지체도 최소화를 위한 주기변동기반 동적신호시간 결정모헝 개발 (Development of a Cycle-free Based, Cooridinated Dynamic Signal Timing Model for Minimizing Delay (Using Genetic Algorithm))

  • 본 연구에서는 평균지체시간을 최소화하는 변동주기 (Cycle fee) 기반의 동적 신호시간 결정모형을 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 개발하였다. 본 모형은 실시간으로 변화하는 각 접근로의 차량 도착분포를 토대로 이동류별 지체시간을 산정하고, 교차로의 지체시간을 최소화하는 신호주기의 길이와 이동류별 녹색시간을 산출한다. 개발모형은 4개 교차로로 구성된 간선도로를 대상으로 적용하였으며, 교차로 교통상황의 변화에 따라 신호주기별로 변동하는 신호주기의 길이, 이동류별 녹색시간 그리고 교차로간 변동 연동값을 각각 산출하였다. 모형의 적용결과 산출된 변동 신호주기와 이동류별 녹색시간은 비포화상태와 포화상태 모두 TRANSYT-7F나 PASSER-II에 의하여 산출된 정주기식 신호시간보다 대기차량수, 통과교통량, 그리고 지체시간에서 있어서 더 좋은 결과를 나타내었다. 또한 본 모형은 기존모형과는 달리 연동값을 고정 값으로 설정하지 않고 각 주기가 종료되는 시점마다 교차로 지체시간을 최소화하는 주기 및 이동류별 녹색시간을 산정하므로 연동값도 신호주기별로 변동하였다. 시공도 분석결과, 본 모형에서는 모형의 결과를 산출되는 변동 연동값을 통하여 주방향 이동류의 연동효과를 나타내었다.

  • The diagnostic used to observe the early flame development was a fiber optic spark plug, which enabled measurement of the flame front arrival times on a cycle-to-cycle basis. The data obtained with this fiber optic spark plug were analyzed to obtain two parameters to describe the behavior of the flame kernel : an expansion speed and a convection velocity. In addition, synchronized cylinder pressure data were taken to compare with the fiber optic spark plug data on a cyclic basis. Heat release analysis was performed on the cylinder pressure data to obtain the mass burning profile of the charge for each cycle. There was a significant correlation observed in the initial flame duration and the kernel expansion speed with dwell angle.

수중 선박엔진 음향 변환을 위한 향상된 CycleGAN 알고리즘 (Improved CycleGAN for underwater ship engine audio translation)

  • 기계학습 알고리즘은 소나 및 레이더를 포함한 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 최근 개발된 GAN(Generative Adversarial Networks)의 변형인 Cycle-Consistency Generative Adversarial Network(CycleGAN)은 쌍을 이루지 않은 이미지-이미지 변환에 대해 검증된 네트워크이다. 본 논문에서는 높은 품질로 수중 선박 엔진음을 변환시킬 수 있는 변형된 CycleGAN을 제안한다. 제안된 네트워크는 수중 음향을 기존영역에서 목표영역으로 변환시키는 생성자 모델과 데이터를 참과 거짓으로 구분하는 개선된 식별자 그리고 변환된 수환 일관성(Cycle Consistency) 손실함수로 구성된다. 제안된 CycleGAN의 정량 및 정성분석은 공개적으로 사용 가능한 수중 데이터 ShipsEar을 사용하여 기존 알고리즘들과 Mel-cepstral분포, 구조적 유사 지수, 최소 거리 비교, 평균 의견 점수를 평가 및 비교함으로써 수행되었고, 분석결과는 제안된 네트워크의 유효성을 입증하였다.

WDM 망에서 QoS 제약 조건을 고려한 p-Cycle 적용 방안 (Adaptation of p-Cycle considering QoS Constraints in WDM Networks)

  • 본 논문은 WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 망에서 서비스 품질에 따른 제약조건을 고려하였을 때 장애 복구에 적용될 수 있도록 개선된 p-cycle(preconfigured protection cycle) 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 p-cycle에서는 양방향으로 동일한 대역폭을 가지는 연결만을 고려하기 때문에 단방향 멀티캐스팅이나 양방향으로 서로 다른 대역폭을 사용하는 경우에는 적용하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 또한 대체 경로의 서비스 품질은 고려하지 않으므로 장애 발생 시 대체 경로에서 서비스 품질을 만족시킬 수 없을 수 있다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 단방향 멀티캐스팅이나 양방향 비대칭 대역폭을 사용하는 광대역 멀티미디어 통신에서 사용되는 단방향 연결의 장애복구를 효율적으로 구현할 수 있도록 P-cycle 기법을 개선하였다. 또한 장애복구를 위한 대체 경로의 P-Cycle에서 서비스 품질을 보장할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 P-cycle 선정을 위한 새로운 절차를 제안한다. 단방향 연결 개념을 사용한 P-cycle을 적용함으로서 비대칭적인 대역폭을 사용하는 통신환경에서 장애 복구를 위해 요구되는 대역폭을 줄일 수 있었으며, 제안된 p-cycle 선정 절차에 의해 구성된 대체 경로가 서비스 품질을 보장할 수 있는지의 여부를 시험하기 위해서 미국 시험망에 적용하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.

저속 디젤기관에서 흡기밸브 닫힘시기 지연시 고팽창 실현을 위한 열효율 특성 (A Chancteristic of Thermal Efficiency in Order to High Expansion Realization with a Retard of Intake Valve Closing Time in the Low Speed Diesel Engine)

  • In this research. the diesel cycle was thermodynamically interpreted to evaluate the possibility of high efficiency by converting diesel engines to the high expansion diesel cycle, and general cycle features were analyzed after comparing these two cycles. Based on these analyses. an experimental single cylinder a long stroke with high expansion-diesel engine. of which S/B ratio was more than 3, was manufactured. After evaluating the base engine through basic experiments, a diesel engine was converted into the high expansion diesel engine by establish VCR device and VVT system Accordingly, the high expansion diesel cycle can be implemented when the quantity of intake air is compensated by supercharge and the effective compression ratio is maintained at its initial level through the reduction of the clearance volume. In this case, heat efficiency increased by $5.0\%$ at the same expansion-compression ratio when the apparent compression ratio was 20 and the fuel cut off ratio was 2. As explained above, when the atkinson cycle was used for diesel cycle, heat efficiency was improved. In order to realize high expansion through retarding the intake value closing time, the engine needs to be equipped with variable valve timing equipment, variable compression ratio equipment and supercharged pressure equipment. Then a high expansion diesel cycle engine is realized.

3단압축 드라이아이스 제조사이클의 압축동력과 엑서지 해석 (Compression Power and Exergy Analysis in a Dry Ice Production Cycle with 3-stage Compression)

  • In order to minimize compression power and analyze the cause of exergy loss for a dry ice production cycle with 3-stage compression, the variation of compression power was investigated and the exergy analysis was peformed for the cycle. In this cycle, $CO_2$, is used both as a refrigerant and as a raw material for dry ice. The behavior of compression power and irreversibility in the cycle were examined as a function of intermediate pressure. From this result, the conditions for the minimum compression power were obtained in terms of the first stage or the third stage pressure. In addition, the irreversibilities for the cycle were investigated with respect to the efficiency of compressor. Result shows that the optimum pressure is not consistent with the conventional pressure obtained from the equal-pressure-ratio assumption. This is mainly due to the change in mass flow rate of the intermediate stage compressor by the flash gas evaporation from the flash drums. Most important is that the present exergy analysis enabled us to find bad performance components for the cycle and informed us of methods to improve the cycle performance.

동아(東亞)에 있어서의 헤르시니아 운동(運動) (Hercynian Orogenic Cycle in the Eastern Asia)

  • Orogenic cycle is closely related with sedimentary cycle, and a sedimentary cycle involves the birth, development and disappearance of a sedimentary basin. Paleontological studies have indicated that birth or disappearance of sedimentary basins of separated regions frequently coincided in time. In this paper, the writer presents his assumption on the East Asian analogy of the Hercynian orogenic cycle in accord to the above mentioned generalities. Previous studies, including mine have a corollary that Korea and Southern China, which had been uplifted by the Caledonian movement, changed into low-lying region with subsiding areas in the Givetian time. The writer, thus, thinks that the Hercynian orogenic cycle started in Givetian, and that the Mongolian geosyncline in China, the Gangweon Basin in Korea and the Honshu geosyncline in Japan disappeared in the Ladinian. The writer, therefore, thinks that the Ladinian marks the end of the Hercynian orogenic cycle, but this assumption will have to be rechecked in consideration with the Alpine orogenic cycle. The Late Namurian-Early Bashkirian time, the dividing period between the early and late Hercynian orogenic cycle, is thought to correspond the time of the Hongjeom Series deposition. The writer is also of the view that the Akiyoshi orogenic cycle(T. Kobayashi) corresponds the late Hercynian phase, and that the Abenian movements(M. Minato) corresponds to the range from the late Caledonian phase to the former part of late Hercynian phase.

저온 열원 및 LNG 냉열을 이용하는 복합 발전 사이클의 성능 해석 (Performance Analysis of a Combined Power Cycle Utilizing Low-Temperature Heat Source and LNG Cold Energy)

  • Power generation cycle using ammonia-water mixture as working fluid has attracted much attention because of its ability to efficiently convert low-temperature heat source into useful work. If an ammonia-water power cycle is combined with a power cycle using liquefied natural gas (LNG), the conversion efficiency could be further improved owing to the cold energy of LNG at $-162^{\circ}C$. In this work parametric study is carried out on the thermodynamic performance of a power cycle consisted of an ammonia-water Rankine cycle as an upper cycle and a LNG cycle as a bottom cycle. As a driving energy the combined cycle utilizes a low-temperature heat source in the form of sensible heat. The effects on the system performance of the system parameters such as ammonia concentration ($x_b$), turbine 1 inlet pressure ($P_{H_1}$) and temperature ($T_{H_1}$), and condenser outlet temperature ($T_{L_1}$) are extensively investigated. Calculation results show that thermal efficiency increases with the increase of $P_{H_1}$, $T_{H_1}$ and the decrease of $T_{L_1}$, while its dependence on $x_b$ has a downward convex shape. The changes of net work generation with respect to $P_{H_1}$, $T_{H_1}$, $T_{L_1}$, and $x_b$ are roughly linear.

원자력발전소 온배수를 이용한 해양 온도차발전 사이클 해석 (Cycle Simulation on OTEC System using the Condenser Effluent from Nuclear Power Plant)

  • For the past few years, the concern for clean energy has been greatly increased. Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion(OTEC) power plants are studied as a viable option for the supply of clean energy. In this paper, the thermodynamic performance of OTEC cycle was examined. Computer simulation programs were developed under the same condition and various working fluids for closed Rankine cycle, regeneration cycle, Kalina cycle, open cycle and hybrid cycle. The results show that the regeneration cycle using R125 showed a 0.17 to 1.56% increase in energy efficiency, and simple Rankine cycle can generate electricity when the difference in warm and cold sea water inlet temperatures are greater than $15^{\circ}C$. Also, the cycle efficiency of OTEC power plant using the condenser effluent from nuclear power plant instead of the surface water increased about 2%.

디젤기관의 아트킨슨 사이클화에 따른 제반성능의 열역학적 해석 (A Thermodynamic Analysis on the Performance with turning Diesel Cycle into Diesel-Atkinson Cycle)

  • In order to recognize thermal efficiency and power improvement in case that diesel cycle is turned into diesel-atkinson cycle, the fuel-air diesel-atkinson cycle considered gas exchange process is analyzed non-dimensionally and thermodynamically. As a result, in case of diesel-atkinson cycle, as expansion ratio is increased, thermal efficiency and mean effective pressure is increased and it has maximum value at Rec=1. When diesel cycle is turned into diesel-atkinson cycle by late intake valve closing timing, thermal efficiency and power is decreased because of the decline of effective compression ratio and intake airflow, but it could be compensated by increase of compression ratio or super-charged. In case compression ratio is compensated, Rec appears 1 around 100$^{\circ}$ ABDC, and it is expected that thermal efficiency is enhanced by 14.3% compared with conventional diesel cycle. In case compression ratio and intake airflow are compensated simultaneously, super-charged pressure is demanded 2.06bar at Rec=1 and it is more efficient when only compression ratio is compensated in the view point of thermal efficiency.
