The purpose of this study is to examine France's regional development policy in terms of rural development since the end of World War II. Following decentralization in 1982, France's regional and rural development policies have been focused on the interrelated actions of government, local authorities and European authorities. The aim of their works was to extend the dispersal of industrial activities to the reorganization of the rural space. The rural development policies aimed to the agricultural modernization in the 1950s have differed in their goals, methods, and implements. France's regional and rural development clearly illustrates the key role played by the government despite the decentralization and the challenges of the europeanization leading to a unique market of European nations. This reinforces the fact that the government is instrumental in organizing population distribution and regulating regional decision centers to harmonize both national objectives and local authorities' concerns. The French experience will be helpful as reference in the field of regional and rural development for Korea which has recently begun decentralizing.

The price-dividend ratio is one of the most frequently used financial variables to predict long-horizon stock return. However, the persistency of the price-dividend ratio is found to cause the spuriousness of the stock return prediction regression. The stable relationship between the stock price and the dividend, however, seems to weaken after World War II and to experience structural break. In this paper, we identify a structural change in the cointegrating relationship between the log of the stock price and the log of the dividend. Confirming a structural break in 1962, we subdivide the sample and apply the fully modified estimator to correct for the nonstationarity of the regressor. With the subdivided sample, we exercise the nonparametric bootstrap procedure to derive the empirical distribution of the test statistics and fail to find return predictability in each subsample period.

Since World War II nations have formed alliances for reasons of security and trade. Countries have seen international integration as an appropriate approach to resolving domestic and international political issues, improving their welfare by both transforming their infrastructures and increasing their foreign trade. While the majority of these relationships are straightforward d Turkey's relationship with the European Union is more complex due to differences in religion and, at times, political ideology from other Union members. As a candidate country Turkey has made advances towards the full membership of the European Union with the customs union being the most significant. The impact of customs union membership is discussed and the effects of the customs union on Turkey's trade and economy are examined from a perspective of different economic theories.

포스트모더니즘은 2차대전 이후에 서구문화에 전반적으로 확산되어 여러분야에 광범위하게 사용된 20세기 후반, 시대정신을 대표하는 사회·문화적 현상이다. 포스트모더니즘의 징후에 나타난 가장 큰 현상은 대중문화의 확산이다. 여기서 오락과 즐거움 전달을 목적으로 하는 애니메이션은 대중적인 문화산물 중 독특한 위치를 차지한다. 신세기 에반게리온(Neon Genesis Evangelion)은 스토리 전개방식과 작품의 특성, 작가의 표현방식이 포스트모더니즘(Post-modernism) 특성을 충분히 발휘하고 있어 기존의 상업 애니메이션과 차별화를 둘 수 있다.

The first historical record on the use of wild edible plants as foods in Korea involves sswuk and manul concerned with the mythology of Tangun. Numerous names of wild vegetables had been recorded in various ancient books. Wild edible plants are of great value as food resources and for domestication, since they have variable edible portions and quite a long picking season. Several kinds of wild edible plants have been already grown as vegetable crops. Doragi (Platycodon grandiflorum) is probably the one with the longest history of cultivation. During World War II, an attempt had been made to substitute vegetable crops for wild edible plants. As picking wild greens requires a great deal of labor and plants of wild growth are limited in the amount, domestication of wild vegetables as crops appears to be an urgent need for securing food resources in Korea.

The major problems of chemical fertilizer supply and consumption involved in price policies since the end of World War II in Korea and their solutions were extensively discussed. The period was divided into three sub-periods: 1946-1960, 1961-1967 and 1968 to present. Since 1968 when the operations of three large-scaled fertilizer plants: Yongnam Chemical Co., Chinhae Chemical Co. and Hankuk Fertilizer Co. were begun in full scale, the domestic supply of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers were almost enough for the domestic demand. However, since 1976, when Namhae Chemical Co. was added to the production capacity, the fertilizer industry has been faced with the overproduction problem of nitrogen, and the high production cost due to high petroleum price, which gave financial difficulties. Several policy directions and alternative measures for solving the current problems were also suggested in this presentation.

The purpose of this study is to promote understanding of the book selection theory by researching dialectically of its development process centering on the BSTv(value theory) and BSTd(demand theory). The results of this study are summarized as follows 1. In the period of enlightenment and education, the book selection theory of public libraries was the thesis state of BSTv(d). 2. Antithesis state of BSTv(d), that is, BSTd was raised to real central theory of book selection in the early 20th century. 3. In the 1930-40's, BSTv and BSTd were transformed into balance state or coexistence relations(BSTb $[v(d){\cdot}d(v)$]. 4. After World War II, BSTn(library needs theory) and BSTo(library objective theory) were evoked, and opposed to the existing selection theories. Now, they are developing into BSTbl$[n(d)\cdot\;o(v)\;or\;n(d){\cdot}v(o)]$.

The objective of this treatise is to study the effect which rock'n'roll had on fashion through the fashion of rock'n'roll stars and contemporary youngsters. The United states of America in the 1950's when rock'n'roll came into existence was an opulent and luxurious period. People's spare time increased and teenagers who grew up in oppulence after World War II emlerged. It was rock'n'roll that comprised the background of their culture. Rock'n'roll music, which was in the mixed form of Negro's rhythm and blues, and country -and-western of Southern hillbilly Rock'n'roll was expressed as a 'culture', characterized by both the luxurious and oppulent culture and the'anti-establishment' defying it. This cultural characteristic emerged as at once the conservative fashion following the contemporary fashion and the anti-establishment fashion in the rock'n'roll fashion. Therefore, the rock'n'roll fashion influenced by popular music became one momentum of including popular music among factors affecting the twentieth-century modern fashion.

There are several way to classify the furniture. The furniture can be classified into use, style, and function, but if the furniture is classified into the way of production, it can be the industrial furniture and the studio furniture. Especially, technology and function of the furniture are important elements in industrial furniture. However, it could be considered artists' character and concept as more important elements in the studio furniture. The studio furniture had come out one of the historical movement in American furniture field after the World War II. This case to apply found objects began to increase after the 1970s. Using objects In furniture design field had built up sprightly after end of 1950s. This expression could be the statement of new expression that essential properties of matter in objects is removed. I try to suggest original and interesting furniture design to apply found objects in this thesis. Especially, I use the Korean traditional objects for the furniture and try to make their essential function to be changed. Also, I focus on furniture design to have formative element in their shapes.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes and characteristics of street fashion in Japan of the 1980s. The data were collected from the Mainichi Newspaper published in Japan from 1950 to 1990. The results were as follows: 1. After world war II, the street fashion had changed through the styles of the Panpan, Apres, Miyuki, Hippie & Hooten, Bikers in Japan. 2. The 1980s was characterized as an era of post industrial society and the appearance of Shinjinrui which means new human. In street fashion, these changes led to greater focus on unique style in Japan. In the 1980s, the street fashion had developed within four styles : traditional casual wear style, American sports wear style, performance.oriented style, and Japanese DC brand style in Japan.
