A Query Processing Technique for XML Fragment Stream using XML Labeling (XML 레이블링을 이용한 XML 조각 스트림에 대한 질의 처리 기법)

  • In order to realize ubiquitous computing, it is essential to efficiently use the resources and the computing power of mobile devices. Among others, memory efficiency, energy efficiency, and processing efficiency are required in executing the softwares embedded in mobile devices. In this paper, query processing over XML data in a mobile device where resources are limited is addressed. In a device with limited amount of memory, the techniques of XML. stream query processing need to be employed to process queries over a large volume of XML data Recently, a technique Galled XFrag was proposed whereby XML data is fragmented with the hole-filler model and streamed in fragments for processing. With XFrag, query processing is possible in the mobile device with limited memory without reconstructing the XML data out of its fragment stream. With the hole-filler model, however, memory efficiency is not high because the additional information on holes and fillers needs to be stored. In this paper, we propose a new technique called XFLab whereby XML data is fragmented with the XML labeling scheme which is for representing the structural relationship in XML data, and streamed in fragments for processing. Through implementation and experiments, XML showed that our XFLab outperformed XFrag both in memory usage and processing time.

Transformation Methodology to Logical Model from Conceptual Model of XML (XML의 개념적 모델로부터 논리적 모델로의 변환 기법)

  • In these days, XML is a de facto standard language for representing and exchanging data. In order to define the conceptual model of the XML, we need to define the representation rules expressed in the diagram and propose the transformation algorithm that converts the diagram into a logical model of XML. This paper proposes a transformation methodology for generating a logical model from the conceptual model of the XML. We use CMXML as a conceptual model and generate XML schema definition as a logical model. For this, we define transformation rules and data structures for XML schema, and propose a transformation algorithm.

  • Because XML is a W3C standard and has characteristics like platform-independent, it has a critical role in e-commerce. Business rules and procedures should be standardized for efficient B2B integration, But a lot of companies are its own XML documents instead of standard document, Therefore many organizations try to make standards for e-commerce based on framework. Also, in case use supply chain administration system, because document transmit between corporation use on-line, need messaging system that can transfer XML message In this paper, XML messaging system is designed and implemented. Client requests service in XML and server returns response in XML in this system, So we con more easily and efficiently to exchange document between company this XML messaging system.

  • The widespreading of XML as a standard for semi-structured documents on the Web opens up challenging opportunities for Web query language. And UML is a graphical language to represent the result of object-oriented analysis and design. In this paper, we introduce an UML-based graphical query language for XML documents. The use of a visual formalism for representing the syntax and semantics of queries enables an intuitive expression of queries, even when they are rather complex. And, it is matched a series of processes to store and retrieve XML documents to OODBMS with the use of an uniform visualization for representing both the content of XML documents (and of their DTD) and the syntax and semantics of queries.

Efficient Structural Information Extraction for XML Data (XML데이터를 위한 효율적인 구조 정보 추출 기법)

  • There has been an increasing interest in n since it is spotlighted as the standard for data representation and exchange in the Web. The structural information for XML documents serves several important purposes. In spite of its importance, the schema is not mandatory for XML documents. Thus, much research to extract structural information for XML document has been conducted. In this paper, we present a technique for efficient extraction of concise and accurate DTD for XML documents. By restriction of DTD content model using the mixed content model of DTD and XML Schema as well as applying some heuristic rules proposed in this paper, we achieve the efficiency and conciseness. The result of an experiment with real life DTDs shows that our approach is superior to existing approaches.

  • 지리정보시스템(GIS)의 사용이 확대되고 있는 현재 상황에서 다양한 분야에서 구축되어 서로 다른 환경에 분산되어 있는 이질적인 지리 데이타의 공유에 대한 중요성은 더욱 증가하고 있는데, 이러한 상호운용성을 지원하기 위하여 개발된 것이 OGC의 OpenGIS이다. OGC는 다양한 분야에서 차세대 표준으로 주목받고 있는 XML을 GIS에 도입하려는 움직임으로 GML 사양을 제시하고 있다. 향후 사용이 더욱 증가하게 될 XML 문서 형태의 지리 데이타에 대한 GIS 사용자들의 접근을 허용하기 위해서 OpenGIS를 지원하는 XML 데이타 제공자의 설계 및 구현이 절실히 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 OGC의 세 가지 구현 사양 중 특히 Microsoft의 OLE/COM을 기반으로 하는 OpenGIS Simple Features Specification for OLE/COM 사양과 지리 데이타의 XML 인코딩을 위한 GML 사양을 기반으로 XML 데이타 제공자를 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 XML 데이타 제공자는 표준화된 지리 데이타 구조와 처리에 대한 인터페이스를 지원하여 상호운용성을 보장하고, XML 기술을 활용하여 XML데이타의 효율적인 분석 기능도 제공한다. 따라서 XML 데이타 제공자를 사용함으로써 표준화된 DTD를 따르는 XML 문서내의 지리 데이터를 OpenGIS를 지원하는 이질의 데이타 소스의 지리 데이타와 함께 공유할 수 있고, XML 문서의 구조를 효율적으로 검증할 수 있으며, 또한 XML 데이타에 대한 접근 및 분석이 가능하게 된다.

  • As XML has been proposed a standard format for organizing and exchanging data in the internet, many applications on managing XML data have been developed. Especially, there are many studies for storing XML documents. It is important to evaluate the performance for efficient storage techniques. In this work, we suggest an efficient technique for storing XML documents using an object-relational database model. We verify the efficiency of a new storage technique through the performance evaluation on XML storage techniques. The contributions of this paper is that we suggest an efficient storage technique using an existing data management model and evaluate the performance for storage techniques for XML documents including an new storage technique.

  • Study related to a system that saves a n document, and to search is consisting actively and has a lot of cases to have left emphasis in the function that these systems efficiently save a XML document and can search. Also, It has a table or the storage structure which was especially designed in order to save a XML document and can save structure information of a document in addition to contents of a XML document together and can efficiently do content retrieval of a XML document or a structure search with an early base. As for this paper, a design implemented the data which the many different kinds of database that had currently used had with you so that did recycling and shared conversion and this XML file in Web, and output can become a XML format through various interrace.

  • XML used rapid method of meta language representation in internet for information transmission. In addition to XML Schema used frequency specification to variety data type. This thesis designed to Simple Type meta model of XML schema using UML. But because structure of XML schema complicate and suppose variety data type we can recognize many difficult matter to user's apprehension and application of model properties that appeared UML. To way out of this matter this study could specified clearly to structured expression in XML schema meta model that is applied OCL specification and together, come up with method of detailed design to parse tree and token generation for lexical and symmentics analysis in compile step on this study foundation.

  • XML은 기존 HTML의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 새로운 기술로 다양한 응용분야에 활용되고 있으며 많은 응용 제품들이 개발되고 있다. XML편집기, XSL편집기, XML브라우져, XML저장 관리기, XML문서 저장 관리기, XML문서 검색기, XML Conversion Tool등의 다양한 XML응용 프로그램에서 사용할 수 있는 표준 라이브러리 API인 DOM(Document Object Model)과 SAX(Simple API for XML)를 지원하며 XML문서의 모든 구성요소에 대한 처리를 할 수 있는 파서가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 다양한 응용 프로그램의 요구사항을 분석하고 이를 반영하여 처리할 수 있는 XML Toolkit모델을 제시한다. 본 XML Toolkit은 W3C XML 1.0스펙과 W3C Namespaces in XML스펙과 W3C DOM Level 1스펙을 지원하며 XML사용자 그룹에서 정의한 SAX를 지원한다. 또한 표준 API로 접근할 수 없거나 그 기능이 표준에서 정의되지 않은 추가 기능을 제공하기 위한 XML문서의 내부자료구조를 정의하고 이의 처리를 위한 API를 제공한다.
