A workflow model is useful fur business process analysis and has often been implemented for office automation through information technology. Accordingly, the results of workflow modeling need to be systematically managed as information assets. In order to manage the modeling process effectively, it is necessary to enhance the efficiency of their reuse. Therefore, this paper creates a Document-barred Workflow Modeling Support System (DWMSS) using a case-based reasoning (CBR) approach. It proposes a system architecture, and the corresponding modeling process is developed. Furthermore, a repository, which consists of a case base and vocabulary base, is built. A carte study is illustrated to demonstrate the usefulness of th is system.

Building envelope systems with growing complexity in geometry and performance criteria demand adapted workflow processes toward the efficient integration of their design and fabrication. To facilitate integration of the workflow process, this study analyzes relationships among teams who share digital models and exchange information that help project participants identify areas of improvement in task allocation and exchanges among various actors, systems, and activities. In addition, major gaps identified in knowledge transfer, project tracking, and design integration during the performance evaluation stages, emphasize the need for a more comprehensive approach to integrating the design, the fabrication, and the construction parameters of building envelope systems. To evaluate the effectiveness of streamlining interactions of design parameters with fabrication constraints and constructability assessments, this paper examines a mechanical design approach as it applies to various project scenarios to develop a mechanical solution for streamlining building envelope design and construction workflow.

최근의 웹 환경 확산으로 웹을 기반으로 하는 워크플로우 시스템의 구축경향이 높다. 워크플로우 시스템에서 중요한 기능은 미리 정의된 규칙, 절차 및 조건에 따라 작업흐름을 자동화하는 것으로 정보흐름에 있어서 수동적인 작업을 배제하고 GUI 방식을 지원하며 정보처리의 이동성이 고려되어야 한다. 특히 분산된 업무조직의 작업흐름을 위한 분산워크플로우 시스템은 웹 환경에 있어서 프로세스 로직에 따른 태스크간의 이동제어와 결함허용 및 실시간적 처리가 가능해야 한다. 그러나 기존의 메일 시스템은 전송위주로서 작업흐름을 자동화하려는 경우에 적합하지 못하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 작업흐름 설계가 가능하고 작업흐름제어를 자동화 할 수 있는 분산워크플로우 엔진이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 웹 메일을 이용하여 작업흐름을 그래픽 인터페이스로 작성하고 이를 절차적 수행이 가능한 스크립트 코드를 생성하는 브라우저를 작성하였으며, 분산환경에서 태스크 처리를 위한 프로세스 스케쥴러 및 서버노드의 결함 발생시 이를 허용하는 전처리기를 지닌 프로세스 엔진을 설계하였다. 이 이스템은 서버의 결함이나 사용자의 부재시 처리를 대행하므로 시스템의 신뢰성과 가용성을 향상시키고, 데이터베이스 기반 워크플로우 시스템보다 비용을 감소시킨다.

To realize process-driven management, so many companies have been launching business process managementsystems. Business process is collection of standardized and structured tasks inducing value creation of acompany. Moreover, it is recognized as one of significant intangible business assets to achieve competitiveadvantages. This research introduces a novel approach of workflow process analysis, which has more and moresignificance as process-aware information systems are spreading widely into a lot of companies, In this paper, amethodology of workflow clustering based on process similarity has been proposed. The purpose of workflowclustering is to analyze accumulated process definitions in order to assist design of new processes andimprovement of existing ones. The proposed methodology exploits measures of structural similarity of workflowprocesses.The methodology has been experimented with synthetic process models for illustrating the implicationofworkflow clustering.

최근의 비즈니스 환경의 변화는 각 기업이 서로 상호작용을 빈번하게 하는 것을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화에서 정보시스템간의 정보교환을 원활히 하는 것을 바탕으로 통합이 주요한 키워드로 등장하고 있다. 특히, e-비즈니스와 같이 여러 기업이 상호작용하는 경우 문서의 이력과 변경과정을 체계적으로 기록하고 추적하는 것 이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 워크플로우에 의해 자동화되어 실행되는 비즈니스 프로세스의 진행과정에서 XML문서의 변경을 자동으로 찾아 기록하고 이를 효과적으로 저장하는 새로운 방법론을 제시한다. 또한 본 논문은 이를 바탕으로 프로세스의 이상상황에서 문서를 이전 상태로 회복시키는 효과적인 방법론을 제안한다. 본 논문의 유용성을 증명하기 위하여 원형시스템을 구현하였으며, 간단한 실험을 통하여 저장의 효율성을 보였다.

The changing business environment requires that firms reengineer their fundamental processes in order to retain their competitive advantage. Most Business Proess Reengineering (BPR) projects, however, have failed partly because the essential enabler, ie. information technology, was unable to perpetuate the original vision. The information systems were unable to support the collaboration among the workers participating in the process. Workflow Management Systems (WfMS) have the potential to enhance not only individual performance as did traditional information systems, but also the group performance essential to the success of BPR by providing an effective means of communications through connectivity. It also enhances productivitiy through proceduralization of the fundamental processes, thus making it possible to empower the employee even while it controls the flow, and ultimately the delaly that originally made the BPR effort necessary. Therefore, though it is not a panacea, WfMS's can improve chances for the success of BPR projects. Managers who have realized this are faced with another obstacle - that of selecting the WfMS that best meets the particular organization's needs. This paper provids an evaluation structure of WfMS functions with emphasis on those functions that are essential for BPR, classifying the functions into an attribute hierarchy according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. It also suggests specific evaluation criteria for the main workflow functions provided by most vendors today, thus providing managers with a comprehensive guideline to facilitate the decision process.

Nowadays, the web service was based on composing the e-business and distributed computing environment. But existing workflow management systems have many problems with the interoperability between companies because they are made before most web services. For these problems, the workflow based composition language such as the Business Process Execute Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS or BPEL) appeared in expressing the web service composition. In this paper, we present an event based rule management system architecture that executes automatically the BPEL using the Event-Condition-Action (ECA) rules. The event based rule management system consists of the event manager, rule manager, and Jess. The Jess is the part of executing and deciding the condition.

This study determined tact process paths by separating the finish works according to the properties of work areas and work relations in order to apply the tact schedule management to the finish works. In addition, by suggesting preparing and sharing the workflow charts, the experiments can be shared between the executors and any possible frictions between the specialist works can be identified in advance. In addition, any errors on the plan can be reviewed and modified through the measurement stage of tact plan attainment rate. The process of tact schedule management is improved with such tools and methods and the efficiency of the process through the application of cases was verified.

이 논문에서는 웹 서비스와 그리드 컴퓨팅과 같은 차세대 인터넷 서비스 환경에서 프로세스 관리 기능을 제공하기 위한 워크플로우 수행 모델을 제안하였다. 기업 환경을 위한 기존 워크플로우 수행모델은 이러한 환경의 확장성과 신뢰성에 대한 요구를 만족시키지 못하고 있다. 이러한 요구사항을 만족시키기 위하여, 이 연구에서는 P2P 모델을 워크플로우 수행 모델에 적용하였다. 신뢰성 지원을 위한 복구기법을 집합론을 사용하여 수학적으로 기술하고 증명하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 같은 자원을 사용하는 중앙 집중식 모델에 비하여 약 100배 이상의 신속한 응답시간 향상을 보임을 알 수 있었다.
