Purpose: To identify the need to reform in the crisis response of Health Teacher, School Nurse, in elementary school during epidemic outbreak of influenza H1N1. Methods: 139 elementary health teachers, school nurse, in seoul elementary school responded in the questionnaire, and we analysed by using frequency and percent, t-test, and paired t-test. Results: The Job status became 121% more 'during influenza H1N1 (flu) outbreak' than Job status of 'before outbreak'. The proportion of the flu-related duty among their daily workload was up to 77.5%. The administration-related workload of the flu-related duty was 30.8%. and students' health assessment including temperature measurement 18.7%. Furthermore, an impediment of usual daily work due to an increaed flu-related workload was 95.7%, and no alternative plan such as disposition of assistant labor force was 86.1%. Especially, an impediment of health education was 61.0%, so the major concern was the loss of health education. We compared average scores (a five-point Likert scale) of health teachers' work motivation, exhaustion, work relationship and Job management of 'during' with 'before' flu-outbreak. The difference range of 'during' minus 'before' work motivation score was from -0.4 points to -0.9; work exhaustion range from 1.8 to 1.9; the difficulty of relationship between students, school personnel, parents of students, and health teachers from 1.4 points to 1.3 points; and the consideration of changing Job, taking time off from the Job and retirement from 1.4 to 1.6 points. Conclusion: The health teachers had a heavy workload due to flu-outbreak. They also experienced the impediment of usual work implementation. However, there was a shortage of alternative plan such as disposition of an assistant labor force. Under their Job status like this, the health teachers' motivation score was decreased and work exhaustion was increased. Furthermore, they had a lot of relation difficulty with students and school personnel. Therefore, we suggested that in contrast to the usual Job status, there is a need to have a prepared response during school crisis like flu-outbreak such as improved response system in seoul metropolitan education office, simplification or dispersion of administrative work, and temporary call-center for simple inquiries or advices.
In a flexible airvehicle, an assessment of the structural coupling levels through analysis and experiments provides structural data for the design of notch filters which are generally utilized in the flight control system to attenuate the flexible response pickup. This is necessitated as during flight, closed loop control actuation driven with flexible response inputs could lead to stability and performance related problems. In the present work, critical parameters influencing servoelastic response have been identified. A sensitivity study has been carried out to assess the extent of influence of each parameter. A multi-parameter tuning approach has been implemented to achieve an enhanced analytical model for improved predictions of aircraft servoelastic response. To illustrate the model updation approach, initial and improved test analysis correlation of lateral servoelastic responses for a generic flexible airvehicle are presented.
This work presents the response characteristics of a ZnO varistor to conductive EMP. An E1 pulse, standardized to MIL-STD-188-125-1, was applied to the varistors wherein the residual current and response times were measured with the applied E1 pulse current. Additionally, the response time was measured according to the length of the connection path. Consequently, the amplitude of the residual voltage through the ZnO varistors was increased with increasing amplitude of the applied E1 pulse current. As the length of the connection path increased, the operating response time and residual peak voltage also increased. These results indicate that the response characteristics of ZnO varistors can be applied to basic data to support the use of varistors as a protective measure against conductive EMP.
This discovery-oriented study explored 31 social workers' perceptions of discrepancies between explicit and implicit rules in their work places that are supposed to affect the quality of social work services, and identified eight categories of dilemmas: (a) confused accountability or purpose, (b) ambiguous principle, (c) improper authority, (d) confused role of social workers, (e) conflict between ideal and reality, (f) confused work ethics, (g) confused boundary of workers' rights, and (h) binds. These eight categories revealed the real philosophy and purposes of social work agencies, work ethics and values prevalent among social work agencies, agencies' orientation toward clients, and the conditions of social support from the society in large. Instead of searching for discrete variables as separately responsible for inefficient social work services, this approach probed malfunctioning implicit rules in a holistic context to see if inefficient or ineffective provision of social work services is a logical response to a much larger and deeper nexus. Insight into discrepant rules does not solely ensure the improvement of social work practice in the field, particularly if their identification is simply used as another opportunity to blame and avoid self-responsibility. However, such discrepancies between implicit and explicit rules are real enough to the staff workers and agency administrators that they may want to begin the dialogue of contradictory rules as a way of sanctioning discussion of previously forbidden topics. This study provided the ground-work for the dialogue.
The purpose of this study is to provide the ideal forecasting model of cadastral survey work load through the Economeatric Analysis of Time Series, Granger Causality and VAR Model Analysis, it suggested the forecasting reference materials for the total amount of cadastral survey general work load. The main result is that the derive of the environment variables which affect cadastral survey general work load and the outcome of VAR(vector auto regression) analysis materials(impulse response function and forecast error variance decomposition analysis materials), which explain the change of general work load depending on altering the environment variables. And also, For confirming the stability of time series data, we took a unit root test, ADF(Augmented Dickey-Fuller) analysis and the time series model analysis derives the best cadastral forecasting model regarding on general cadastral survey work load. And also, it showed up the various standards that are applied the statistical method of econometric analysis so it enhanced the prior aggregate system of cadastral survey work load forecasting.
The Five Days Work System started to be lately introduced among Korean companies is causing much interests in diverse aspects. This theme of '5 days work' seems like a hot issue both for academian and for practitioner in the respect that it incurred a great change and impact in worker's life. The purpose of this article is to depict the pattern and the effect incurred by '5 days work system', focusing on the female workers in railroad-related organizations. To attain this purpose, several aspects of current '5 days work system' and its effects both on work life and on family life are surveyed through questionaire and analyzed by SPSS. And some implications will be supposed. in based on the cognitive response of employees.

Purpose : This study aimed to determine the experiences of the disaster response team 9 participants who participated in the disaster after the fire incident occurred in Jecheon Sports Center and their meaning and essence. Methods : Nine disaster response teams were the subjects of the study, and Individual in-depth interviews were conducted. Data were collected online between January 6 and April 30, 2021, from the software ZoomTM. This study was conducted as a qualitative study by applying Giorgi's phenomenological experiential research method, which has an advantage in revealing the essential structure and meaning of experience. Results : Three major themes were derived from the study results: the stimulus through unfamiliar experiences, the grievances due to work environment and regional characteristics, and dullness resulting from hiding and enduring. The following 17 sub-themes were identified: learning through unfamiliar experiences, frustration due to unexpected circumstances, shock from unfamiliar experiences, doing my best in the present, confidence due to increased experience, disunified system, intervention of various interests, the atmosphere that puts responsibility on others, inactive help, unforgettable regional characteristics, working without time to settle, tolerating it in my own way, memories left in the unconsciousness, sudden suffering from memories that come to mind, movement in anxiety and tension, dullness, work with colleagues in the same situation. Conclusion : This study is meaningful in that it attempted to provide basic data in preparing a long-term strategy for effective policy direction and institutional protection based on the systematic mental health management of the disaster response team. Additionally, this study's results can be used as primary data for future research among Disaster Response Team.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate an effect of the new air traffic control display designed by Ecological Interface Design [EID]. The methodology of EID has not been applied to the development of the air traffic control display so far. To design a new air traffic control display by EID, We implemented Work Domain Analysis about the air traffic control domain and made the Work Domain Model that consisted of the five levels of the Abstraction Hierarchy. We extracted the Information Requirement from the completed Work Domain Model and the extracted information requirements from the model were used to design the new air traffic control display. We evaluated an effect of the new air traffic control display designed by EID. Participants for evaluating consisted of 14 active military air traffic controller of the Republic of Korea Air Force. Experiment was designed two factors within subject. Factors manipulated in the experiment included displays type to compare the existing type with the new ecological interface type and included complexity to compare the effect of the high complex situation with the effect of the low complex situation. Response time about questions with relation to air traffic collision situation, accuracy, and subjective work load were measured. The results reveled that EID type's display has a significant effect on response time, accuracy, and subjective work load and verified that EID could be applied to the air traffic control domain that is more complex and dynamic.
We have never seen any method to cope basically with complicated situation and problems around medical reimbursement rates here in Korea since 1977 witnessed by the beginning of medical insurance. By the way researchers concerned are beginning to propose some kinds of innovative and detailed ideas to government these days. They are Diagnosis-related group(DRG) and Resource-based .elative value scale(RBRVS). In the light of this situation it is so encouraging that our government can come up with that and move. In case of RBRVS research we have already been reaching even to the level of reviewing and revising methodology for its further development after naive pilot study on internal medicine and general surgery last year. However there might be something different conditions between USA and Korea to apply the same Dr. Hsiao's method and it must be vital to check so called' total work approach' compared with 'intra-service work approach' before expanding to the whole medical fields. According to the' Intra-service approach', the physician's work is supposed to be divided into three sub-works by the name of intraservice work, pre, and post service work. These sub-works, again should be merged together to be the pre-postwork subset through some statistical methods of the estimation process applied by Dr. Hsiao's methodology in RBRVS development later on. But in this paper that estimation process was not taken because we could have real values for all of those surveyed items related to just one specialty, OB & GY. Instead, We used some statistical comparison procedures relevant to demographic characteristics, reliability & validity and correlation analysis with American RVU(Relative value unit) between the total work and merged total work from intraservice work approach. The unit of analysis was individual physicians of OB & GY and 300 physicians were selected for each approach through statistical sampling method based on national population of OB & GY physicians in Korea. And also with the thankful help of Advisory Committee under Korean Association of OB & GY, questionnaires were made and mailed to the subjects, two times. As a result there were not any statistically significant differences in demographic characteristics between the two approaches except for the variable 'Response time for the questionnaires', but in other sections of comparisons, response rate, representative values, reliability & validity test, correlation analysis with American RVU, all showed 'Total approach' was not only more rational and statistically meaningful than 'Intra-service approach' but also had considerable merits. But we are not absolutely sure about this paper's robustness. Because of some limitations, we'd rather like to suggest further researches should be followed. In that sense the first thing would be a research for the influence of doctor's characteristics, especially 'frequency' on the rating of work and the way to define total work more clearly.

This study aims to analyze working hours of sprinkler heads when a fire occurs at an indoor gymnasium while sprinkler heads are installed in division of standard response type, special response type, and earlier response type. The fire scenario was designed under the assumption that the fire started from overheating of a heater in the indoor gymnasium has transferred on to a couch to spread. The analysis on the operation time of the standard response type sprinkler head, the special response type sprinkler head and the early response sprinkler head was conducted. The result showed that, in case of fire in a gymnasium, the time for opening of the heat sensor due to the heat from the fire varies by the type of the sprinkler head. When a special response type sprinkler is installed, it worked below the assessment standards. When an early response sprinkler head is installed, it worked appropriately according to assessment standards. Based on the results, we found that sprinkler heads will work properly when installed according to design relevant to laws and regulations. This means that there is a limit in installation of sprinkler heads based on the existing law-based design as for indoor gymnasiums. Again, we conclude that if sprinkler heads are installed based on design made through laws and regulations, more time will be needed for operation, making it highly likely to fail to stop a fire at an earlier point of time.
