1. Objectives The primary purpose of this case study is to report that a Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome Patient Diagnosed as Gout was treated with 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)' and then his symptoms and Laboratory test(serum) improved. 2. Methods We diagnosed him as Gout on Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome. So we treated his with 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)'. 3. Results and Conclusions The constitutional treatment with herb-medicine(Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散) on Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome Patient Diagnosed as Gout, his symptoms and Laboratory test(serum) improved. 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)' may take efffect Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to give an account of the effects of Korean herbal medicine therapy which is based on Sasang constitutional medicine for two patients who were suffering from Yin Exhausted Syndrome. 2. Mothods Patients were diagnosed as having Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndromes by Physical characteristics, posture, and symptoms and were evaluated with an interview and laboratory test after Sasang constitutional medication. 3. Result After the Sasang constitutional medications of Hyungbangsabek-san(荊防瀉白散), Hyungbangjihwang-tang(荊防地黃湯), Juhryungchajunja-tang(猪笭車前子湯), Shihochungjang-tang(柴胡淸腸湯) were used diarrhea and other symptoms were improved. 4. Conclusions These case studies show an efficient result of using Sasang traditional medicine in the treatment of Yin Exhausted Syndrome.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the development of theory of the deficiency of yin-yang in the spleen-stomach(脾胃). The spleen-stomach theory is a very valuable composition of the oriental medicine. Its first theoretical basis was established by Li Dong Yuan(李東垣) who wrote Piweilun("脾胃論"). He insisted the importance of spleen yang(脾陽) which is the "postnatal base of life" by transforming and transporting of food essence and fluids and raises the clear. After him, his theory had influenced many descendant medical men. one of them, Ye Tian Shi(葉天士) found out the differences of between stomach and spleen. Especially he focused on the stomach yin(胃陰) which is easy to be exhausted by dry-fire(燥火). And he also made another remedy, "the stomach yang should be moved well(宣通胃陽)", which emphasize on that cold and stagnant cause the deficiency of the stomach yang. After that, spleen yin(脾陰) theory was set up by Tang Zong Hai(唐宗海). His spleen yin(脾陰) was deeply related with digestive enzymes and pancreas, because his theory was established by comparing oriental and western medicine. These four theories became the theoretical basis of the deficiency of yin-yang in the spleen-stomach(脾胃), and similar symptom of the spleen-stomach(脾胃) could be categorized according to the pattern identification(辨證) which was developed from these four theory.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study was to search the descriptions of feces in the text of Lee, Je-Ma for the physiological feces and pathological feces in constitutional medicine. 2. Methods We searched the descriptions of feces mentioned in the text of $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowonsasangchobongwon$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowongabobon$\lrcorner$, and $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowonsinchukbon$\lrcorner$ and classified the feces into physiological feces and pathological feces by the solidity, color, impurities of feces, and the frequency of defecation. 3. Results For Soyangin and Taeyangin, there are formal descriptions of feces related to the constipation in Dongyisusebowon sasang chobongwon, but for Soeumin and Taeumin, there is not formal description of feces related to the constipation in $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowonsasangchobongwon$\lrcorner$ and for all 4 Type Constitution, there are various formal descriptions of feces related to the diarrhea in $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowonsasangchobongwon$\lrcorner$. For all 4 Type Constitution, there are various formal descriptions of feces related to the constipation in $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowongabobon$\lrcorner$, except Taeumin. and for all 4 Type Constitution, yhere are various formal descriptions of feces related to the diarrhea in $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowongabobon$\lrcorner$. For Soeumin, especially there are the formal descriptions of color and impurities of feces. For all 4 Type Constitution, there are various formal descriptions of feces related to the constipation and the diarrhea in $\ulcorner$Dongyisusebowonsinchukbon$\lrcorner$. For Soeumin, especially there are formal descriptions of color and impurities of feces. 4. Conclusions The diarrhea in Soeumin is serious illness rather than the constipation, and the constipation in Soyangin is serious illness rather than diarrhea. Especially In Yin Exhausted Syndrome in Soyangin, the diarrhea is the important standard of diagnosis in Soyangin's constitutional symptom. The description of feces in Taeumin is not systematic, compared with Soeumin's and Soyangin's. The description of feces in Taeyangin is not yet scientifically established compared with Soeumin's, Soyangin's, Taeumin's.
