Brand attachment, brand name, and image congruence play important role on consumer behavior in terms of reinforcing consumers' perception of food service companies and differentiating them from competing brands. Following the planned behavior theory, this paper examines the effect of linking brand attitude to word-of-mouth and revisit intentions in the restaurant sector. Research design, data, and methodology: This paper examines the structural relationship among brand attachment, brand name, image congruence, brand attitude, WOM, and revisit intention. In order to test the purposes of this study, research model and hypotheses were developed. The questionnaire items were modified and used according to the content of this study based on previous studies. All constructs were measured by multiple items tested and developed in the previous research. The study is based on the quantitative method and considered 519 questionnaires fulfilled by customers of restaurants. The data were explored employing the partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Frequency analysis was conducted to identify the general characteristics of the survey subjects. To measure the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Structural model analysis was conducted to verify the research model. Result: The findings demonstrate that brand attachment and brand name had positive effects on attitude while image congruence did not have. Also, attitude had positive effect on WOM and revisit intention. Conclusions: This study expands the literature about WOM and revisit intentions. This study expands prior research in a similar field to which the theory of planned behavior (TPB) is applied, and reveals that brand attachment, brand name, and brand image congruence play an important role in developing brand attitude that affect revisit intention and WOM. And provide guidelines on how to enhance competitiveness in the restaurant sector based on understanding of linking brand attitude to customer loyalty and repeat business. By putting into practice these suggestions in the restaurant industry, brands can easily build up their attitude and boost a positive WOM and the intention to revisit.

  • Many people today suffer from stress originated from diseases, daily life, workplace, or environmental pollution. People want a comfortable and stable life along with physical and mental relaxation. As the number of people pursuing a comfortable life increases, terms of well-being and wellness have become more common, and wellness-related industries are also developing. Among the wellness and well-being industries, the wellness entertainment contents are one of the highest growing industries. This study aims to investigate how wellness contents contribute to improving the psychological well-being level of users through the mediating effect of telepresence in online. Specifically, this study suggests a hypothesized research model on the influence of online wellness entertainment content, which consists of sensory-, emotional-, and cognitive-attributes, on telepresence, followed by psychological well-being and word-of-mouth. With an empirical test using data on the experience of meditation app experience for 305 people, the result showed that the hypotheses in the research model were supported. The result of this study showed that wellness content induces users' telepresence and word-of-mouth, suggesting that wellness contents are needed to develop into a profit model rather than being limited to simple mental and physical stability.

  • Internet shopping has continued to grow rapidly in the past decade. The main cause of this growth was the cheap price and convenience. However, internet shopping is uncertain compared to off-line shopping malls. Consumers don't have a chance to directly see and touch the products they will purchase. Many previous studies have suggested a trust to resolve this uncertainty. For purposes of the study, we examined how trust affects word-of-mouth effect and third-party assurance. Furthermore, using perceived risk and perceived price as moderating effects, we analyzed to see how each group-that is, those with high perceived risk and low perceived risk and those with high perceived price and low perceived price-shows differences in trust building. The results of empirical study found that both two variables of word-of-mouth effect and third-party assurance have significant impacts in trust building of internet shopping malls. It was proven that each group-those with high perceived risk and low perceived risk and those with high perceived price and low perceived price-showed differences in trust building. The results are expected to provide both the researchers of the trust study and hands-on worker with important implications.

  • In an age where consumers can easily search and pass on their opinions of products and purchasing decisions through the internet, Electronic-word-of-mouth(Ewom) plays an important role in decision making of other potential customers. In this study, we empirically analyze the impact EWOM on consumer purchase decisions, when contradictory Ewom is presented from varying sources of information, such as experts and general consumers. First, we find that when there is a consensus among different information sources there exists a positive relationship between Ewom sentiment and purchase intent, confirming the results of previous literature. However, when expert opinion and consumer opinion do not match we find that consumer opinion is more impactful on purchasing decisions compared to the expert opinion, regardless of product types. The findings of this study add insight to the current literature by examining the effect of contradictory Ewom on purchase decisions, and also to industry marketers by presenting a more efficient strategy in promoting positive Ewom for different product types.
