X-선 형광분석법에 의한 포틀란드 시멘트의 정량분석 (X-ray Fluorescence Analysis of Chemical Ingredients for Portland Cement)

  • X-선 형광분석법을 사용하여 표준검정곡선법으로 시멘트 중의 주, 부성분들을 정량하고 습식법과 분석결과를 비교하였다. 이때, 표준시료 및 미지시료는 용융 케스트 비드법으로 준비하였다. 표준시멘트(227A372)의 오차분석결과 주성분인 CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3 및 부성분중의 MgO, SrO는 상대오차가 1% 이내이었으며, 부성분중 So3, K2O, TiO2, Na2O P2O5 및 Mn2O3는 5% 이하의 상대오차를 가졌다. 부성분의 상대오차는 시료준비오차가 가장 큰 부분을 차지하였다. X-선 형광분석과 습식분석을 비교한 결과 시멘트 분석의 측정값간의 최대혀용범위를 만족하므로, X-선 형광분석법을 시멘트 화학분석에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 그리고, 기존의 습식법으로 분석하기 어려운 시멘트내에 존재하는 미량성분인 P2O5, SrO 및 Mn2O3 의 정밀정확한 분석 또한 가능하였다.

  • The effect of B2O3 addition on the sintering behavior dielectric and ferroelectric properties of Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 ceramics were investigated. The sample with 0.5wt% B2O3 was sintered under 115$0^{\circ}C$. The dielectric and ferroelectric properties of BST with 0.5wt% B2O3 was as good as BST without B2O3 sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$ and its dielectric loss was even better When B2O3 was added over 1.0wt% the overdoped B2O3 remained in the specimens and formed a second phase which degraded the sintering behaivor dielectric properties of BST.

  • $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ ceramics was obtained by the co-precipitation method using $Al_2(SO_4)_2$.$18H_2O$ and $ZrOCl_2$.$8H_2O$ as starting materials $MgCl_2$.$6H_2O$ as a sintering aid and NH4OH as a hydrolyzing agent. The coprecipitate from the above raw materials was calcined at 125$0^{\circ}C$ for 1h and again sintered at 1$650^{\circ}C$ for 2h before measurements of strength hardness and fracture toughness. MgO addition was found to increase mechanical properties of the $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ system. The strength and frac-ture toughness of $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ ceramics were considered to be increased by stress-induced phase tranforma-tion of $ZrO_2$.

씨앗발아 및 발아지수에 근거한 나노입자 독성평가 (Toxicity Assessment of Nanopariticles Based on Seed Germination and Germination Index)

  • 나노물질은 다양한 분야에 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Lactuca(상추)와 Raphanus(알타리무) 씨앗의 발아와 발아지수에 금속산화물 나노입자(CuO, NiO, $Fe_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$, $TiO_2$, ZnO)가 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 용액상 노출에서 CuO가 가장 큰 영향을 나타내었으며, 발아와 발아지수의 $EC_{50}$는 각 0.46 mg/L와 0.37%로 조사되었다. 씨앗 이용 식물독성 측정에서 상추가 알타리무보다 나노입자 노출에 대해 더욱 민감한 반응을 나타내었다. 일반적으로 나노입자의 씨앗발아와 발아지수에 근거한 영향은 다음의 순서로 조사되었다: CuO > ZnO >NiO > $TiO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$. 특히 $TiO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$$Co_3O_4$는 최대 노출 농도 1,000 mg/L 농도에서도 뚜렷한 영향을 나타내지 않았다.

  • The electrical resistivity of the ceramic glaze coated on ceramic substrate plays an important role on the characteristics of the thick and thin film electrical circuits. In this study the effects of the various modifiers on the electrical resistivity were examined in SiO2-Al2O3-B2O3-RO-Na2O (RO=CaO , SrO, BaO, PbO) glass system. In alkali free glasses where divalent cations are responsible for electrical conduction the electrical conductivity of th glasses increased with the ionic size of divalent cations due to the decrease in the bond strength between oxyben and divalent cation. In Na2O containing glasses however where Na+ ion is responsible for electrical conduction the ionic conductivity decreased with the ionic size of divalent cations because the blocking effect of the cations on Na+ ion movement increased with larger divalent cations. Na+ ionic conduction also depended on the glass structure relaxation due to the corrdination number changes of B2O3 and Al2O3 which varied with the NaO2 content in the glass.

금속 산화물이 도자기 소지중 SiO$_2$상 생성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of metal oxides on the types of SiO$_2$ Phase of vitreous porcelain body)

  • 자기질 도자기 소지조성에 필수적으로 함유되는 부산화물들($K_2O, MgO, CaO,Al_2O_3$, 그리고 $TiO_2$)이 순수한 $SiO_2$의 상형태에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 장석, 도석, 카올린, 그리고 점토를 이용하여 조합된 자기질 도자기 소지 조성에서 $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$의 비를 조정하여 안정화된 $\beta$-cristobalite 상을 갖는 도자기 소지 조성을 개발하였으며, 여기에 첨가된 부산화물들이 $SiO_2$의 상형태에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. $SiO_2$$K_2$O와 MgO를 첨가할 경우 준안정한 주상은 $\alpha$-cristobalite, CaO와 $Al_2$O$_3$를 첨가할 경우 $\alpha$-quartz, 그리고 $TiO_2$를 첨가할 경우는 비정질상이었다. 장석, 도석, 카올린, 그리고 점토를 사용하여 조합한 도자기 소지에서 $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$비가 작아질 수록 $\beta$-cristobalite 상의 안정화가 촉진되었으며, $\beta$-cristobalite 상이 안정화되는 임계의 $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$의 비는 68.10/22.75이었다. Cristobalite 상이 안정화된 실용 도자기 조성에 부산화물들이 첨가될 경우 $\alpha$, $\beta$-cristobalite 상생성이 억제되었다.

  • Gas sensing materials for detecting flammable gases such as $CH_4$, $C_3H_8$ and n-$C_4H_{10}$ were developed by util-izing $In_2O_3$ as the principal sensing material. The sensing materials were formulated by mixing $In_2O_3$ powder with one or two other chemicals such as $SnO_2$, $Y_2O_3$ and $Al_2O_3$ with a small addition of $PdCl_2$ as a catalyst. Sample of sensor were fabricated by coating each of the mixtures on a ceramic tube impregnating ethylsili-cate and firing at 75$0^{\circ}C$ Each material mixture was evaluated by measuring and comparing gas sensitivity(resistance in air/resistance with gas) to flammable gases such as $CH_4$, $C_3H-8$ and n-$C_4H_{10}$. It was found that among fifteen compositions tested three compositions as follows show the highest gas sensitivity and thus are very feasible for commercialization as the gas sensors ; o49.5 $In_2O_3$+50 Al2O3_0.5 PdCl2(wt%) o $20In_2O_3+29$ $SnO_2+50$ $Al_2O_3+1$ $PdCl_2$(wt%) o40 $In_2O_3$+9 $Y_2O_3+50$ $Al_2O_3+1$ $PdCl_2$(wt%)

${\gamma}$-$6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ 결정을 포함하는 복합다결정체의 작성 (Preparation of Composite Polycrystals Including ${\gamma}$-$6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2$)

  • Composite polycrystals including ${\gamma}$-$6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ crystal which have needlelike regular structure are useful for the high resolution optical devices. For the purpose of obtaining the composite polycrystals described above the melts of eutectic composition in the three eutectic systems including $6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ composition were unidirectionally solidified at a rate of 0.05 and 0.25 cm/h under a thermal gradient of 10$0^{\circ}C$/m. Composite polycrystals of relatively regular structure in which needlelike ${\gamma}$-$6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ crystals were arrayed in parallel with $2Bi_2O_3$.$B_2O_3$ crystal matrix were obtained when the eutectic melt of $6Bi_2O_3$.$SiO_2 -2Bi_2O_3$.$B_2O_3$ system was solidified at a rate of 0.25 cm/h. Partial structural irregularity however was found in the obtained composite polycrystals.

  • 특별히 제작한 영동장치를 써서 8면체 구조의 (Ruc $l_{6}$)$^{3-}$ 를 여과지 전기영동 분리하였다. 자지전해질 용액은 다음과 같다. 0.1M-HCl $O_4$, 0.05M-HCl+0.09M-KCI, 0.1M-HCl, 5$\times$$10^{-3}$M-NTA, 0.01M-HCl, 0.01M-HCl $O_4$, 0.01M-시트르산, 0.01M-K $H_2$P $O_4$+0.01M-$Na_2$HP $O_4$, 0.05M-붕사, 0.025M-$Na_2$C $O_3$+0.025M-NaHC $O_3$, 0.01M-$Na_3$P $O_4$, 0.01M-NaOH, 0.1M-NaOH. (Ruc $l_{6}$)$^{3-}$ 은 2-4피크로 나타내며 다음 화학종으로 확인된다. (RuCl($H_2O$)$_{5}$ )$^{2+}$, cis- 및 trans-(RuC $l_2$($H_2O$)$_4$)$^{1+}$ , (RuC $l_3$($H_2O$)$_3$)$^{0}$ , (RuC $l_4$($H_2O$)$_2$)$^{1-}$, (RuC $l_{5}$ ($H_2O$))$^{2-}$ , (RuC $l_{6}$)$^{3-}$ . 리텐숀 값은 0.025M-$Na_2$C $O_3$+0.025M-NaHC $O_3$ 전해질 용액에서 가장 높다.

  • A general synthetic method to make $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ (activated magnetite) is the reduction of $Fe_3O_4$ by $H_2$ atmosphere. However, this process has an explosion risk. Therefore, we studied the process of synthesis of $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ depending on heat-treatment conditions using $FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ in Ar atmosphere. The thermal decomposition characteristics of $FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ and the ${\delta}$-value of $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ were analyzed with TG/DTA in Ar atmosphere. ${\beta}-FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ was synthesized by precipitation method using $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ and $(NH_4)_2C_2O_4{\cdot}H_2O$. The concentration of the solution was 0.1 M and the equivalent ratio was 1.0. ${\beta}-FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ was decomposed to $H_2O$ and $FeC_2O$4 from $150^{\circ}C$ to $200^{\circ}C$. $FeC_2O4$ was decomposed to CO, $CO_2$, and $Fe_3O_4$ from $200^{\circ}C$ to $250^{\circ}C$. Single phase $Fe_3O_4$ was formed by the decomposition of ${\beta}-FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ in Ar atmosphere. However, $Fe_3C$, Fe and $Fe_4N$ were formed as minor phases when ${\beta}-FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ was decomposed in $N_2$ atmosphere. Then, $Fe_3O_4$ was reduced to $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ by decomposion of CO. The reduction of $Fe_3O_4$ to $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ progressed from $320^{\circ}C$ to $400^{\circ}C$; the reaction was exothermic. The degree of exothermal reaction was varied with heat treatment temperature, heating rate, Ar flow rate, and holding time. The ${\delta}$-value of $Fe_3O_{4-{\delta}}$ was greatly influenced by the heat treatment temperature and the heating rate. However, Ar flow rate and holding time had a minor effect on ${\delta}$-value.
