Based on fundamental properties and machining characteristics of Yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera L.), it has well performance on machinability or workability, drying, and fine surface. Additionally, yellow poplar is light weight and has bright color with high performance of bending processing, so it could be used for furniture or artworks materials and wood-based panel materials. Recently, public attention has been focused on indoor air quality, and Ministry of environment drift more tight regulation on indoor air quality for an apartment house and public facility with the times. Construction materials has been assessed emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde according to law (No.10789), so yellow poplar is also needed to assess these emission characteristics. Emission of VOC and aldehyde compounds from dry and green wood condition of yellow poplar were investigated with KS M 1998:2009. Based on results, more than 30 compounds were detected from yellow poplar, and lower NVOC (natural VOC) were emitted than AVOC (Anthropogenic VOC) and OVOC (other VOC). Formaldehyde emission was lower than $5{\mu}g/m^3$ and acetaldehyde, ketone, and propionaldehyde were detected from yellow poplar. From dry yellow poplar, m-Tolualdehyde ($33.6{\mu}g/m^3$) was additionally detected while no detection of propionaldehyde. After drying process, amount of ketone emission increased significantly. The unique smell of yellow poplar may not only come from emission of acetaldehyde and propionaldehyde.
$NaLa_{1-x}{(MoO_4)}_2$:$Ho^{3+}/Yb^{3+}$ phosphors with the correct doping concentrations of $Ho^{3+}$ and $Yb^{3+}$ ($x=Ho^{3+}+Yb^{3+}$, $Ho^{3+}=0.05$ and $Yb^{3+}=0.35$, 0.40, 0.45 and 0.50) were successfully synthesized by the microwave-modified sol-gel method. Well-crystallized particles formed after heat-treatment at $900^{\circ}C$ for 16 h showed a fine and homogeneous morphology with particle sizes of $3-5{\mu}m$. The optical properties were examined using photoluminescence emission and Raman spectroscopy. Under excitation at 980 nm, the UC intensities of the doped samples exhibited strong yellow emissions based on the combination of strong emission bands at 545-nm and 655-nm emission bands in green and red spectral regions, respectively. The strong 545-nm emission band in the green region corresponds to the $^5S_2/^5F_4{\rightarrow}^5I_8$ transition in $Ho^{3+}$ ions, while the strong emission 655-nm band in the red region appears due to the $^5F_5{\rightarrow}^5I_8$ transition in $Ho^{3+}$ ions. Pump power dependence and Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage chromaticity of the upconversion emission intensity were evaluated in detail.
We have synthesized a $Eu^{2+}-activated\;{(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_4$ yellow phosphor and investigated the development of blue LEDs by combining the phosphor with a InGaN blue LED chip (${\lambda}_{em}$=405 nm). The InGaN-based ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ LED lamp shows two bands at 405 nm and 550 nm. The 405 nm emission band is due to a radiative recombination from a InGaN active layer. This 405 nm emission was used as an optical transition of the ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ phosphor. The 550 nm emission band is ascribed to a radiative recombination of $Eu^{2+}$ impurity ions in the ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_4$ host matrix. In the preparation of UV Yellow LED Lamp with ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ yellow phosphor, the highest luminescence efficiency was obtained at the epoxy-to-yellow phosphor ratio of 1:0.45. At this ratio, the CIE chromaticity was x=0.4097 and y=0.5488.

We studied the effect of ITO surface treatment by using $O_2$ plasma to enhance the emission efficiency of the Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). The luminance efficiency and the operational stability were improved with an ITO anode treated at the optimized conditions.
The color shifting from yellow to green of electroluminescent emission from ZnS: Cu alternating current thick film electroluminescent (ACTFEL) devices has been achieved by changing the Mg composition in the phosphor layers. The commission international de l'Eclairge (CIE) color co-ordinates of the ACTFEL devices prepared from these phosphor layers show a shifting from yellow (x=0.45, y=0.52) towards green (x=0.36, y=0.58). The various parameters influencing the emission intensity were also investigated.
ZnO is a wide-bandgap II-VI semiconductor and has a variety of potential application. ZnO exhibits good piezoelectric, photoelectric and optic properties, and is good for a electroluminescence device. ZnO films have been deposited at (0001) shappire by PLD technique. Chamber was evacuated by turbomolecular pump to a base pressure of $1{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr Nd:YAG pulsed laser was operated at ${\lambda}=355nm$. The ZnO films were deposited at oxygen pressures from base to 500 mTorr. The substrate temperatures was increased from $200^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$. At aleady works, UV emission and green-yellow PL was observed. In this work, ZnO films showed UV, violet, green and yellow emissions. UV emission was enhanced by increasing partial oxygen pressure. We investigated relationship between partial oxygen pressure and UV emission.

We explain optical and electrical properties of top and bottom-emission structured alternating-current powder electroluminescent devices (ACPELDs) with Ga-doped ZnO(GZO) transparent electrode. The top-emission ACPELDs were layered as the metal electrode/dielectric layer/emission layer/top transparent electrode and the bottom-emission ACPELDs were structured as the bottom transparent electrode/emission layer/dielectric layer/metal electrode. The yellow-emitting ZnS:Mn, Cu phosphor and the barium titanate dielectric layers were layered through the screen printing method. The GZO transparent electrode was deposited by the sputtering, its sheet resistivity is $275{\Omega}/{\Box}$. The transparency at the yellow EL peak was 98 % for GZO. Regardless of EL structures, EL spectra of ACPELDs were exponentially increased with increasing voltages and they were linearly increased with increasing frequencies. It suggests that the EL mechanism was attributed to the impact ionization by charges injected from the interface between emitting phosphor layer and the transparent electrode. The top-emission structure obtained higher EL intensity than the bottom-structure. In addition, charge densities for sinusoidal applied voltages were measured through Sawyer-Tower method.

This paper is second part on the auditory thresholds and fish behaviors to the underwater sounds for luring of target species at the set-net in the coast of Cheju. In order to obtain the critical ratio of yellow tails(Seriola quinqueradiata) and the emission level of underwater sound for luring of them, we make experiments to measure the auditory threshold of them using conditioning with electric shock. In state that the white noise with 10dB higher sound pressure level than ambient noise is emitted, the auditory thresholds of yellow tails are measured with 100~116.5dB and they are higher than those in state of no emission of white noise by the masking effects of it. Although sound pressure level of background noise go down, the auditory thresholds go up with frequency above than 300Hz.The critical ratio of yellow-tails in frequency of 80Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz, 500Hz, 800Hz are 46dB, 40dB, 50dB, 52dB, 60dB, 70dB respectively. The sound pressure level of which the signal sound is recognized by yellow tails under the ambient noise is above 100dB and the critical ratio of them is above 40dB.

Single-phase yellow phosphor, $CaGd_{2-x}ZrSc(AlO_4)_3:xCe^{3+}$ ($CGZSA:Ce^{3+}$), possessing cubic symmetry with varied $Ce^{3+}$ concentrations, was synthesized using the solid-state reaction method. The samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), excitation spectra, emission spectra, thermal quenching, and decay curves. The cubic phase of $CGZSA:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor was confirmed via XRD analysis. The photoluminescence spectra of $CGZSA:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor demonstrated that the phosphor could be excited at the wavelength of 440 nm; a broad yellow emission band was centered at 541 nm. These results indicate that the phosphors are adequately excited by blue light and have the potential to function as yellow-emitting phosphors for applications in white light-emitting diodes.
Depending on host environments, $Eu^{2+}$ emission can be spectrally tuned by manipulating the energy levels between allowed $4f{\leftrightarrow}5d$ transition. Spectral variations of $Eu^{2+}$ emission from narrow green emission to broad yellow emission band were achieved by varying the host lattices such as Sr- or Ba-silicate, borate, and borosilicate.
