포스트구조주의적 분석을 이용한 간호와 보건의료의 역사에 대한 재해석의 한 시도 (An Attempt of Reinterprtation on History of Nursing and Health Care Using Post-structural Method)

  • The purpose of this study is to reinterpretate the history of nursing and health care from the view-point of post-structuralism. It has been emphasized that the development of modern health care has been due to the progressive efforts of medicine and to medical discoveries. Medicine has dominated the history of health care rather than nursing or other health professions. The present study adopts the post-structural method by Foucault, which tries to unite language and knowledge. Foucault examines "the institutionalization of knowledge and the power exerted thereby, with special reference to the devices of social regulation and their function over the madness, the disease, the crime, and the sexuality. " The concept of power in Foucault's writing is that it is exerted spontaneously in verbal behaviors of individuals through knowledge of everyday life such as definition of body or mind, sexuality and relationship of family. Therefore as to the problem of power, this study tries to understand the meaning of the health care history through an analysis of the formation of medical discourse. In order to have authority in a power relation, the medical professional asserts that medical discourse is the most scientific knowledge. The authority of medical professionals can be reinforced by the fact that male medical professionals outnumber female. Devaluation of nursing care is reinforced by the medicine which has the legitimate authority through use of the political skills.

리안(李安)영화와 '여성' 재현의 정치 (Ang Lee Film and Politics of Representing 'Women')

  • 논문은 리안(李安)영화가 진행하는 여성 재현(응시)의식을 살펴보고자 한다. 미국 사회에서 활동하고 있는 리안의 문화적 정체성에 주목하며, 때로는 주류가 아닌 주변인으로 위축되고 억눌려졌던 자신의 불안한 위치와 정체성을 여성과 동일시했다고 하는 감독의 영화의식 속에서 '여성'을 들여다보고자 한다. 논문은 서양사회에서 대만인 디아스포라 동양 남성 감독 리안이 영화에서 '여성'을 어떻게 재현하고 있는지, 동양 남성으로서 가부장제 남성 의식을 내면화하고 있는 그가 '여성'에 대해 어떤 응시를 진행하는지 주변인(이방인)으로서 중심을 어떻게 해체하고 있는지 그의 방식을 살펴보고자 한다. 리안 영화는 여성들이 국가권력에 의해 구국의식 안으로 포획되고 있는 지점을 연출하고 있다. 국가는 그녀들에게 구국이라는 대의의 책무와 책임을 강제하고, 이런 국가에 그녀들은 때로 균열을 진행한다. 식민 조국의 해방에 적극 동참하지만 그 속에서 국가가 보여주는 기만성을 폭로하고, 또 생명을 조작하며 안보 강화만을 주장하는 국가의식의 허위성을 폭로한다. 또 그의 영화는 동 서양의 부권(父權)과 부권(夫權)을 해체하기도 한다. 감독은 중국 여성의 신체가 식민자 앞에서 발가벗겨져 전시되고 구국이라는 이름으로 강제되는지 주목한다. 그녀들의 신체는 가부장제 이데올로기에 억눌려 이상 징후를 보이거나 아들을 낳는 생산의 도구로 강요되고, 중화 전통 문화 아래 감정의 표출을 억압당하며 절제된 감정의 신체로 표상되고 있다.

  • 여성 간 로맨스를 다룬 GL(Girls' Love)은 서브컬쳐 시장에서 규모가 작고, 마이너한 문화로 여겨진다. 그럼에도 불구하고 최근 '페미니즘 리부트' 속에서 여성이 주인공으로 등장하는 서사에 대한 목소리가 높아지고, 자연스레 GL에 대한 관심도 증가하고 있다. '탈BL'을 선언한 사람들이 남성 캐릭터 대신 여성 캐릭터가 등장하는 GL을 소비해야 한다고 권장하는 것이다. 여성창작자가 여성의 이야기를 쓰는 여성 서사를 소비하고, 이를 통해 여성 서사의 범위를 확장시켜야 한다고 주장하는 분위기 속에서 '2018 우리만화상'을 수상한 웹툰 <그녀의 심청>은 신화 다시 쓰기를 통해 여성 서사의 가능성을 탐색한다. 효녀, 열녀 등 여성에게 주어진 젠더 규범은 <그녀의 심청>에서 모두 새로운 이름을 얻는다. 착한 딸은 거짓말과 도둑질을 일삼고, 현숙한 부인에게는 사랑하는 여자가 있다. 심청 외에도 뺑덕어미나 장승상 부인, 장승상의 며느리까지 여성인물들의 사연에 집중함으로써 남성이 지배하는 사회에서 생존하기 위한 여성들 사이의 연대를 강조하기도 한다. 이 과정에서 여성들 사이의 연대는 자연스레 GL적 상상력으로 이어진다. <그녀의 심청>은 여성 사이의 키스나 포옹 등 직접적인 신체 접촉을 아름다운 일러스트로 표현하며, 남자 없는 세계의 여성 간 로맨스를 보여준다. 여성들 사이의 연대가 종종 '위험하지 않은' 우정이나 소녀적 감수성으로 여겨지는 것과 달리, <그녀의 심청>의 여성 간 로맨스는 여성 거래의 문화적 규칙을 깨는 여성 성장 서사다. 이를 통해 헤게모니적 남성성을 중심으로 여성을 거래해온 공모적 남성 연대의 모순이 드러난다. 이처럼 GL 서사는 로맨스가 불가능한 시대의 서브컬쳐적 대안으로 부상하고 있다.

  • Women's health is directly related to economic and developmental level of their nations, and it is very much effected by socio-cultural factors which are related to gender discrimination. women's health needs have been oppressed and neglected in male-dominated society. For maintenance and promotion in women's health and improve of quality of life, the common idea of gender discrimination in our society and preference of having son rather than daughter from its certain from must be banished. Though the common idea of gender discrimination was a basic ideology in liberation of women, recently the aspect of difference rather than discrimination is an important matter and unique characteristics of women are strongly pointed and additionally harmonic living with men is getting to be a man idea in women's health. The social idea in gender discrimination was from christian culture in the western society and confucianism related the social norms of "Namzonyobe" (means men are honorable and women are low), "Samzongzido" (means women ought to obey certain three rules for the family), "Chilgeziak" (means seven wickedness of housewife) in this country, korea. Those ideas deprived women's ability in health management and in the decision making process for their health. Because of those cultural influences, still many pregnant women are experiencing artificial abortion when they know the fetus is a girl through ultrasound and amniocentesis. Nowadays there are many health problems of women in korea. The reasons are that Korea culture has complicatedly mixing with confucianism and western culture. Under the these cultural influences, change in value of beauty and trend of liberation in sexuality have brought out health problems, alcohol, smoking, and drug abuse in young women. In order to solve the women's health problem, first of all women have to come out of the passive manner of dependency on man. Also they should have the insight and the management and/or intervention ability of caring their health. It can be obtained through the family-society-nation wide approach as well as the approach for women themselves.

  • Modern Chinese Literature, the so-called 'feminist' is a very modern and the traditional criticism and took an important position in the double action. Because a woman's freedom from the bondage of traditional ethics of restoring the social status equal to men but to women does not give, that compared to men and women just the dimension of the problem of isolation is not just. It is dominated by yugajeok worldview by streamlining the whole Chinese society to build a modern society and the country was a critical task. However, multi-cultural life of Lin, Hui-yin and Ling, Shu-hua in the history of the world's attention to the shrine was worried attention to soils, rather than East-West dualism law by taking a mixture of both women in modern Chinese literature and Western literature from the center of efforts to overcome the traditional point hayeotdaneun feminist literature that may be different. Lin, Hui-yin and Ling, Shu-hua to overcome the Western-oriented culture really the true dream of China's globalization and localization could be regarded. She naesewotdeon the banner of feminist literature in the traditional 'anti feudal', 'free personality' silcheondoen under such slogans as well as women's liberation from traditional, male-oriented perspective away from the women's unique experiences and new understanding of the value of the superiority the concept of a woman, and was to create. The relationship between non-cognitive student attributes and academic achievements in a flipped learning classroom of a pre-dental science course

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether non-cognitive student attributes such as learning style and personality type affected academic performance in a flipped learning classroom of a pre-dental undergraduate science course. Methods: 'Biodiversity and Global Environment,' a 15-week, 3-credit course, was designed as a flipped class in Seoul National University School of Dentistry in 2017. Second-year pre-dental students were required to enroll in the course and to engage in online learning and in-class discussion. The Kolb's Learning Style Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator were conducted to measure non-cognitive student factors. Independent samples t-test and multivariate regression analyses were used to examine the relationships between self-rated measurements and academic achievement. Results: More than half of the students enrolled in the flipped science course had an assimilator learning style (50%), followed by convergers (24%), accommodators (16%), and divergers (10%), and their personality types were dominated by the introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging types, respectively. Examining group differences using the t-test demonstrated a significant relationship between the diverger group and higher academic success. In particular, the multivariate regression analysis indicated that both thinking types and female students performed better in discussion than feeling types and male students. Conclusion: To operate the flipped learning classroom more effectively in medical and dental education, the instructor should carefully develop and apply a more tailored facilitation and relevant assessment by considering student learning styles and personality types.

  • 뉴욕 공연계의 공연 주제, 공연 과정, 공연 문화는 그 영향력이 전 세계적으로 파급될 만큼 선도적이다. 그들이 담아내는 젠더에 관한 메시지는 정치, 사회, 문화 전반에 꾸준히 영향을 미친다. 헐리우드에서 시작된 'MeToo' 운동이 급속히 확대되고 공감받을 수 있었던 데는 이러한 문화적 영향력이 있었음을 부인할 수 없다. 그런 영향력은 오랜 기간 자신의 목소리로 키워낼 수 있는 내적 강화의 원동력이 되고 마침내 'MeToo' 운동으로 구체화 되었다. 뉴욕 공연계에 종사하면서 인식한 여성 인권의 존엄성 및 가치가 'MeToo' 운동으로 기폭제가 되어 대중적인 관심을 얻을 수 있었다. 이를 계기로 성에 근거한 불합리함과 폭력을 제거하기 위한 제도적, 법률적 장치를 마련하는 일이 시급하다.

한국근대소설의 여성복식에 나타난 문화현상 분석 (Analysis on the Cultural Phenomena related to the Depiction of Women's Costume in Korean Modern Novels)

  • This study is based on the periodical discourse of women and their costumes, described in modern novels that were published from late 1890s to the 1930s. New cultural phenomena emerged among Korean women in the period of modernization. In particular, rapid increase of jobs for women and preference for western female body shape are very noticeable phenomena that can be observed in novels of the 1930s. In addition, the symbolic meanings of female costumes are variously described in modern novels according to the periodical and spatial environment and jobs for women. The symbolic meanings are organized as 'Trophysm, Expression of sexuality, Liberation from male-dominated society, Symbolic difference between rural and urban areas, Vanity, Decadence, Mechanism tending to hide and Change of values'. And women's costumes kept changing in the boundary of 'Confliction, Coexistence and Harmonization' of traditional and western costumes. 'Confliction' phenomenon got emerged in novels published between 1900 and 1910. The resistance on traditional costumes that restricted woman's life got spread. But western female costumes as a symbol of new culture could not be generalized but accepted as high fashion. 'Coexistence' phenomenon was appeared in novels of the 1920s. At that time, the modernization for traditional costumes by female students was emerged along with trendy fashion. Also, the frequency of using western fashion items was increased in the Korean society. Therefore, it shows that western costumes in the Korean society became popularized in the coexistence with traditional costumes. 'Harmonization' phenomenon was emerged in novels of the 1930s. In the novels, the emergence of western female costumes, personal preference items, and westernized hair style implies that western costumes were absorbed into the Korean society that had kept traditional costumes.

  • Seasonal fluctuations in density of soil-inhabiting Pseudoscorpions at the Piagol, Mt. Chiri were assessed on the basis of 4,984 individuals collected from March 1993 to February 1995. They encompassed 2 families, 6 genera and 11 species. Species composition and abundance were as follows: Allochthonius buanensis 47.0%, Microcreagris sp. 2. 20.7%, Microcreagris pygmaea 12.9%, Microcreagris japonica 9.8%, Pararoncus japonicus 3.7%, Mundochthonius minusculus 3.2%, Parobisium longipalpus 1.2%, Microbisium pygmaeum 1.0%, Allochthonius coreanus 0.2%, Microcreagris sp. 1 0.2%, and Parobisium robustiella 0.1%. Diversity index (H') decreased and dominance index (C) increased at the height of 1,200 m. The heights of 500 m. The heights of 500 m and 600 m were dominated heavily by A. buanensis and abundance of M. japonical and Microcreagris sp. 2 was also comparatively high and H' was high in March and April, low in August and September. in case of May, Jun., Jul., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan. 1993, and Feb. 1994, H' stayed at a relatively constant level. A total of 4,984 individuals including 1,170 protonymphs (23.5%), 1,251 deutonymphs (25.1%), 533 tritonymphs (10.7%), and 2,030 adults (40.7%) was collected from the study sites. Sex ratio of the Pseudoscorpions was approximately 1 female : 1.1 male.

사회적 공론장으로서 텔레비전 토론 프로그램: 장르 관습과 한계 (Television Debates: Genre Conventions and Their Limits as Public Spheres)

  • 본 논문은 텔레비전이 시사토론 장르를 어떻게 구축하고 있으며, 그러한 장르적 양식이 사회적 공론장으로서의 공적 토론에 어떻게 의미를 부여하는가에 관심을 갖고 텔레비전에서 방영되는 시사토론 네 편을 대상으로 2001년 6월 한달 간의 포맷, 주제, 참여자, 통용되는 지식 등을 텍스트 분석하였다. 그 결과 텔레비전 토론은 시사성 주제, 심야편성, 논쟁적 토론, 찬반구도, 생방송 등의 특징적 틀을 공유하고 있었으며, 특히 정책토론의 경우 거의 똑같은 형식과 내용을 반복하고 있었다. 이 들은 경성/거시적인 주제, 권위적이고 조직적인 진행, 전문가와 남성으로 구성된 패널, 집단적 이해의 반영, 제한된 수용자 접근권을 공통적인 특징으로 보여주고 있었다. 토론장르가 수적으로는 활성화되어 있지만 획일적인 관습의 반복에 따라 결국 공론장의 다양한 가능성은 엄격하게 재생산되는 관습적 틀 속에 함몰되어 양식만이 재생산되는 모습을 보여주었다. 가치토론장르에서 새로운 시도가 나타나고는 있지만 보다 민주적이고 심층적인 토론을 이끌어내기 위해서는 장르관습의 전반적인 변화가 요청된다.
