In this paper, we introduce the concept of web-based simulation and some reviews on the distributed simulation on the World Wide Web (WWW) and classify the features of current web-based simulation under the distributed way. And then we suggest the structure of distributed web-based simulation which can achieve parallel simulation and reduce simulation run time and show how the callback mechanism works to enable the distributions of jobs to clients with push service in Remote Method Invocation (RMI). Finally we present a prototype of distributed web-based simulation.

웹 마이닝은 World Wide Web으로부터 유용한 정보를 발견하고 분석하는 일로 정의 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 웹 마이닝을 통하여, 사용자 접근 페이지(성향)를 분석하고, 사용자에게 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 시스템을 구축 하였다. 제안 시스템은 웹 사이트를 방문한 사용자의 행동과 발송된 뉴스레터로부터의 행동에 따른 정보를 조사하고 필터링을 통해 카테고리별로 분류과정을 거친다. 이러한 과정을 통해 생성된 각 카테고리에 대해 최근에 접근한 사용자들에 퍼지 연관규칙 (fuzzy association rules)을 적용하며, 이렇게 생성된 집합과 각 사용자가 접근한 페이지들의 집합을 비교하여 각 사용자에게 적합한 뉴스레터를 발송할 수 있다.

Lots of the agricultural information come from human experiences and are in non-numerical forms. Therefore, it is difficult to process to be processed in a conventional data processing way. An internet expert system for agricultural application using the ASP(active server page) was developed to solve this problem and consisted of databases, an inference engine, and an user interface. The databases were composed of rule base, question base and link data. The inference engine was developed with the ASP for connection with web between databases. The used interface was developed with the CGI(common gateway interface), so that question could be answered on a web browser, and the session technique was used to provide proper result to each of multi-users. A prototype internet expert system was developed for diagnosis of diseases and nutritional disorders of paddy rice. The expert system was interactively worked through WWW(world wide web) at remote sites by multi-users, even at the same time. The rule base could be easily updated and modified from a web server computer by a knowledge engineer.

현재 World Wide Web (이하 Web) 자체를 일반 사용자들이 인터넷으로 인식하고 있는 상황에서 잘못된 정보의 전달은 매우 큰 문제이며, 이것은 존재하는 정보를 잘못 가공하는 데에서 기인하게 된다. 잘못 가공된 정보의 전달을 방지하는 방법으로 여러가지가 있으나, 이중 가장 대표적인 것으로 인식되는 것이 바로 CSCW이다. CSCW 환경은 클라이언트-서버 환경과 같은 단일 시스템에서의 공동 작업 공간을 다중의 사용자에게 제공하여 주는 것으로 인터넷 또는 인트라넷 환경과 같은 분산 공유 정보 시스템 환경 즉, 다중의 이질적인 시스템과 다중 사용자 환경에서 사용시는 다수의 추가적 요소를 필요로 하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하려는 것이 협력으로 폐쇄적인 인터넷인 인트라넷에서의 이질적인 전산환경 특히, 교육, 생산, 마케팅 분야 및 정부에서 사용시 많은 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 협력의 골격이 되는 CSCW, 그룹 웨어등의 개념을 먼저 살펴보고, 다음으로 협력의 정의와 분류, 문제점 분석, 그리고 Web에서의 협력 환경 구축 방안에 대하여 기술하겠다.

Web Services are considered to be a promising technology to add a new level of functionality to the existing World Wide Web. However, despite the growing use of Web Services by many organizations, there are several issues that are slowing their deployment such as service discovery, recovery from faults and security. In this paper, we give a detailed overview of issues surrounding Web Services, discuss existing solutions and describe their limitations.

웹(World Wide Web)은 정보의 저장 및 검색에 있어서 보편적인 매체가 되고 있다 웹에서는 일반적으로 검색엔진(Web search engine)을 통해 정보 검색을 수행하지만, 그 결과가 사용자의 요구와 늘 일치하는 것은 아니며 때로는 의도적으로 조작된 검색 결과가 제시되기도 한다. 웹 페이지에 대한 평가를 조작하는 것을 의도적 조작이라고 부른다. 최근에 가장 각광을 받는 링크 기반 검색 방식에는 의도적 조작이 상대적으로 어렵지만, 링크 기반 검색 방식의 대표격인 구글의 페이지 점수법(PageRank algorithm)도 구글밤처럼 조작할 수 있는 방법이 있다 본 논문에서는 기본적으로 링크 기반 검색 방식을 기초로 웹을 하나의 유향그래프(directed graph)로 인식하여 각 웹 페이지들은 하나의 노드로, 하이퍼텍스트 링크를 에지(edge)로 표현하며. 하이퍼텍스트 정보관점에서 링크 내역과 대상 페이지(target page) 사이의 유사도(similarity)를 구하고. 이것을 이용하여 페이지 점수화 (PageRank) 접근법의 전이 행렬(transition matrix)을 재구성하는 방법을 취했다 결과적으로 기존의 점수화 방법과 비교하여 효과가 $60\%$ 이상 될 수 있음을 입증했다.

정보 검색에 주로 이용되던 웹이 편리함과 효용성이 알려지면서 전자메일, BBS, 전자상거래 등 광범위한 분야로 이용이 확대됨에 따라 보안성 문제가 제기되기 시작하였다. 본 고에서는 먼저 기존의 웹 보안 기법을 살펴보고 새롭게 요구되는 보안 서비스를 바탕으로 보안 요구사항을 도출한다. 또한 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) 보안그룹들, W3C(World Wide Web Consortium), 그리고 각 업체 등에서 연구되고 있는 주요 보안기법과 연구동향에 대해 기술한다.
