A study on Folded Monopole Antenna for Wireless HDMI Dongle Applications (무선 HDMI 동글장치를 위한 폴디드 모노폴 안테나에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a internal antenna for wirless HDMI dongle device using the folded monopole structure. The proposed antenna is for 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. The antenna optimized for parameters length, gap, width, and radius of semicircular of monopole antenna using the 'F' structure. To confirm the characteristics of the antenna parameters, HFSS from ANSYS Inc. was used for the analysis. We used an FR4 dielectric substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. The HDMI dongle size of the proposed antenna is $45{\times}20{\times}1mm$, and the size of the antenna area is $5{\times}20mm$. There is a value of return loss less then -10dB in 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, band and the maximum antenna gain is -4.13dBi. The result proved the possibility of the practical using 'F' structure that came frin comparing and analyzing the measured and simulated data of the antenna.

  • Wireless sensor networks(WSN), which are mainly used for indoor positioning, rely on the accuracy of RSSI. This RSSI is sensitive to several factors that cause interference, and there are foreign studies showing that temperature has a large effect on RSSI in indoor/outdoor environment among several factors. The temperature of the indoor space is uneven due to heat sources or air cooling systems indoors, and temperature changes frequently occur at certain locations. In particular, in case of an indoor fire, the accurate positioning system is required to guide an evacuation route, but a high temperature is locally formed due to a fire around the receiver, so the RSSI value could be influenced. In this paper, the effect on RSSI is studied by analyzing the correlation between SoC internal/local temperature and RSSI.

  • This paper proposes a common platform for an internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal. The common platform can reduce the cost and time to develop an internet-based robot and its operator terminal. The robot performs the role of a server and its terminal a client. One operator can use this terminal to make a command and this command can be sent to the robot through a wireless network. According to given commands, the robot moves a point and sends an image by using a camera or desired information by using other sensors. The information sent from the robot can help an operator to control the robot. The mobile robot consists of two modules, main module and motion module. Main module can exchange information with the operator terminal, process information, and send a command to motion module. Each application program for one internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal will be developed to show that the same platform can be used for them. Also, it will be shown that the robot can be controlled easily by using its operator terminal.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of an inverted-F antenna for the 2.4GHz local wireless communication system have been analysed in terms of the variation of design parameters. The antenna can be integrated on printed circuit board, and the characteristics in terms of the variation of the gap between feed line and shorting stub, gap between antenna's leg and ground plane, antenna leg's width, substrate's height and dielectric constant are analysed. By using these characterization plot of design parameter, the tuning techniques are proposed to design optimum antenna. The designed antenna has 6.4% frequency bandwidth for VSWR under 1.5 and 3dB gain.

  • Wireless Ad hoc Network is threatened from many types of attacks because of its open structure, dynamic topology and the absence of infrastructure. Attacks by malicious nodes inside the network destroy communication path and discard packet. The damage is quite large and detecting attacks are difficult. In this paper, we proposed attack detection technique using secure authentication infrastructure for efficient detection and prevention of internal attack nodes. Cluster structure is used in the proposed method so that each nodes act as a certificate authority and the public key is issued in cluster head through trust evaluation of nodes. Symmetric Key is shared for integrity of data between the nodes and the structure which adds authentication message to the RREQ packet is used. ns-2 simulator is used to evaluate performance of proposed method and excellent performance can be performed through the experiment.

  • The global battery market is rapidly growing due to the development of vehicles(EV) and wireless electronic products. In particular logistics robots, which hielp to produce EVs, have attracted much interest in research in Korea Because logistics sites and factories operate continuously for 24 hours, the technology that can dramatically increase the operation time of the logistics equipment is rapidly developing, and various high-level technologies are required for the batteries used in. for example, logistics robots. These required technologies include those that enable rapid battery charging as well wireless charging to charge batteries while moving. The development of these technologies, however, result in increasing explosions and topical accidents involving rapid charging batteries These accidents due to the thermal shock caused by the heat generated during the charging of the battery cell. In this study, a performance evaluation of a heat dissipation design using infrared thermal imaging was performed on an energy storage systrm(Ess) applied with an internal heat conduction cooling method using a heating plate.

  • A method to improve isolation characteristics of internal MIMO antenna systems for wireless portable devices operating in the $2.3{\sim}2.4$ GHz band is presented. The proposed system incorporates multiple pairs of L-slots between the two antennas in the ground plane, which operate like a band-stop filter, suppressing mutual coupling between the antennas and resulting in improved isolation. A MIMO antenna system with 6 pairs of L-slots shows reflection loss of -26.4 dB and isolation of -37.5 dB.

  • EMAST(Embedded Mobile Automatic System for Telematics) is implemented in SoC using the CAN and ARM Processor. For the general usage, EMAST must satisfy the two condition. First, Mobile internal interface is to be designed to support Differential Transceiver, Optical Transceiver and Wireless Transceiver Second, it should be supporting the interface between terminals using EMAST and telematics networks. In this paper, we propose EMAST structure and the efficient interface structure between EMAST and each mobile units.

  • In this paper, describe the automatic climbing wheelchair system use an articulated crawler mobile robot. This wheelchair system(call system) is composed of sensor detecting part and wireless communication part with PC. The sensor parts are consisted of sloping sensor and ultrasonic sensor part. The sloping sensor measures the sloping angle of system, and the ultrasonic sensor measures the distance of system's front wheel center from stair. PC will generate the operation data to climb up the stair using the measured data and make primitives for the system. At firsts This system transfer from sensor data to the PC. PC calculate the operation data to climb up the stair from the internal algorithm. We simulated the system in various stair angle slope($25^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$), and tested it on the real staircase with width 37cm, highlt 18cm, Angle $26^{\circ}$ . There were $0.350^{\circ}$ - $1.060^{\circ}$ Angle errors while climbing because adapted sensor has a precision $0.35^{\circ}$ in resolution. Finally, We implemented the sensor detecting part and the wireless communication park and practiced our system in 4cm/sec speed.
