Tracheal collapse at the thoracic inlet is described in a 4 year-old female yorkshire terrier. The initial presenting signs included coughing, dyspnea, cyanosis and collapse. Diagnosis was based upon the clinical signs, physical examination, plain radiography and fluoroscopy. The collapse was corrected by the aplication of a neumber of modified total ring prostheses (m-TRP) applied to the cervical trachea. Clinical complicatons were minimal and limited to mild, short-term coughing. The present study indicated that m-TRP were easy to apply to tracheal collapse and were able to decrese clinical signs. Therefore, m-TRP may be applied to tracheal collapse as new prostheses.

A 12-year old neutered male Yorkshire terrier dog was presented to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Seoul National University with a history of chronic intermittent diarrhea, vomiting, anorexia and weight loss of 2-months duration. On presentation, he was very cachexic and had ascites. Abnormal findings on a complete blood count and chemistry profile included mild anemia, leukocytosis, panhypoproteinemia, hypocholesterolemia, decreased blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and increased serum bile acids. Radiographic findings indicated microhepatica. Peritoneal fluid analysis was consistent with transudates (total protein < 2.5 g/dl, total nucleated cell count = 2,200/ul) and cytologic examination of the fluid revealed neoplastic lymphoblasts. From these findings hepatic dysfunction and protein-losing enteropathy were attributable to abdominal lymphoma. This case suggests that cytologic examination is important in diagnosing underlying diseases of ascites, even if it is transudative effusion.

An 11-year-old, castrated male dog presented with a 3-month history of cough and depression. Auscultation revealed systolic murmur and thoracic radiographs showing enlargement of both the atrium and left ventricle. Echocardiography showed thickened mitral valve and moderate-to-severe left atrial enlargement. Additionally, M-mode echocardiography showed symmetric left ventricular wall thickening and systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve, while Doppler imaging revealed high velocity turbulent flow through the left ventricular outflow tract. Based on echocardiography, this case was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. After 5 months, the dog was clinically static in radiography and echocardiography.

A 2.9 kg, eight-year-old Yorkshire terrier bitch with anorexia and vomiting for 2 weeks was referred to the Seoul National University Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. The bitch was diagnosed as open cervix pyometra by clinical sign, radiography, ultrasonography and complete blood count. The owner didn't want surgery. So, we chose the electroacupuncture and antibiotics treatment. Electroacupuncture treatment was performed for 15 days at Zi-Gong-Shu and Luan-Chao-Shu acupoints with electrical stimulus at the frequency of 5 Hz, 2~4 volts and for 20 minutes twice a day and ciprofloxacin (5 mg/kg, IM) was administered once a day. At 15 days after treatment diameter of the uterus was contracted to 6.9 mm and total WBC count was 8.5$\times$10$^3$/㎣, progesteron concentration was 0.24 ng/dl and clinical signs including vaginal discharge were disappeared. The first estrus was detected 5 months after the last treatment. With this results, the electroacupuncture for canine open cervix pyometra was considered to be the useful alternative treatment.

A 9-year-old, female Yorkshire terrier and a 10-year-old, female Maltese were referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Konkuk University. The dogs were presented with severe swelling and cutaneous sinus tract on the left suborbital lesion. Under general anesthesia, we performed physical, intraoral examinations and survey radiography, and diagnosed as periapical abscess in a left fourth premolar tooth. They were treated with tooth extraction, and the sinus tracts were drained with 0.05% chlorhexidine solution. After teeth extractions, medication applied by the result of antibiotic sensitivity test. During follow-up 10 months later, the left suborbital swelling had completely resolved.

A 14-year-old intact female Yorkshire terrier was presented with a 2-month history of shivering, intermittent pelvic limb weakness and collapse. Biochemical abnormalities revealed inappropriately increased serum insulin concentration with persistent hypoglycemia. Abdominal ultrasound revealed multiple various sized nodules in liver and fine-needle aspirates of the nodule showed typical neuroendocrine cells with high cellularity. Computed tomography (CT) revealed well-defined hyperattenuating mass in the right pancreatic lobe with homogenous enhancement. CT findings were consistent with a pancreatic tumor with malignant metastasis. Treatment was initiated with low-dose prednisolone and toceranib phosphate. The dog was maintained stable with no more progression of clinical signs and it is worth to try toceranib phosphate in a dog with metastatic insulinoma for improving the quality of life.

A 13-year-old, castrated male Yorkshire terrier was presented with acute blepharospasm 2 months after phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation in the left eye. Menace response was weakly positive in the left eye. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was 98 mmHg in the left eye. On ophthalmic examination using slit lamp biomicroscope, episcleral injection and corneal edema were observed in the left eye. Aqueous flare (1+) and iris bombe with peripheral anterior synechia were also detected in the left eye. In spite of medical treatments, IOP was remained more than 50 mmHg. Synechiolysis and radial iridectomy with irrigation/aspiration of anterior chamber were performed in the left eye. One week after the surgery, tissue plasminogen activator was injected to resolve the blood and fibrin clot in the left anterior chamber. Menace response was recovered completely 1 month after the surgery and IOP was maintained less than 20 mmHg more than 6 months.

A 4-year-old Yorkshire terrier was presented with hindlimb paresis and urinary incontinence after accidental ingestion of an herbicide. Based on neurologic examinations, decreased hindlimb proprioception with flaccid paresis were revealed. Other possible causes of the clinical signs were excluded. The clinical signs gradually improved after administration of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant therapy. This case report is the first to describe the long-term outcome of hindlimb paresis and urinary incontinence induced by glyphosate surfactant herbicide (GPSH) poisoning in a dog.

A 12-year-old bitch, Yorkshire terrier, was admitted to the Chungbuk National University animal hospital with draining from mammary masses in the left and right mammary glands. She was involved in the mammary masses, suffering bilateral inguinal hernia. Physical examination during the hospitalization demonstrated the masses in right (3 cm) and left (1.5 cm) mammary glands. Blood pool images didn\`t show the subtle increase in blood flow to the inguinal hernia, and the increase of radionuclide distribution to the mammary gland on the soft tissue phase. However, delayed bone images showed a very focal lesion in the right mammary gland. These findings were confirmed on a subsequent biopsy, which also revealed adenocarcinoma with areas of malignant new bone formation. We present a case of primary mammary adenocarcinoma with $^{99m}Tc-MDP$ activity relative to normal bone. Tumor in the bitch demonstrates malignant new bone formation as the likely mechanism for the marked radiotracer avidity.

A 14-year-old virgin, female Yorkshire Terrier showed enlarged abdomen after udderectomy was diagnosed with canine mammary gland tumor accompanied with hydrometra. Gross findings appeared a white-yellowish $l0{\times}7{\times}7cm sized solid mass containing cysts filled with various colored mucoid fluids in the udder. Both uteri were distended greatly with white-yellowish watery fluids and their serosal surfaces were translucent. Characteristic micyoscopic findings in the mass of the udder showed great expansion of the mammary lobule and stroma and complete replacement of the glandular elements by prolifaration of myoepithelial cells. The mucosa of the uterus showed severe atrophy of the uterine epithelium.
