A low power concumption 2.4 GHz one-chip transceiver MMIC was designed and fabricated using $1.0\mu\textrm{m}$ ion-implantation MESFET process and packaged on a 24 lead SSOP. In the transmitter mode, it revealed conversion gain of 7.5 dB, output IP3 of -3.5 dBm, and noise figure of 3.9 dB at 2.44 GHz with 3.9 mA current consumption. In the receiver mode, it revealed voltage sensitivity of 6.5 mV/$\mu\$W with 2 .0 mA current consumption. Comparing the fabricated MMIC with the results of MMICs reported elsewhere, it was shown that the fabricated MMIC had good performance. The low power consumption 2.4 GHz transceiver MMIC is expected to be used for various applications such as wireless local area networks, wireless local loops and RFID tags in ISM-band.
This paper presents an efficient user-cooperation protocol associated with cyclic coding for WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks) using LEACH(Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy). Since the proposed user-cooperation requires no CSI(Channel State Information) at both transmitter and receiver, and encoding and decoding of cyclic codes are simple, the processing complexity of sensor nodes is significantly reduced. Simulation results reveal such a combination can save the network energy up to 10dB over single-hop transmission at BER of $10^{-4}$.
Assuming perfect channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter and receiver, the optimization problem of maximizing the minimum Euclidean distance between two received signals by a linear precoder is considered for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with arbitrary dimensions and arbitraryary quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) input. A general precoding framework is first presented based on the Gram matrix, which is shown for 2-dimensional (2-D) and 3-dimensional (3-D) MIMO systems when employing the ellipse expanding method (EEM). An extended precoder for high-dimensional MIMO system is proposed following the precoding framework, where the Gram matrix for high-dimensional precoding matrix can be generated through those chosen from 2-D and 3-D results in association with a permutation matrix. A complexity-reduced maximum likelihood detector is also obtained according to the special structure of the proposed precoder. The analytical and numerical results indicate that the proposed precoder outperforms the other precoding schemes in terms of both minimum distance and bit error rate (BER).

WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) is the standard of high-speed portable internet based on OFDMA/TDD (Orthogonal frequency division multiple access / Time division duplexing) techniques, and the subset of consolidated version of IEEE802.16e Wireless MAN standard. In this paper, we propose performance improvements of WiBro system using the 64QAM SOFM(Self-Organizing Feature Maps)prefiltering. Proposed method used the prefiltering SOFM neural network blind equalization in the Broadband 64 QAM WiBro system receiver. The prefiltering SOFM neural network constellates 64QAM that is transmitter data shape and the blind equalization removes ICI(Inter Carrier Interference). To verificate the proposed method usability, the MSE and the BER are simulated. The simulation results shown that is improved the performances of the proposed WiBro system using the 64QAM SOFM Prefiltering than the existing WiBro system.

There are so many low power MAC protocols for wireless sensor network. IEEE802.15.4 among them has disadvantage of a large power consumption for synchronization. To save power consumption it use the superframe operation alternating sleep mode and awake mode. But latency is longer result from superframe operation. Typical asynchronous B-MAC can have shorter latency according to check interval. But transmitter consumes more power because of long preamble. And receiver is suffering from overhearing. In this paper, we propose the adaptive check interval scheme of B-MAC for enhancing the power consumption and delay latency performance. Its power consumption is evaluated by comparing the proposed scheme with a typical IEEE802.15.4.

Recently we have been facing a number of safety accidents under various environments. Currently, if the people encountered a risk during maritime activities in offshore, rescue efforts have been made only rely on the human perspective and experience. As a result, there are a lot of deaths and disappearances accidents caused by accidents at offshore. These accidents are mainly seen to occur because of the delay in the rescue. In order to reduce the accident according to this rescue delay, we carried out a study on the designing a wireless transmitter and receiver devices that can be used easily with latest IoT technologies including GPS, RF, LoRa wireless communication technology for a rapid rescue.

We make an analysis of maximum allowable transmission output level to get the solution how heterogeneous systems between adjacent channels can be used in TVWS(TV White Space). The two applied systems are WLAN and WiBro and the overall performances are analyzed based on simulation results according to various density and transmission output of interfering transmitter. In order to get the relationship between interfering density of two systems and allowable maximum transmitter output, we consider the case that a WLAN is an interfering transmitter and a WiBro is a victim receiver. Each simulation results, obtained by free space channel model, are analyzed by SEAMCAT. Coexistence results may be widely applied into the technique development to get the coexisting condition for wireless devices using many communication protocols in an adjacent frequency and a same frequency.
In order to supply power to online monitoring systems that are attached to high voltage catenary or overhead wires, a wireless power transfer system is required that is able to transmit power over the insulation gap. Such wireless power transfer systems have transmitter and receiver coils that have diameters of over 10cm. This paper focused on an investigation of the sources of loss in the coils when the coils are fabricated using printed circuit board technology. Using finite element simulation results, it has been shown that the dielectric loss in the substrate was the dominant source of the total loss. It has been demonstrated that the selection of a proper dielectric material was the most critical factor in reducing the loss. For further reduction of the loss, the distributed tuning capacitor method and the slotting of the inter-turn spaces have been proposed. For the evaluation of the proposed methods, four coils have been fabricated and their equivalent series resistances and quality factors were measured. Measured quality factors were greater than 300, which means that these devices will be helpful in achieving high coil-to-coil efficiency.

In this paper, we propose the channel sounding scheme which is made for ideal communication between some application as well as the short distance of high speed data transmission in MIMO-OFDM system for Wireless PAN. This method is able to perceive the duration of the impulse response through the delaying of power delay profile, modeled a power delay profile which has an attenuate characteristic, and obtained the coefficient of channel response by ML (maximum likelihood). Through the amplitudes, phases and delays associated with each multipath component which were acquired from this channel sounding scheme, we can describe the wave propagation characteristics of channels between the transmitter and receiver so that the receiver could enhance not only the reliability but also the ability of communication link. Multi agent system models can be used to analyze the path of the system within any time frame. Further, parameter values can be perturbed to examine how the path of the system changes in response to exogenous shocks.

Recently, location information services are gradually expanding due to the development of information and communication technology. RSSI is widely used to extract indoor and outdoor locations. The indoor and outdoor location estimation methods using RSSI are less accurate due to the influence of radio wave paths, interference, and surrounding wireless devices. In order to improve this problem, a distance estimation method that takes into account the wireless propagation environment is necessary. Therefore, in this study, we propose a distance estimation algorithm that takes into account the radio wave environment. The proposed method estimates the distance by learning RSSI input and output considering the RBF neural network and the propagation environment. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, the performance of estimating the location of the receiver within a range of up to 55[m] using a BLE beacon transmitter and receiver was compared with the average filter and Kalman filter. As a result, the distance estimation accuracy of the proposed method was 6.7 times higher than that of the average filter and Kalman filter. As shown in the results of this performance evaluation, if the method of this study is applied to location services, more accurate location estimation will be possible.
