All interviews were recorded and transcribed into Korean and English. Transcripts were analyzed using the data analysis method described by Diekelmann, Allen, and Tanner. Results: The following 12 themes emerged from the data: 'unprepared to respond', 'lack of education', 'unsure about when behavior crosses the line', 'power differential for nursing students', 'balancing self-preservation with obligations to patients', 'shame', 'feeling responsible for not being able to prevent the harassment', 'impact on patient care', 'fear of what might have happened', 'fear of repercussions', 'long term impact', and 'peer support'. Conclusion: Participants in this study described feeling an obligation to care for their patients. Although a variety of customer relationship management (CRM) activities have been provided by many hospitals in Korea, there lacks empirical evidence on the effect of CRM. The present study was conducted to examine the effect of CRM in terms of the customer response to CRM in a woman's hospital setting. A total of 380 patients receiving inpatient or outpatient care from woman's hospital between October 25 and November 4, 2005 were surveyed for the degree of their experience of and preference for CRM activities of the hospital by 5-point Likert-type scale. Patients were also asked about the level of customer loyalty to the hospital. Eighteen CRM activities offered by the hospital was classified into 4 types of CRM strategies according to Berry and Parasuranman: price, social, structural, and relationship recovery strategy. There's a significant positive correlation between the degree of experience of CRM and preference for CRM(r=0.49, p<0.001). Regression analysis results showed the significant positive relationship between the degree of experience of CRM and customer loyalty(${\beta}$=0.448, p<0.05). Among the 4 CRM strategies, only social(${\beta}$=0.127, p<0.05) and structural strategy(${\beta}$=0.266, p<0.05) showed signifiant positive relationship with customer loyalty. Overall, the favorable customer response to CRM in terms of preference for CRM and customer loyalty indicates that there's a positive effect of CRM on the continuity of the relationship between patients and health care providers.
Altruistic virtuous caring, possibly originated from religion and/or spirituality, is indispensable for holistic health through channeling vital energy with diet, exercise and meditation. This is a participant-observed medical anthropological research of a first generation Korean elderly immigrant health professional woman living in a four generational family. She had hypertension and was concerned about possible attack of stroke. Multi-religious, spiritual, and cosmological vital energy based on holistic Nature-oriented health beliefs and practices influenced by psychosocial, cultural and economic background, education, self- discipline and self-cultivation of individual, and group or family may create health. Self-care beliefs based on confidence in self-control of one's life style for oneself and others influence individual and group health practice. The holistic alternative health beliefs and practices were proved to be efficacious and beneficial by her self-evaluation, evaluation of significant others, biomedical professionals, and laboratory tests. That may have potential application for global health.
Purpose: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of improvement in self-rated health, self-efficacy, perceived benefit and health promotion behavior by running a health promotion program through the coalition of industries, universities and districts. Methods: This study was designed as non-equivalent control group research. Data were collected from 62 participants in a health promotion program who were enrolled in a community center (experimental group: 29, control group: 33). The program was applied from October to November, 2008. The health promotion program was composed of value, competence, action, and policy based on a multi-level health promotion model. Collected data were analyzed through $x^2$ test, t-test, and Wilcoxon test. Results: After participating in the health promotion program, the experiment group showed statistically significant increases in self-efficacy, perceived benefit and health promotion behavior but not in self-rated health. Conclusion: It was proven that the health promotion program enhanced the health promotion level in the community.

This study was carried out to identify how a middle-aged woman's consciousness of the death and self-esteem was affected by whether the hospice volunteer's experience exist or not. As a form of descriptive research, this study, which is based on a structured questionnaire intended for the 191 middle aged women doing volunteer work at the non-profit women's organization, had been conducted twice from May 10, 2010, to May 21, 2010. The results of my research work is followed ; First, a middle-aged woman's consciousness of the death and self-esteem showed significant differences depending on whether the hospice volunteer's experience exist or not. Experienced hospice volunteer group showed a lower consciousness of the death and a higher self-esteem compared to non-experienced hospice volunteer group's case. Second, in case that the results show a high self-esteem, the consciousness of death reach at the low stage. Especially, the experienced hospice volunteer group showed an opposite correlation compared to non-experienced group. Third, Anyone's consciousness of death appeared at a low level when she had a religion and higher education background. Anyone's self-esteem oriented sense appeared at low level when she didn't have religion but rather appeared at high level when the health status of the targeted group was in a good shape. As a result, the hospice volunteer activities can be assumed to increase the middle-aged woman's self-esteem, therefore, turn the consciousness of death into a positive attitude.

Purpose : We aimed to reserch what kind of mother's conditions can be more influential to infant allergic disease among traditional prenatal care. Method : We investigated 91 patients who answered by a questionnaire at Dept. of Pediatrics, Oriental Hospital of Dae-jeon University. We divided patients into two groups, A(normal group;43) and B(allergic disease group;48) and analyzed those. Results : The pregnant women in the group B, generally have worse health conditions and are under the stress mentally and cannot get enough nutrition because of morning sickness and digestive trouble, but take more pungent and powdered food than the group A. Specially, the result is significant in anger and worry among other mental stresses and in digestive trouble and threatened abortion among other health conditions(according to order: p<0.001, p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001). We can see that pregnant woman's peaceful mentality and enough nutrition intake are most important to birth of sound baby in mind and also we can see that pregnant woman's regimen has influence on not only infant disease but also character and the infant allergic diseases are related to inheritable factor.
