CW $CO_2$ Laser Beam Welding and Formability of Zn-Coated Steel Plates (아연도금강판의 CW $CO_2$ 레이저 용접 및 성형성)

  • Continuous wave C $O_{2}$ laser beam welding and formability of zinc coated steel plates were investigated. First, the optimal welding condition could be obtained in lap configuration by using the data for heat input, gap size and fracture behaviour. The gap size for fully-penetrated bead could be predicted by the gap model by Akhter et al. AIso, it was found that the joining efficiency was constant. Secondly, the butt welding of dissimilar materials (zinc coated steel plate and cold rolled steel plate) with different thicknesses was investigated. In the thickness range of 0.8-2.0 mm, the maximum welding speed of 10m/min was obtained. In the butt welding of two plates with thickness 2.0 mm and l.6mm, the maximum, welding speed of 6m/min was obtained, Finally. the forming results of butt-welded plates showed that the joining design was important to apply the laser welded blank in the automotive production.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Trace Lead(II) After Extraction of Lead-Thiosulfate Complex into Aliquat336-CHCl$_3$ and Replacement by Cu (납-티오황산 착물생성과 구리치환에 의한 미량 납(II)의 비색분석에 관한 연구)

  • A spectrophotometric method was developed for the acidic solution stripped after an extraction of 0.5 to 2.5 ppm of Lead(II) from 50 mL of $Na_2S_2O_3$ solution into chloroform as the ion-pairs formed between their thiosulfate complexes and alkylamine, Aliquat336. Pb(II) in the stripped solution forms an complex with DDTC in pH 7.3 buffer solution, and was developed in yellow by copper replacement. The ydlow-colored solution have the maximum absorbance at 435 nm in the measurement of absorbance by UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The interference ions such as Fe(III), Hg (II), Al(III), Co, Cu, Ni, Zn, Ca, Sn, have great effects on the extraction, but they were overcomed by the usage of adequate masking agents before an extraction. At last, a good result was obtained in applying this method to synthetic water.

Testing and modelling of shape memory alloy plates for energy dissipators

  • Shape memory alloys (SMA) can dissipate energy through hysteresis cycles without significant residual deformation. This paper describes the fabrication and testing of copper-based SMA hourglass-shaped plates for use in energy dissipation devices and the development of a numerical model to reproduce the experiments. The plates were tested under cyclic flexural deformations, showing stable hysteresis cycles without strength degradation. A detailed nonlinear numerical model was developed and validated with the experimental data, using as input the constitutive relationship for the material determined from cyclic tests of material coupons under tension loading. The model adequately reproduces the experimental results. The study is focused on the exploitation of SMA in the martensite phase.

  • 최근 FPD에 투명전극으로 사용되는 ITO는 뛰어난 전기적, 광학적 특성을 가지고 있다. 하지만 ITO는 저온공정의 어려움과 ITO의 원료인 In의 수급 불안정 및 스퍼터링 시 음이온 충격에 의한 막 손상으로 인한 저항 증가 등과 같은 것들이 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 본 실험에서는 ITO 투명전극을 대체하기 위한 물질로 2wt.%의 Al이 도핑된 ZnO 세라믹 타겟을 이용한 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법으로 상온, $150^{\circ}C,\;225^{\circ}C,\;300^{\circ}C$ 및 다양한 증착압력 하에서 유리기판 위에 AZO 투명전도막을 증착하였다. 박막의 결정성과 입자의 크기 증착조건에 영향을 받았다. AZO 박막의 전기적특성은 기판온도가 고온일수록 향상되었으며, 박막의 두께가 200nm으로 일정할 때 가시광 영역에서의 투과도는 평균 80% 정도였다.

Aligning Capabilities for Vatical-Alignment (VA) Liquid Crystal Display using AZO Film

  • We have investigated liquid crystal (LC) aligning capabilities and electro-optical (EO) characteristics of transparent electrodes as Al-doped ZnO (AZO) substituting indium tin oxide (ITO). The experiment results show that a uniform vertical LC alignment on AZO electrodes based on a rubbed polyimide (PI) surface were achieved. A high pretilt angle of about $88^{\circ}$ was obtained. EO performances of the VA cell on rubbed PI surfaces with AZO electrodes are almost the same as that of the VA cell with ITO electrodes. These results appeared that AZO electrodes as transparent electrodes of LCDs could substitute ITO electrodes.

  • In die and mould industry, major material such as cemented carbide is broadly used for increasing the life time and decreasing the cost. It is also required the development for the skills of wire-cut electrical discharge machining(WEDM), but the WEDMed surface was found to be worst due to the attached components of wire. Precision machining method like lapping is necessary for obtaining high quality surface. The lapping compound such as Al2O3 and SiC and cast iron lap can be used for lapping process. The components of Cu and Zn were found WEDMed surface of the specimen. As the result, the low quality of precision was obtained and the heat damage layer of the specimen was occurred. The value of surface hardness was deteriorated, and therefore finish process was required.

Property analysis of Hafnium doped Aluminum-Zinc-Oxide films (Hf의 도핑에 따른 Al-Zn-O 박막의 물성 분석)

  • In this study, hafnium was doped into aluminum zinc oxide (AZO) films were deposited on glass and Si substrates at room temperature via co-sputtering by varying the electric power applied to the Hf target. The properties of deposited Hf-doped AZO films, such as crystalline structure, optical transmittance, and band gap were analyzed using various methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV/visible spectrophotometer. The experimental results confirmed that the abovementioned properties of Hf-AZO films strongly depended on the Hf sputtering power.

  • 실제 산업에서 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 in-line type system에서 Al-doped ZnO (AZO) 막을 bipolar pulsed DC sputtering을 이용해 증착하였다. 약 30 nm/sec의 속도로 기판을 타겟 좌우로 swing 하면서 동적 증착 공정을 한 AZO 박막의 columnar structure가 정적 증착일 때와 다른 형태의 zigzag-type columnar structure가 형성되었다. 투명전도막의 가장 중요한 특성인 비저항과 투과도가 동적 증착 공정일 때의 박막과 정적 증착 공정일 때의 박막이 각각 $2.5{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, 78.5%와 $1.65{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, 83.9% 였다. 이렇게 성장하는 막의 구조 형태에 따라 달라지는 특성 변화는 양산하는 현장에서 매우 중요한 것이며, 동적 증착 공정에서의 박막 특성 개선에 정적 증착 공정과는 다른 방법의 연구가 필요할 것이다.

Double Textured AZO Film and Glass Substrate by Wet Etching Method for Solar Cell Application

  • Al doped ZnO (AZO) thin films were deposited on textured glass substrate by magnetron sputtering method. Also, AZO films on textured glass were etched by hydrochloric acid (HCl). Average thickness of etched AZO films are 90 nm. We observed morphology of AZO film by AFM with various etchant concentration and etching time. Etched AZO films have low resistivity and high haze. The surface RMS roughness of AZO film was increased from 53.8 nm to 84.5 nm. The haze ratio was also enhanced in above 700 nm of wavelength due to light trapping effect was increased by rough AZO surface. The etched AZO films on textured glass are applicable to fabricate solar cell.

  • ITO (Indium-Tin Oxide)는 전기전도도, 가시광선투과도가 높으며, 패터닝하기 쉬운 장점을 가지나 Indium의 자원 고갈에 의한 재료비 상승의 문제점을 가지고 있어, 이를 대체하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ITO 대신 AZO (ZnO:Al)를 기판온도에 따라 마그네트론 DC 스퍼터를 이용하여 소다라임 글래스에 증착하여 투명전극의 전기, 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. 조건에 따라 증착된 AZO 투명전극위에 유기 태양전지 흡수층으로 Poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT)와 (phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM)를 사용하였으며, Glass/AZO/P3HT:PCBM/PEDOT:PSS/Ag의 구조를 갖는 Inverted 유기 태양전지를 제작하여 ITO 투명전극에 제작된 유기태양전지와의 특성을 비교, 분석 하였다.
