(주)래디언트솔루션(대표 김지형)이 지난 12월 14일 서울 한남동에 위치한 파트너스하우스에서 'ZEMAX User Conference 2012'를 열었다. 이번 컨퍼런스는 ZEMAX 예제집인 'ZEMAX를 이용한 실무 광학설계'의 출판을 기념해 열린 행사로 60여 명의 ZEMAX 사용자들이 참석했다.

Purpose: This study was aimed to design new schematic eyes for presbyopia using the Navarro eye model and clinical data. Methods: We collected clinical data of eye-optical parameters of males in their age of 40, 50, and 60 from previous studies, and designed schematic eyes for presbyopia using the ZEMAX program. Results: The presbyopic process and features of the designed schematic eyes well accorded with the clinical data of previous studies. Conclusions: On the basis of the Navarro eye model, a finite schematic eyes for presbyopia were newly designed corresponding with clinical data.

17세기부터 시작된 인류의 화성탐사 역사는 광학 망원경의 발달과 함께 점점 발전하기 시작하면서 21세기에 이르러 마침내 화성에 무인 탐사선을 보내게 된다. 본고는 2012년 8월 성공적으로 화성에 착륙한 화성 탐사로봇 'Curiosity(큐리오시티)'에 탑재된 17개 카메라에 대한 설명과, 2004년 화성 탐사로봇에 탑재되었던 'Opportunity(오퍼튜니티)', 'Spirit(스피릿)'의 카메라 렌즈 설계에 대한 것으로 2006년 SPIE 출판사에서 출간한 'Camera Lenses FromBox Camera to Digital'의 발췌문으로 구성되어 있다. 미항공우주국(NASA)은 이들 카메라의 렌즈 설계를 위해 ZEMAX 광학설계 소프트웨어를 사용했으며, 국내에서도 많은 광학 설계 엔지니어들이 ZEMAX를 사용하고 있다. 멀지 않은 미래에 대한민국의 광학설계 기술이 우주탐사 역사에 한획을 그을 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

In this paper, we proposed the dual curved lens of concave type. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) used to fabricate the dual curved lens. The dual curved lens consisted of two concave structures. Role of two concave structures is to beam uniform and expansion. A small concave structure has the greater curvature than big concave structure. The dual curved lens will apply to millimeter imaging system. We measured the dual curved lens performance using 250 GHz VDI source. And we simulated the dual curved lens using ZEMAX. Fabricated lens have a good performance for beam uniform and expansion.
