RF Power에 의한 MgO 박막의 구조적 특성

  • In this paper, we have investigated about MgO thin films on Si(100) substrate by RF magnetron Sputtering. MgO thin films were affected by RF input power, gas pressure, gas composition, and substrate temperatures. So, we focused on most effective RF input power in deposition condition. Thickness of MgO thin films was measured by surface profiler. And structural analysis carried out by X-ray Diffraction(XRD). physical characteristic and thickness of thin films changed with RF input power.

  • Organic solvent tolerant bacterium, designated as strain BCNU 106 is a gram negative, rod-shaped aerobe and grows on benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) as a sole carbon source. According to 16S rDNA analysis and fatty acid analysis, strain BCNU 106 showed highest similarity to Pseudomonas syringae var. savastanoi (Pseudomonas savastanoi). Strain BCNU 106 was able to utilize toluene, ethylbenzene, both o-, m-, p-xylene , m-cresol and o-cresol. The degradation of o-, m-, p-xylene by strain BCNU 106 is particularly important, since o-xylene is a compound of considerable environmental interest, owing to its recalcitrance; and very few microorganism have been reported to utilize both o-, m-, p-xylene as a sole carbon source.

  • In this paper, MgO thin films were deposited on Si(100) single crystal substrates by RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of RF power, chamber atmosphere, and substrate temperature on the characteristics of MgO thin films were already studied. Thus, we focused on the working pressure. The structural properties of the films changed dramatically with deposition conditions. Structural analyses carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD). 대전제어제를 이용한 polymer bead의 특성 변화에 관한 연구

  • 대전제어제를 이용하여 양과 음의 전하량을 가지는 토너 입자를 제조하였다. polymer bead와 대전제어제를 각각 용매에 녹인 후 중합하였으며 토너 입자의 크기는 약 $8{\mu}m$로 제조되었고 제조된 토너 입자의 전하질량비를 측정하기 위하여 polymer bead의 전하량과 대전제어제가 중합된 토너 입자의 전하질량비를 측정하여 비교하였다. 양의 전하량을 갖는 토너 입자는 약 34.12uC/g로 측정되었고, 음의 전하량을 갖는 토너 입자는 약 -22.5uC/g으로 측정되었으며, 또한 대전제어제가 가지는 양과 음의 특성에 따라 polymer bead의 특성 또한 바뀌는 것을 관찰 할 수 있었다.

RF-Magnetron sputtering법을 이용한 ZnO buffer layer가 ZnO:(Al,P) 박막의 미세구조에 미치는 영향

  • 최근 디스플레이 산업의 확대에 따라 투명 전도 산화물(Transparent Conducting Oxides:TCOs)의 수요가 급증하고 있다. 이 중 ZnO는 wide bandgap (3.37eV)와 large exciton binding energy (60meV)의 값을 가져 차세대 투명 전도 산화물, LED와 LD 등의 소자 소재로 각광받고 있다. ZnO는 electron을 내어놓는 native defect 때문에 기본적으로 n-type 물성을 띈다. 그래서 dopant를 이용해 p-type ZnO를 제작할 때 native defect를 줄이는 것이 중요한 요점이 된다. 이 때 buffer layer를 사용하여 native defect를 줄이는 방법이 사용되고 있다. 본연구에서는 RF-magnetron sputtering법을 이용하여 c-plane sapphire 기판 위에 다양한 조건의 ZnO buffer layer를 증착하고, 그 위에 ZnO:(Al,P) co-doping한 APZO를 증착하였다. ZnO buffer layer 증착조건의 변수는 증착온도와 Ar:O2의 비율을 변수로 두었다. 이러한 박막을 FE-SEM, XRD, Hall effect measurement, AFM을 통하여 미세구조와 물성을 관찰하였다. 이 때 APZO보다 낮은 증착온도에서 ZnO buffer layer가 증착되면 APZO를 증착하는 동안 chamber 내부에서 열처리하는 효과를 얻게 되고, UHV(Ultra High Vaccum)에서 열처리 될 때 ZnO buffer layer의 mophology와 결정성이 변하게 되는 모습을 관찰아혔다. 또한 본 실험을 통해 ZnO buffer layer의 증착 온도가 APZO의 증착온도보다 높을 때 제어 가능한 실험이 됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • Tin oxide ($SnO_2$) nanoparticles have been synthesized by solution combustion method using citric acid as a fuel. The oxide to fuel ratio has been varied to obtain ultrafine nanoparticles with better surface area; such particles will be useful in many applications. With this synthesis method, spherical particles are formed having a particle size in the range of 11-30 nm and BET surface area of ~ $24m^2/g$. The degree of agglomeration of $SnO_2$ nanoparticles has been calculated.

  • Organic solvent tolerance bacteria, Pseudomonas savastanoi BCNU 106 could utilize a high contentration of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene isomers (BTEX) as a sole carbon source. It was founded that strain BCNU 106 transformed o-xylene to 2-methylbenzyl alcohol, 2-methylbenzoic acid through direct oxygenation of methyl residue on GC-MS analysis.

  • This study sets the boundary of U-City industry based on expert surveys. Based on this U-City industry boundary, an appropriate inter-industry analysis is performed. The result shows production inducement coefficients, value added inducement coefficients, employment & enter employment inducement coefficients, influence coefficients and induction coefficients. Based on these coefficients, overall characteristics and spillover effects of U-City industry are examined. The result of this study shows that U-City industry has bigger value added-induced effects and employee-induced effects than other industry. The result also shows that U-City industry also has a great forward linkage effect. This study has a meaning that could be used to make political decisions as a basic data.

플렉서블 가스 센서 응용을 위한 화학기상증착법 기반 MoO3 박막 합성

  • 산업 발달에 따라 여러 유해 가스들의 양이 많아지고 그 종류가 다양해지고 있다. 이에 따라 가스센서의 필요성도 더욱 증가 하였고, 이러한 변화에 대응하기 위해 기존 가스 센서로 이용되던 $SnO_2$나 ZnO보다 더 나은 화학정 안정성과 내구성을 얻고자 2D $MoO_3$ 박막의 대면적 합성을 연구를 진행하였다. 기존 $MoO_3$ 합성에 사용되던 Pyrolysis 방식이 아닌, 플라즈마 화학기상증착법(PECVD)을 이용해 공정과정을 단순화시켜 센서 수율 증대를 목표로 하였다. E-beam avaporator을 이용해 Mo 금속 박막을 $SnO_2$ 기판 위에 증착시킨 후 $O_2$ 플라즈마를 이용한 Implantation 방식으로 박막을 합성하였고, 라만 분광법, X-ray 광전자 분광법(XPS)을 통해 $MoO_3$ 박막이 nm단위로 합성된 것을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 $MoO_3$ 박막을 2D 가스센서의 소재로 적용하는 것이 가능할 것이라고 예상된다.

Metallography of Iron Slag Excavated from Bongsan-dong, Yeosu City in the Period of the 16th to 19th Century (여수 봉산동 출토의 사철 쇠똥에 대하여)

  • Chemical analysis and metallographic observations of the iron slag were carried out in an attempt to estimate the old iron-making process. The slag containing $9.3\%\;TiO_2$ without Cu indicates that the ore used for smelting was sand iron, not rock ore. The phases identified in the slag were $ulv\ddot{o}spinel$, magnetite, $w\ddot{u}stite$, fayalite etc. This also supports the fact that the smelted ore was iron sand. The total amount of Fe and slag-making components$(=SiO_2+Al_2O_3+MgO+CaO)$ were $40.7\%\;and\;36.1\%$, respectively. These values were average ones found in the old slags formed in the ancient iron-making process. Assuming that $TiO_2$ in the ore combines with FeO, resulting in the formation of $ulv\ddot{o}spinel$, the estimated temperature of smelting was found to be about $1200^{\circ}C$.
