  • In this study, conventional head-end processes of spent TRISO fuel have been reviewed to develope more effective treatment methods. The main concerns in the TRISO treatment are to effectively separate the carbon and SiC contained in the TRISO particles. The crush-burn scheme which was considered in the early stages of the development has been replaced by the crush-leach process because of $^{14}C$ problems as a second waste being generated during the process. However, there are still many obstacles to overcome in the reported processes. Hence, innovative thermomechanical concepts and a molten salt electrochemical approach to breach the coating layers of the TRISO particle with a minimized amount of second waste are proposed in this paper and their principles are described in detail.

  • Fluorene-based light emitting polymer blends with liquid crystalline characteristics were studied on effective energy transfer and dichroic characteristics. Incorporating 0.5 wt% of the non-liquid crystalline into the liquid crystalline polymer suppressed the PL emission at 420 nm on photoexcitation at 360 nm, but generated a new PL emission of the non-liquid crystalline polymer at 480 nm. The highest PL intensity at 480 nm, which was 13 times stronger than those of the two polymers before blending, was observed for a blend with 2.0 wt% of the non-liquid crystalline polymer. When the molecules of the blends were aligned on a rubbed polyimide surface by a heating-cooling process, the dichroic ratio and the order parameter were 2.0 and 0.25, respectively. Time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) study revealed that the time required for energy transfer between the two chromophores was shortened by 93 ps when the blends were aligned on the rubbed polyimide surface by the heating-cooling process. The thermal treatment also enhanced the energy transfer efficiency by 9%.

Data was compiled based on female consumers in their 20s and 30s who actively participate in online community forums. It included female consumers preparing for their weddings and individuals interested in weddings. A total of 211 questionnaires were collected from January $10^{th}$ to $23^{rd}$ in 2012. The online communities were identified from Naver, Yahoo, and online search portals; subsequently, they were rank-sorted based on number of members, visitors, and forum posts. We identified four different characteristic based on the findings from the analysis of on-line wedding communities. The characteristic of these communities were divided into sharing experience, functionality of the webpage, informativeness, and interactivity; consequently, use of these online communities is based on trust and significant personal relationships between the members online. Out of the four different community characteristics, sharing experience was found to have a greater impact for the selective behavior of wedding dresses and information- acceptance than the functionality of the webpage, interactivity, and informativeness. We conclude that trust in information provided by members with marriage process experience is the foremost important factor in the behavior of individual consumers wit iexplore.exe -extoff hout marriage process experience. Therefore, the impact of these online communities catering to would-be brides is based on the trust of posters and how well it is articulated.

  • In this study, we used the hybrid module that was composed of granular activated carbons (GAC) packing between module inside and outside of tubular ceramic microfiltration membrane for advanced drinking water treatment. Instead of natural organic matters (NOM) and fine inorganic particles in natural water source, modified solution was prepared with humic acid and kaolin. $N_2$-back-flushing of 10 sec was performed per every period of 10 min to minimize membrane fouling and to improve permeate flux (J). As a result, resistance of membrane fouling ($R_f$) decreased and J increased as concentration of humic acid changed from 10 mg/L to 2 mg/L step by step, and finally the highest total permeate volume ($V_T$) could be obtained at 2 mg/L. Then, treatment efficiencies of turbidity and $UV_{254}$ absorbance were excellent above 99.36% and 97.19%, respectively, but that of $UV_{254}$ absorbance for only microfiltration without GAC at 10 mg/L of humic acid was decreased a little as 90.84%.

  • The microstructural evolution of AA1050/AA6061 complex aluminum alloy, which is fabricated using an accumulative roll-bonding (ARB) process, with the proceeding of ARB, was investigated by electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD) analysis. The specimen after one cycle exhibited a deformed structure in which the grains were elongated to the rolling direction for all regions in the thickness direction. With the proceeding of the ARB, the grain became finer; the average grain size of the as received material was $45{\mu}m$; however, it became $6.3{\mu}m$ after one cycle, $1.5{\mu}m$ after three cycles, and $0.95{\mu}m$ after five cycles. The deviation of the grain size distribution of the ARB processed specimens decreased with increasing number of ARB cycles. The volume fraction of the high angle grain boundary also increased with the number of ARB cycles; it was 43.7% after one cycle, 62.7% after three cycles, and 65.6% after five cycles. On the other hand, the texture development was different depending on the regions and the materials. A shear texture component {001}<110> mainly developed in the surface region, while the rolling texture components {011}<211> and {112}<111> developed in the other regions. The difference of the texture between AA1050 and AA6061 was most obvious in the surface region; {001}<110> component mainly developed in AA1050 and {111}<110> component in AA6061.

  • The power of semiconductor, Korea is continuously constructing semiconductor production line for keeping a front-runner status. however, studies and data about potential risks in semiconductor factory are still short. If fire does not initially suppressed, the fire causes a great damage. To decrease fire risk factors, in addition to fire fighting safety equipment, more important thing is how to design and construct fire protection system. The current fire protection codes about semiconductor factory come under functional law, and this law is short of consideration about particularity of factory. The existing prescriptive fire codes depending on experience compose without evident engineering verifications, thus equipments which is created by the current prescriptive fire code may bring about a variety of problems. For example, the design under the current regulation can not cope with the excessive investments, low efficiencies, and the diversifying construction designs and be applied to the quick changes of new technologies. Ergo, an optimal design for fire protection is to equip fire protection arrangements with condition and environment of production field. Manufacturing factory of semiconductors is a windowless airtight space. And for cleanliness, there exists strong flow of cooperation. Therefore, there is a need for fire safety design that meets the characteristic of a clean room. Accordingly, we are to derive smoke flow according to cooperation process within a clean room and construction plan of an optimal sensor system. In this study, in order to confirm the performance of proposed smoke-exhaust equipment and suggest efficient smoke exhaust device when there is a fire of 1MW of methane in the clean room of company H, we have implemented fire simulation using fluid dynamics computation.

  • This study is research about coinage and interpretation of Japanese Menus in luxury hotels in Seoul. Japanese Menus consist of three categories. These can be expressed A+B+C groupings. A represents Ingredients, C represents the cooking method, while B shows the name of a region(B1), the seasoning(B2), and a word that expresses the shape of the food(B3), etc. B can be flexible in meaning. However, the setting, A+B+C, is not always used strictly for these category meanings. Ingredients, A, is sometimes used independently(ex, ぃくとろろ), and at other times B1 + C, B2 + C or B3 + C are used. Sometimes A+C is used without B. The most general expression is Ingredients + the method for cooking(A+C Type). By knowing the menu description the food type and cooking method can be discovered. Most concrete method is Ingredients + procedure for seasoning + cooking method(A+B2+C Type) show how something is made and what kind of seasoning. This method is frequently used for roasted dishes with seasoning. Food which is expressed by A, Ingredients, does not require a complicated cooking process and is fixed by a conventional cooking process without any explanation ; delicacies(珍味), an hors d'oeuvres(前菜), sushi(Japanese vinegared rice delicacies) and sliced raw fish. There are two obstacles in interpreting Japanese Menus. First, we cannot look up the menu words easily in a dictionary because the mixing of Chinese Characters and the pronunciation of them differs from Korean chinese characters. Secondly, the names of Japanese food are inserted with a name of a place or another symbolic word, so they sometimes cannot be translated. We should offer various and accurate information for foreign customers because various Non-Japanese people use these restaurants frequently. This will enable them to enjoy themselves more comfortably. Therefore, you should decide the words carefully and provide an explanation about the complicated parts of the Menu when you work with Menu copywriter.
