Purpose: This study was conducted from March to August, 2003 to evaluate the process and outcomes of a program to promote healthy joints in older adults residing in the community. Method: A quasi experimental research design (one group pretest posttest design) was used in this study. The participants were 26 older adults (but 74 older adults also participated in a program immediately after the study program). Program had 4 sessions (8 hours) once a week. Data were collected before the program, immediately after and 4 weeks after the program was completed and were analyzed with paired t-test. Results: The level of a satisfaction, interest and understanding of the program were high. Significant differences were found in the health state, the flexibility of neck and shoulder joints and joint exercise habits between the scores before the program started and 4 weeks after it finished. Conclusion: This results suggest that the joint health promotion program for older adults in the community developed this study is effective. So this program can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention for joint health promotion in older adults living in the community.

Purpose Recently, social interest in the convergence research is at its peak. However, contrary to the keen interest in convergence research, an infrastructure that makes it easier to recruit researchers from other fields is not yet well established, which is why researchers are having considerable difficulty in carrying out real convergence research. In this study, we implemented a researcher recommendation system that helps researchers who want to collaborate easily recruit researchers from other fields, and we expect it to serve as a springboard for growth in the convergence research field. Design/methodology/approach In this study, we implemented a system that recommends proper researchers when users enter keyword in the field of research that they want to collaborate using word embedding techniques, word2vec. In addition, we also implemented function of keyword suggestions by using keywords drawn from LDA Topicmodeling Algorithm. Finally, the UI of the researcher recommendation system was completed by utilizing the collaborative messenger Slack to facilitate immediate exchange of information with the recommended researchers and to accommodate various applications for collaboration. Findings In this study, we validated the completed researcher recommendation system by ensuring that the list of researchers recommended by entering a specific keyword is accurate and that words learned as a similar word with a particular researcher match the researcher's field of research. The results showed 85.89% accuracy in the former, and in the latter case, mostly, the words drawn as similar words were found to match the researcher's field of research, leading to excellent performance of the researcher recommendation system.

The purpose of this study is to figure out how the tightened research ethics influences in researcher's activities. In addition, I also researched that how reflection researcher performance can encourage the researchers' activities. The results show the two conditions affect the researcher's activities. It is important to analyze researcher's attitude at the oint of intensifying research ethics. For this study, I surveyed 152 professors and conducted correlation analysis and regression analysis with SPSS 12.0.

To isolate Lactic acid bacteria for animals, we have screened from Kim-chi, swine intestine, swine feces, and dairy products by random selection and anti-viral, antipathogenic bacteria test. Among them, CLP-1 shown that inhibitory effect against rotavirus, porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus, Salmonella sp, and E.coli. By examining biological property, API-ZYM and identified Lactobacillus plantarum by 16S rDNAgene sequence. CLP-1 determined resistance to low pH and bile salt. Futhermore, the cell body of CLP-1 adhered to the intestinal epithelium tissue of swine and Caco-2 cell. CLP-1 was examined on cell immune system modulating activity in vitro. The whole cell and cell culture supernatant was increasing of interferon-${\beta}$ activity. And then, CLP-1 increased prevention effect by Salmonella enteritidis infection in SPF chickens. And we determined similar result in pigs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore and understanding the nature of the shift workers' experience in industries requiring 24 hours-a-day service provision and support. For the Purpose, the present researcher made a research Question, "What are workers' experience in the shift work?" Methods: In the study, 5 male shift workers, 3 female shift worker and a woman (key informant) whose husband is a shift worker participated. Then profound interviews with the participants were made after their agreement. Results: The researcher classified the significant statements under 6 theme clusters, 1) sense of difference; 2) worries about health; 3) draining of emotion; 4) anxiety; 5) sadness; and 6) being comfortable. Conclusions: Shift work which is inevitable in modern society may have severe influences on shift workers' physical, mental and psychological aspects by causing their work cycle rhythm to be unbalanced. Finally, the researcher hopes that the results of the study would help understand workers' life and increase social concern and support to the workers.

This exploratory study investigated the real time adaptability of industry training for college professors. For this study, the researcher whose college's professor in the department of early childhood education used collaborative action research. This research was conducted in a class of five year old children of a daycare center in D city. The researcher and the homeroom teacher interacted with each other through 4 steps during the researcher's training period. The first step was group formation between the researcher and the teacher. The second step was problem identification. The third step was a review of the literature. The forth step was problem-solving. The researcher and teacher finally developed a rhythm movement program that was based on fundamental motor performance of young children. Through this collaborative effort, the researcher and teacher had the opportunity to improve their professionalism. Especially, the researcher improved her understanding and knowledge of teaching young kids. The result of this study is meaningful in that it provided basic data to improve training of college professors.

The Korean Society for Engineering Education (KSEE) has been conducted scholarship meeting, workshop, and publicated academic journal, Engineering Education Research, since 1998. Kim Jin-soo analysed 'Engineering Education Research' on methods of research and contents. However, there are an in crease in quantity since then, it needed to analyse and arrange. This study analysed all 417 papers which were published from 1998 to 2012. The conclusion is as in the following. First, the number of collections published has been increasing up to 6 per year. 75.5% of the lead author's institution are universities, and Engineering Education Innovation Center researcher has been increasing steadily up to 8.9%. Research about Engineering Education Methods and Programs are being mostly studied. Apart from classified field in this, a study on the psychological characteristics of technology students are being steadily researched. In papers, the literature/development research method is used the most frequently (54.6%), the research study (39.9%) is the next and the experimental research method (5.5%) is followed by. Since 2006, study using the experimental research method is the growing lately. Second, characteristic of study between institution of lead author, a field of study, a number of study and methods of research by cross analyzing. The result is as in the following. In case of university and Engineering Education Innovation Center researcher studied much more about Engineering Education Methods and programs, research laboratory researcher tend to study about Engineering Educational Philosophy and Policy. Also, foreign researcher tend to introduce Engineering Education Example and Lecture. In case of university and foreign researcher used the literature/development research method frequently. Engineering Education Innovation Center and research laboratory and school researcher used the research study much more. There is no difference between a field of study and research methods. Finally, research strategies and new direction for improving the engineering education journal's papers at the section of discussion and suggestion were suggested.

The study for seismic characteristics of square concrete-filled steel tubular (CFT) columns is analytically conducted. For predicting the strength and ductility of CFT columns, fiber analysis technique is used. The analytical results show reasonable agreement with experiment results. The influence of the steel tube on the lateral response of CFT columns is studied for the evaluation of seismic performance.

Purpose: Guided by Newman's theory of health as expanding consciousness, this study was done to explore the health experience of adolescents having depression. Methods: The researcher engaged in six to eight in-depth interviews with six adolescents. To begin the dialog, the researcher asked each participant to recount the first important memory he/ she had. All the narrative and diagram sharing between the researcher and participants were summarized according to recognized patterns and later elaborated in following interviews based on Newman's praxis methodology. Results: The significant individual pattern of early health experience was during the binding stage. At the turning point, individual patterns for participants revealed a personal journey of self-discovery and then emergence of reflecting behaviors. After the turning point, the participants changed as they evolved from the initial period of disruption and disorganization to organization at a higher level. The results suggest that adolescents who are depressive find new ways of relating to friends, family, healthcare providers, and the community by expanding their consciousness. Conclusion: Newman's praxis methodology is a good way of helping and studying adolescents with depression because it emphasizes participant-nurse/researcher partnership and pattern recognition as nursing practice.

Electronic systems may be cause of various serious failures due to an ionizing radiation effect when exposed to a prompt gamma-ray pulse. This transient electrical malfunction can, in some cases, results in a failure of the electronic system of which the circuits are a part. Transient radiation measurement and evaluation system is required to development for enhanced radiation-resistance against the initial nuclear radiation produced by the detonation of a nuclear weapon of semiconductor devices. In these studies, we performed the following work. In the first part of the work, we carried out a SPICE simulation applied to nuclear radiation condition for PN diode and we also investigated the photocurrent by a pulsed gamma-ray on a PN diode using a TCAD simulation.
