실시간기업(RTE) 구현을 위한 새로운 비즈니스 프로세스 모니터링 (A new monitoring method of business processes for RTE environments)

  • 본 논문은 최근 실시간 기업(RTE: Real-Time Enterprise)의 구현도구로 각광을 받고 있는 BPM(Business Process Management)이 신속하고 다양한 모니터링 및 분석을 제공할 수 있는 새로운 모니터링 기법을 소개한다. 본 논문의 방법론은 기존의 프로세스 모니터링 서비스의 한계를 극복하고 개인에 따라 차별화된 모니터링 환경을 제공한다. 제시된 모형은 모니터링 객체(monitoring objects), 분석 기법(analysis methods), 표현 양식(presentation styles), 모니터링 이벤트(audit events)의 네 가지 축에 따라 모니터링 구정 요소들을 분해하고, 분해된 개별 단위들을 사용자가 자유롭게 조합하여 모니터링 서비스를 구성할 수 있도록 한다. 이는 기업의 경영자가 실시간으로 경영성과를 확인하도록 하고 추후의 경영활동에 반영하도록 하는 실시간 기업의 환경을 구축하도록 한다.

  • Currently, many companies are trying to be more competitive by implementing the most appropriate software package, called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). ERP can support the company's business process. A repository, which can store and retrieve enterprise-wide information, is a key component of such software package. This paper implements an enterprise repository for the ERP. A well-known repository standard, IRDS (Information Resource Dictionary System), is employed for the repository architecture. The proposed metadata schema can help develop database, business applications, models, and workflow. To illustrate the practical usefulness, a real-life ERP prototype is built within the framework of the proposed repository.

  • Today, s Businesses can only survive if they can sdapt fast, and this means their IT systems have to adapt too. A challenge for identifying and codifying reengineering expertise is to capture Both aspects of a successful enterprise business architecture(EBA) and suitable description language, with the contexts in which it works. In connected with the state of the art in the field of Web Services architecture and EBA, we propose to exploit the concept of business process execution language(BPEL), one among of description language. In addition, we review current a issue and problem of EAI and Workflow, and outline the main ingredients of a BPEL and EBA for building flexible Web Service. This paper is exploratory study in associated with enterprise architecture(EA) and description language.

  • PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) is one of innovative manufacturing paradigms which leverages e-business technologies to allow a company's product content to be developed and integrated with all company business process through the extended enterprise. In these days, most construction companies also make an effort to enhance their systems for creating, sharing and managing information to improve business efficiency through entire lifecycle of project execution. Because of different needs, business process and diverse engineering activities such as design, structural analysis, installing simulation, documents and data managements, a new paradigm for construction companies is needed to manage and share the entire workflow, and information in total project lifecycle. In this paper, we conducted user requirement and business process analysis of constructions to design C-PLM system which is a PLM system for effective management of civil project and engineering activities. Also, we implement C-PLM system based on commercial PDM system, and applied it to civil project as case studies.

  • Organizations design and operate business process models to achieve their goals efficiently and systematically. With the advancement of IT technology, the number of items that computer systems can participate in and the process becomes huge and complicated. This phenomenon created a more complex and subdivide flow of business process.The process instances that contain workcase and events are larger and have more data. This is an essential resource for process mining and is used directly in model discovery, analysis, and improvement of processes. This event log is getting bigger and broader, which leads to problems such as capacity management and I / O load in management of existing row level program or management through a relational database. In this paper, as the event log becomes big data, we have found the problem of management limit based on the existing original file or relational database. Design and apply schemes to archive and analyze large event logs through Hadoop, an open source distributed file system, and HBase, a NoSQL database system.

Automated Supervision of Data Production - Managing the Creation of Statistical Reports on Periodic Data

  • Data production systems are generally very large, distributed and complex systems used for creating advanced (mainly statistical) reports. Typically, data is gathered periodically and then subsequently aggregated and separated during numerous production steps. These production steps are arranged in a specific sequence (workflow or production chain), and can be located worldwide. Today, a need for improving and automating methods of supervision for data production systems has been recognized. Supervision in this context entails planning, monitoring and controlling data production. Two significant approaches are introduced here for improving this supervision. The first is a 'closely-coupledd' approach (meaning direct communication between production jobs and supervisory tool, informing the supervisory tod immediately about delays in production) - based upon traditional production planning methods typically used for manufacturing (goods) and adopted for working with data production. The second is a 'loosely-coupled' approach (meaning no direct communication between supervisory tool and production jobs is used) - having its origins in proven traditional project management. The supervisory tool just enquires continuously the progress of production. In both cases, dates, costs, resources, and system health information is made available to management. production operators and administrators to support a timely and smooth production of periodic data. Both approaches are theoretically described and compared. The main finding is that, both are useful, but in different cases. The main advantages of the closely coupled approach are the large production optimisation potential and a production overview in form of a job execution plan, whereas the loosely coupled method mainly supports unhindered job execution and offers a sophisticated production overview in form of a milestone schedule. Ideas for further research include investigation of other potential approaches and theoretical and practical comparison.

  • 전통적인 워크플로우 패러다임에 있어서는 하나의 워크플로우가 자동으로 실행되기 위해서는 사전에 해당 워크플로우 탬플릿이 정의되어야 한다. 하지만 많은 경우에 있어서 프로세스 생성시에 전체 워크플로우를 명확하게 정의 할 수 없는 상황이 발생한다. 그러한 경우에는 워크플로우 파편을 통합하여 유도되는 것이 적절하다. 워크플로우 관리시스템이 그러한 상황에 대처하기 위해서는 실행 중에 워크플로우를 정의하는 기능을 갖출 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 워크플로우 관리시스템에서 실행 중 워크플로우 정의 기능을 어떻게 수용할 것인지에 관해서 소개하고 그러한 기능을 수용하는 워크플로우 관리 시스템이 어떠한 구조이어야 하는지에 관해서 논의한다. 본 논문에서는 또한 실행 중 워크플로우 정의를 위한 세가지 워크플로우 파편 템플릿이 소개되며 이것들로부터 전체 워크플로우를 유도하는 알고리즘이 고안되었다. 실행 중 워크플로우 정의 기능을 구현하기 위해서는 커넥터 메커니즘이 고안되었으며 이것의 구조와 기능도 소개된다.

  • Recently the business transformaton of a company is achieved through the business process re-design and total quality management concept. This paper focused on the decision of the critical measurement point(CMP) for maximizing the effectiveness of the business process reengineering. In general, the types of business processes can be classified into two kinds, serial processes with IPO(input/process/output) type and non-serial processes with workflow type. The traditional method of selecting the CMP relies on the experiences and intuitions of the process owners. We suggest a mathematical method for more objective selection of CMP by using Dynamic Programming.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷상의 전자상거래를 지원하는 새로운 형태의 공급망 관리 체계를 제안하였다. 기존의 재고관리 프로그램이나 전사적 자원 관리 체계(ERP)를 중심으로 하는 공급망 관리 체계는 인터넷 기반의 전자상거래의 가장 중요한 요구사항중의 하나인 소량다품종의 상거래 특성에 대해 효율적인 지원이 불가능하다. 따라서, 본 고에서는 전자상거래 공급망 관리 체계를 구축하기 위한 새로운 아키텍춰인 분산형 트랜잭션 워크플로우 아키텍춰를 설계하였으며, 이를 Instance-Active 공급망 관리 아키텍춰라고 정의하였다.

sPAC(Web Service Performance Analysis Center): 성능 중심의 웹 서비스 조합 도구 (sPAC(Web Services Performance Analysis Center): A performance-aware web service composition tool)

  • Web services and their composition (web processes) are promising technologies to efficiently integrate disparate software components over various types of systems. As many web services are nowadays available on Internet, quality of services (QoS) and performance/cost become increasingly important to differentiating between similar service providers. In this work, we introduce sPAC (Web Services Performance Analysis Centre) and show how customers can benefit from sPAC to consider performance in composing and commercializing web services. sPAC 1) helps users to graphically describe the workflow of web services, 2) invokes web services to test out performance for light load conditions, 3) automatically converts the web services and the flow between them into a simulation model, 4) conducts extensive simulations for heavy load conditions and various usage patterns, and 5) reports analysis results and estimation data for the web services.
