  • 본 논문은 무선 스피커 시스템을 위한 MB-OFDM UWB 모뎀 설계에 관한 것이다. 기존의 MBOFDM UWB 기술은 근거리에서 고속의 영상 데이터를 전송하는 목적으로 개발되었으나, 기존 기술의 전송거리를 개선을 통하여 실내에서 사용되는 무선 스피커에 적용할 수 있는 무선 스피커 시스템을 위한 MB-OFDM UWB 기술을 제안한다. 본 제안기술에는 기존 규격에는 없었던 리드 솔로몬 기술을 적용하여 수신감도를 개선하여 최고 2dB의 SNR 이득을 얻게 되어 기존대비 최고 26%의 전송거리 증대를 이루었다.

  • This paper describes a COMS IF transceiver IC for 10-MHz bandwidth wireless local loops. It interfaces between the RF section and the digital MODEM section and performs the IF-to-baseband (Rx) and baseband-to-IF (Tx) frequency conversions. The chip incorporates variable gain amplifiers, phase-locked loops, low pass filters, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. It has been implemented in a 0.6 -${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ 2-poly 3-metal CMOS process. The phase-locked loops include voltage-controlled oscillators, dividers, phase detectors, and charge pumps on chip. The only external complonents are the filter and the varactor-tuned LC tank circuit. The chip size is 4 mm $\times$ 4 mm and the total supply current is about 57 mA at 3.3 V.

  • In this paper, we present an SDR (Software Defined Radio) handset modem platform which supports communication systems such as HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), and WiBro (Wireless Broadband Portable Internet). The proposed SDR platform employs DSPs (Digital Signal Processors), FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), and microprocessors in such a way that the various communication functions like HSDPA and WiBro can be programmed and downloaded to the hardware platform. The proposed SDR platform can be used for functional verification of the physical layers of the mobile handset system in the mobile communication network. We first demonstrate the receiving structure of the physical layer of the HSDPA and WiBro system. Then, the hardware implementation of the proposed SDR platform is shown with functions and optimized signal flows required at each mode. Finally, the link performance of each mode operating on the proposed SDR platform is presented through the internal loopback tests with the test vectors. The experimental performance has been compared with the computer simulation results.

  • This paper describes the development of an embedded wireless LAN controller which can be in parallel operated with an existing utility controller. The embedded controller mainly consists of Prism(R) 2.5 chip set and Atmega 128 microcontroller. In order to communicate over the network, the controller including TCP/IP stack (IP, TCP, UDP, and ICMP), telnet, and X/Z modem has been developed. For a specific application, we have proposed an special method to convert data structure between TCP/IP and X/Z modem and a data buffer algorithm to minimize the RAM memory usage. Finally, the correctness and performance of the protocols are tested and verified using $CommView^{(R)}\;and\;DU^{(R)}$. The development is satisfactorily operated only for 3,381 bytes of RAM usage without sacrificing interoperability between hosts.

  • Currently, the drone is considered as a mobile base station of USN as a method to act as a base station using USN in existing LTE-M and LTE networks for data transmission in unmanned ships. Therefore, the drone, which is a mobile base station, is a sink node equipped with an LTE modem or a short-range communication modem, and can collect safety information of ship operation from the sensor node and transmit the safety information to the ship or transmit the information between the ships. As, if a short-range network is formed by using drones, it will form a communication network around unmanned ships and will be advantageous for collecting information using security and environmental sensors. In this paper, we propose a method to transmit environmental sensor data and to utilize communication between ships using drones to secure the surrounding information necessary for AI operation of unmanned ships in the future.

  • In this paepr, a multicode CDMA scheme with serial and parallel structure as the transmission scheme of wireless LAN which can transmit high speed data under an indoor channel environment is modeled and optimal values of several parameters needed for implementing wireless LAN modern system are derived through computer simulation. it is verified that given the transmission bandwidth and maximum data rate, the system performance is improved if increasing spreading gain anf the number of channels or decreasing the data rate of each channel. Especially the parallel structure makes not only the system performance much more improved but also the hardware implementation easier than serial structure under the same condition because the effective chip rate is decreased.

  • In these information-communication society, the wireless system technologies are increasing to do all things with wireless solution for fast and convenient works. This trend drives ubiquitous solutions which are based on broadband wireless network that gives network connection whenever, everywhere. This paper deals a bookshelf management system using plower line communication and RFID module. This system includes a 900 MHz RFID reader, Passive RFID-Tags, an Atmeg128 microprocessor board attached LED Display Module, and a management PC with GUI Software. This system works well in power line communication, tag reading and LED display, and PC Management Software.

  • This paper implement Remote Meter Reading System which is used Bluetooth and SMS in CDMA. This System propose system which tan detect a total amount of gas, electricity or water without a meterman, at home BlueTooth is a close range wireless communication technology which uses a wireless frequency 2.4GHz and has a high trust and self error correction technology according to a low power consumption quality and a high-speed frequency hopping. This makes get a high trust concerning a data transmission than an existing modem. In addition, though wireless modem is restricted by a minimal of a wireless terminal, it will be possible to coincide with the function of the portable with the low power consumption quality by using Bluetooth. And as the system on a chip of module progresses, the possibility of the small size is present. Nowadays, SMS Protocol in CDMA for have a network function based on PPP in CDMA Phone. The proposed Remote Meter Reading System to get more nobility, efficiency, and have good function. SMS Protocol in CDMA have profits which is low power, low cost, and low microwave output.

And the system that the host PC transmits the medical information from the connected Bluetooth module to the Internet has once embedded. this study let the host PC embedded in advance of the existing system and transmit the medical information by the addition of the Tcp/Ip protocol stark under all embedded environments to internet.

  • Steel frame construction in high places entails many risk factors. In order to improve the safety and productivity of steel frame construction, a project to develop a robotic tower-crane has been undertaken. As the first step, a real-time lifting-path tracking system is being developed. In a previous study, a laser-based tracking system was proposed. While a laser-based tracking system requires at least three laser sensors to detect the x, y, z coordinates of a lifted steel member, a GPS-based system has an advantage over the laser-based system, in that the x, y, z coordinates of a lifted steel member can be detected by a single GPS sensor. To improve the accuracy, arelative positioning method using two GPS sensors was proposed in a previous study. This paper reports an improved GPS-based lifting-path tracking system of a tower crane based on an integrated RF modem and GPS system. The results showedthat the RF modem could successfully send the identifier information to a server a maximum distance of 1 km away from the lifted steel beam, and the lifting path information of each beam captured by the GPS-based tracking system was successfully saved together. Also, byusing an improved algorithm for the GPS relative positioning method, the deviation was reduced to 0.61 m on average.
