선형대향타겟 스퍼터를 이용하여 성막시킨 InSnTiO 박막의 특성 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 선형 대향 타겟 스퍼터 (Linear Facing Target Sputtering: LFTS) 시스템을 이용하여 ITO와 Ti doped $In_2O_3$ (TIO) 타겟을 Co-sputtering한 InSnTiO 투명 전극의 전기적, 광학적 특성을 연구하였다. InSnTiO 투명전극의 전기/광학적 및 구조적 특성은 Hall measurement, UV/Vis spectrometry, X-ray Diffraciton 분석법을 통해 최적화 하였고, DC power, substrate to target distance (TSD), target to target distance (TTD), ambient treatment 변수 조절을 통해 최적화된 LFTS InSnTiO 투명전극을 제작하였다. LFTS 공정을 이용한 InSnTiO 투명전극의 성막 공정 중 DC파워와 공정압력 변화에 따른 구조적, 표면적 특성 변화는 Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) 과 X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) 분석을 통해 관찰하였다. 이렇게 증착된 InSnTiO 투명전극은 급속열처리 시스템으로 (Rapid Thermal Annealing system) 후열처리를 진행하여 투과도의 향상과 면저항의 감소를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 분석을 통해 Co-sputtering한 InSnTiO 박막의 특성과 다양한 장점을 소개한다.

  • ITO에 사용되는 주된 재료인 인듐의 bixbyite 구조는 TCOs의 전기적 특성에서 매우 중요한 것으로 알려져 있다. 때문에 인듐의 Bixbyite구조를 유지하면서 인듐의 사용량을 줄이기 위해 최적의 Solubility limit에 관해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 In2O3-ZnO-SnO2의 삼성분계 기본 조성에 두가지 물질을 추가로 첨가하여 첨가량에 따른 Solubility limit을 연구하였다. Solubility limit의 측정을 위해 X-ray Diffractometer(XRD)를 사용하였으며, 첨가 원소의 양이 증가할수록 TCOs target의 Latice parameter값은 작아졌다, SEM을 통한 미세구조의 관찰로 원소첨가에 따른 샘플의 소결에너지 변화를 분석할 수 있었다. 제작된 시편의 정성분석 및 Chemical binding Energy를 측정하기 위해 X-ray Photo Spectroscopy (XPS)를 이용하였으며, 전기적인 특성 측정을위해 4-Point prove mesurement 방법을 사용하였다.

견피브로인/Poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) 브렌드 필름의 구조 및 열적 특성 (Structural and Thermal Characteristics of Silk Fibroin/PHEMA Blend Films)

  • Structural and thermal characteristics of silk fibroin/poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)(PHEMA) blend films were investigated using FTIR, X-ray diffractometer, differential scanning calorimeter, thermogravimeter and scanning electron microscope. FTIR spectra showed that the conformation of silk fibroin prepared by dissolving in formic acid was $\beta$-sheet, which did not affected by blending with PHEMA. The X-ray diffraction patterns also showed that individual crystalline structure of silk fibroin and PHEMA was not affected for the blend films. The initial thermal decomposition temperature of silk fibroin/PHEMA blend film tends to be higher than either of silk fkbroin or PHEMA. Thermal stability of both polymers, more notably PHEMA, can be improved by blending two components. As a result of SEM observation, the phases separation for silk fibroin/PHEMA blend films occured regardless of blend ratio ; continuous and dispersed phase were silk fibroin and PHEMA component, respectively.

  • olycrystailine CdSe thin films were grown on ceramic substrate using a chemical bath deposition (CBD)method. They were annealed at various temperature and X-ray diffraction patterns were measured by X-ray diffractometer in order to study CdSe polycrystal structure. Its grain size was about 0.3 ${\mu}m$. Hall effect on this sample was measured by Van der Pauw method and studied on carrier density and movility depending on temperature. We measured also spectral response, sensitivity($\gamma$), maximum allowable power dissipation and response time on these samples.

  • Titanium dioxide films $(TiO_2)$ doped cobalt transition metal were prepared on titanium metal by water spray pyrolysis technique. Micro-morphology, crystalline structure, chemical composition and binding state of sample groups were evaluated using field emission scanning microscope(FE-SEM), X-ray diffractometer(XRD), Raman spectrometer, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS). $TiO_2$ films of rutile structure were predominately formed on all sample groups and $Ti_2O_3$ oxide was coexisted on the surface of cobalt doped-sample groups. The optical absorption peaks measured by using UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer were observed at specific wavelength region in sample groups doped cobalt ion. This result could be analyzed by introducing crystal field theory.

  • ITO thin films $({\sim}150\;nm)$ are deposited on glass substrates by different deposition condition. The sheet resistance of ITO thin films measured by using a four probe station. The microstructure of these films is determined using a X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a atomic force microscope (AFM). The sheet resistance of ITO thin films compared $s_{11}$ values by using a near field scanning microwave microscope.

생물학적 축산분뇨처리시설에서 인 회수의 가능성 평가 (Feasibility of Phosphorus Recovery from Biological Livestock Wastewater Treatment Plant)

  • A chemical sequencing batch reactor was operated to test the feasibility of nutrient recovery from a biological livestock wastewater treatment plant. Both phosphate and ammonia could be successfully recovered as magnesium ammonium phosphate (MAP) crystals. The contents of TP and TN in the recovered MAP crystals were 26.2% and 4.0%, respectively. Zn, Cr and Ti were identified in the crystals, but the contents remained below the Korean standard for an organic fertilizer. Chemical analyses confirmed that the MAP crystals could be useful phosphate fertilizers. On the other hand, the results of physical analyses using an X-ray diffractometer and an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer strongly suggested that crystalline materials like magnesium potassium phosphate (KMP) and hydroxyapatite (HAP) were also formed during the MAP crystallization, depending on the availability of K+ and Ca2+.

Preparation of multi-component thin film by facing target sputtering system

  • AIZTO (Al-In-Sn-ZnO) thin film was deposited on glass substrate at room temperature by facing target sputtering (FTS) system. The FTS system was designed to array two targets facing each other. Two different kinds of targets were installed on FTS system. We used the ITO (In2O3 90wt%, SnO2 10wt%) target and the AZO (ZnO 98wt%, Al2O3 2wt%). AIZTO films were deposited in each of the applied power of the targets. The electrical and structural properties of the as-deposited AIZTO thin films were then examined by hall-effect measurement, and by using atomic force microscope (AFM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The optical property was measured by an UV-VIS spectrometer.

가스분무 Mg-Zn-Y 합금분말 및 압출재의 특성 (Materials Properties of Gas Atomized and Extruded Mg-Zn-Y Alloys)

  • Mg-4.3Zn-0.7Y (at%) alloy powders were prepared using an industrial scale gas atomizer, followed by warm extrusion. The powders were almost spherical in shape. The microstructure of atomized powders and those extruded bars was examined using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscope (EDS) and X-ray Diffractometer (XRD). The grain size of the powders was coarsen as the initial powder size increased. After the extrusion, the grain size became fine due to the severe plastic deformation during the extrusion with the ratio of 10:1. Both the ultimate strength and elongation were enhanced with the decrease of initial particle size.

  • Quaternary Ti-Si-C-N coatings were deposited on WC-Co substrates by a hybrid coating system of arc ion plating (AIP) and sputtering techniques using Ti and Si targets, in an $Ar/N_2/CH_4$ gaseous mixture. The crystallinity, bending status, and microstructure of the Ti-Si-C-N coatings were measured by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscope (XPS), The micro-hardness of Ti(C,N) and Ti-Si-N coatings were about 30 and 40 GPa, respectively. As the Si was incorporated into Ti(C,N) coatings, the Ti-Si-C-N coatings having Si content of $8.9\;at.\%$ showed the maximum hardness value of about 55 GPa. In this work, the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-Si-C-N coatings were systematically investigated.
