  • We investigated youth's awareness of traditional clothing culture in order to promote it, and we developed and applied the Teaching-Learning process related to clothing life chapters. We analyzed 12 types of high school freshman textbooks under the revised $7^{th}$ national curriculum and selected 5 major subjects of learning 'traditional culture', 'History of Han-bok', 'colors of Han-bok', 'pattern & material of Han-bok', 'globalization of Han-bok' related to 'change of home life & culture' chapter. Also we developed 5-period Teaching-Learning Lesson Plan and 48-teaching materials(22 for students, 22 - for classes, 4 for teachers) and applied it to usual classes. The mean score of youth's awareness of traditional clothing culture in the post-test was significantly higher than in the pre-test. We concluded it was highly efficient in the youth's awareness of traditional clothing culture as right awareness about traditional clothing life culture, acceptance of foreign culture, positive attitude in traditional culture. Awareness about traditional clothing culture education was improved significantly, so we recognized importance of traditional culture education through it. We suggest that various themes on traditional culture should be developed and more reinforced. • In this study, we examined at what level young people perceive their level of life and the overall degree of happiness in their lives, and empirically analyzed the factors affecting them through multiple regression and ordered logit models. As a result of the analysis, young people were more aware of the degree of overall happiness than their perception of their lives. It has been confirmed that the factors affecting the young generation's perception of the level of life and the degree of happiness are different and different factors are working on each group. In addition, it has been found that the subjective factors of psychological and emotional characteristics have a greater influence than the objective factors of social and demographic characteristics at the level of awareness of life and happiness level. However, in the case of the youth group, it was found that objective factors such as job satisfaction are the determinants that have the greatest influence on life awareness and happiness. The tendency to paradoxically respond to the current level of happiness due to despair of the future has been found to be seen in some subgroups(middle income plus working group) rather than in the whole youth generation.

  • This study aims to investigate various cultural activities of the Korean youth including the subcultural and popular cultural activities and their characteristics and influences on the youth fashion during the period 1996-2004. This study employs a qualitative approach based on the previous discussions of relevant literatures dealing with Korean youth culture and their fashion styles. The result of the study shows that the most prominent characteristic in youth fashion of the period was 'bricolage.' The appearance of 'Seotaiji' and the activities of his group laid the cornerstone of youth culture in the early 1990's. The influence of postmodernism changed the conventional sexism and androgynous outfit thrived. The androgynous effect also had strong influence on men's fashion in what turned out to be Metro-Sexual in early 2004. During the period 2000-2004 the postmodernism regained its popularity both in culture and fashion. 'Body' was also an important part of youth culture and has become the most popular and prevalent word of this era. At the same time the 'Well-Being' and sports look were the new trend of youth fashion. Sports look, also known as Caports, is one of these new trends and the most important youth fashion style like mix & match reformation. The youth became more and more aware of the body image and were interested in fashion as well. This trend awareness of their body and Well-Being image as well as their inclination to the fashion in the youth is expected to continue. Therefore the fashion industry, as their marketing strategy, needs to analyze the characteristics of the cultural trends among the youth and to prepare for the future need of youth fashion.

  • This study focused on the literary world of T. Tolstaya, a Russian writer who takes a crucial position in contemporary Russian literature, drawing upon the wrier's a couple of short stories. 'Youth' is a key motive encompassing all works of Tolstaya, so that it becomes the poetic keynote among her literary works. In order to examine such distinctions of the main characters' world awareness in their youth as shown in Tolstaya's literary works, Chapter 2 of this paper paid a special attention to the analyse of her representative works such as "Sitting on a Golden Terracing Stone" and "Meeting with a Bird", and expressed potential implications of youth with mimetic imagination for her. For Tolstaya, youth is perceived as a paradise but original imagination of youth gradually fades away in adult and ends up with a lost paradise. This is why Tolstaya uses poetic means based on nostalgia for youth like paradise and literary motto for recovery of imagination in youth. In this regard, this study particularly examined the retrospective prologue resisting the power of time as well as different fictional characters living in her own fantastic world. As a result, this study draws a conclusion that such longing and nostalgia for youth and lost paradise as delineated by Tolstaya through retrospective prologue and characters speak for an existential speculation that explores any profound implication of afflictions in reality of human life, rather than focusing on the painful reality of human life which consists of honest dialogues with realities like 'darkness' and 'pain.' In addition, this study, complying with Zolotonosov's ideas which deal with and define Tolstaya's literary works as a shabby and humble box invisibly containing a full wealth of precious jewels inside, sheds a new light on the writer's literary world.

  • The Digital Age calls for improvement of information literacy particularly among children and youth who are vulnerable to cybergrooming. Taking an interdisciplinary approach by leveraging our team's expertise including child and adolescent development, data analytics, and cybersecurity, this study proposes an interactive artificial intelligence (AI)-based preventive simulation program that raises youth knowledge and awareness about the risk of cybergrooming as well as increases resilient self-efficacy in their cybersecurity-relevant skills. The primary purpose of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of the simulation program on preventing cybergrooming. More specifically, this study is designed to examine developmental changes in self-efficacy of cybersecurity-relevant skills among youth participants as a function of the preventive simulation program. Further, this study will identify risk and protective factors that explain interindividual differences in the ability of children and youth either to fall victim to advances from a cyber predator or to recognize and deter such threats. The preliminary data will help improve the effectiveness of the preventive simulation program as well as the methods of implementation to large groups of youth. The findings from the proposed study will contribute to making specific recommendations to parents, educators, practitioners, and policy makers for the prevention of cybergrooming.
