DSP to capture a fixed rotor position four times for every mechanical cycle. In addition, to accomplish the normal starting of HSRM, the determination method of the turn-off time position at the first electrical cycle is also proposed. In this way, a sensorless operation scheme with adjustable turn on/off angle can be achieved without substantial computation. The experimental verification using a prototype drive system is provided to demonstrate the viability of the proposed position estimation scheme.

The proposed method utilizes beneficially permanent magnet field whose performance is motor parameter independent to estimate the rotor position. Also, the current slope is adopted to complete the sensorless control when the motor running with heavy torque at high speed condition. Through this approach, the adjustable turn on/off position can be achieved without prior knowledge of inductance profile which is always employed by many sensorless schemes. And this paper may offer an available method to do the sensorless control in hybrid SRM used for high speed running.

  • A sensorless control strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motors is presented in this paper. A speed control scheme based on the measurement and observation of stator current, voltage. and flux vector is proposed. Two phase voltages and two stator currents are measured and processed in discrete form in DSP. The rotor position and speed are estimated through the stator flux and its derivative estimation. Flux and its derivative are calculated in the stationary reference frame and used to estimate the speed and position. The rotor position angle is then used in a microcontroller to produce the appropriate stator current command signals for the hysteresis current controller of the inverter. The closed-loop speed control has been shown to be effective from standstill to rated speed. Moreover, a flux drift problem caused by the integration can be eliminated so that a stable sensorless starting and running operation can be achieved. Computer simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Analysis and Improvement of Low-Frequency Control of Speed-Sensorless AC Drive Fed by Three-Level Inverter

  • In induction machine drive without a speed sensor, the estimation of the motor flux and speed often becomes deteriorated at low speeds with low back EMF. Our analysis shows that, in addition to the state resistance variation, the estimated value of field orientation angle is often corrupted by accumulative errors from the integration of voltage variables at motor terminals that have low signal/noise ratio at low frequencies. A repetitive loop path of integration in the feedback can amplify this type of error, thus speeding up the degradation process. The control system runs into information starvation due to the loss of correct field orientation. The machine's spiral vectors are controlled only in a reduced dimension in this situation. A novel control scheme is developed to improve the control performance of motor's current, torque and speed at low frequencies. The scheme gains a full-dimensional vector control and is less sensitive to the combined effect of the error sources at the low frequencies. Experimental tests demonstrate promising performances are achievable even below 0.5 Hz.
