무선 센서네트워크를 이용한 애완견용 무선 관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Wireless Management System for Pet Dog Using Wireless Sensor Network)

  • This paper proposes a wireless management system for a pet dog using wireless sensor network. The developed intelligent wireless management system is compose of a central control system, auto-feeder, miniguidance robot, and wireless sensing devices. The developed system uses three types of sensed data such as light, temperature, md sounds from a pet dog and surrounded environment respectively. The presented design method using these data provides an efficient way to controlling and monitoring the pet dog. The implemented system can be used as a design framework of portable device for the pet management.

  • Irrigation facilities are spread over demand area in a low density and exposed in the field requiring efficient operation and maintenance. Thus, it could be more efficient to manage an irrigation system when it is with wireless sensor network (WSN) using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) application. A WSN, a kind of ubiquitous sensor network composed of wireless network, RFID and database management system was developed for agricultural water management in terms of operational status and maintenance requirements. Identification code for RFID tag was designed and an application for RFID reader was developed for field data collection, and a database management system was constructed for managing irrigation facility attributes. The system was installed in I-dong irrigation districts in Gyounggi-province, Korea and the operated results showed the applicability of the WSN for agricultural water management.

  • Currently, the commercialization of the $5^{th}$ Generation (5G) service is becoming more prevalent in domestic communication network technology. This has reduced communication delay time and enabled large-capacity data transmission and video streaming services in real-time. In order to keep pace with these developments, K-water has introduced a smart process control system in water purification plants to monitor the status of the water purification process. However, since wireless networks are based on the public Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, communication delay time remains high, and high-resolution video services are limited. This is because communication networks still have a closed structure due to expense and security issues. Therefore, with 5G in its current form, it is very difficult to accommodate future services without improving the infrastructure of its communication networks. In recognition of these problems, this study implemented the authentication and management function of wireless networks on a wired network management system in the K-water Bansong water purification plant. The results confirmed that wired Local Area Network (LAN) services give a higher security performance than an expensive commercial wireless LAN system. This was achieved by using an Internet Protocol (IP) address management system of wired networks and the packet filtering function of the Layer2 (L2) switch. This study also confirmed that it is possible to create a wireless LAN service that is 3.7 times faster than the existing LTE communication network.

Improvement of IoT sensor data loss rate of wireless network-based smart factory management system

  • Data collection is an essential element in the construction and operation of a smart factory. The quality of data collection is greatly influenced by network conditions, and existing wireless network systems for IoT inevitably lose data due to wireless signal strength. This data loss has contributed to increased system instability due to misinformation based on incorrect data. In this study, I designed a distributed MQTT IoT smart sensor and gateway structure that supports wireless multicasting for smooth sensor data collection. Through this, it was possible to derive significant results in the service latency and data loss rate of packets even in a wireless environment, unlike the MQTT QoS-based system. Therefore, through this study, it will be possible to implement a data collection management system optimized for the domestic smart factory manufacturing environment that can prevent data loss and delay due to abnormal data generation and minimize the input of management personnel.

  • 본 논문에서는 우선 센서네트워크를 기반으로 실시간 다중소스 센서데이터 관리시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안된 관리시스템은 대상시스템의 상태를 효율적으로 감시하고 제어하기 위해서 다수의 센서들로부터 수집된 실시간 데이터를 무선으로 서버로 전송하며, 이를 분석하여 동작하도록 설계되었다. 제안된 시스템은 원격지에서 세포배양장치와 같은 다중 소스 센서들을 클러스터 형태로 구성하고, 이들로부터 발생하는 센서데이터를 제어, 전송하며, 각 소스로부터 수신된 데이터를 소스별로 구분하여 관리가 가능하도록 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 전송거리에 따른 전송 지연시간과 다중소스로부터 발생된 데이터 손실률을 측정하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes an integrated mobile sink networks management system which can monitor and control various kinds of wireless lan access points, located in many different areas divided by their managing groups, from multi-vendors, and their operations in networks. The proposed system has the center-local interoperability structure cooperating with local-center servers which can perform the same operations as the central servers for wireless lan access points from multi-vendors and wireless lan centric management features. For this purpose, we propose a new way of data design, messaging policy, and hierarchical system structure such that we can achieve stable and consistent management methods for various wireless access points on distributed networks.

  • The Wireless low floor tram uses the energy more effectively than other systems with onboard battery system. But for this the SOC(state of charge) management of the battery system is required. This paper is focused on the SOC management strategy of battery system for propulsion in wireless low floor tram. For minimizing consumption energy, the SOC management strategy that maximizes the regeneration energy is studied. The SOC operating region is divided to overcome the limited life cycle pointed out as a disadvantage of battery system. And the effective energy management strategy of tram is suggested through the charge/discharge of the battery system according to tram status in catenary/catenary-free section.

  • 지난 10년 동안 인터넷은 빠른 속도로 모든 분야에 확산되어 왔으면 이와 비슷한 현상으로 최근 몇 년 동안 무선 네트워크의 확산 역시 빠른 속도로 보급되고 있는 추세이다. 그리고, 무선 네트워크 공격 시도 및 침입에 성공하는 공격의 횟수도 증가하고 있다. 이런 무선 네트워크 위협을 극복하기 위해 기존의 TMS는 필요에 따라 자동화되고 능동적인 대응 수단을 제공하기도 하지만, 새로운 형태의 무선 공격 등에는 효율적으로 대응하지 못한다는 취약점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정보검색분야에서 사용되는 Vector Space모델을 이용해 실시간으로 유입되는 패킷과의 유사도를 비교하여, 분석된 유사도의 패턴을 분석해 무선 네트워크의 이상 징후를 탐지하고 자동으로 분류하는 기법을 설계했다.

  • Nowadays the role of information systems is getting more and more increased according to the development of information technology. In order to manage complex, various and huge data, it is vital to construct efficient information system. For this effective information system, data have properly to be stored, encoded and represented when needed. This paper presents equipment management information system using wireless application protocol. This system enables us to have remote control of data searching and data management. Also, through the technique of data mining, database resulted from this system can be utilized into expectation and analysis about life-cycle, characteristic, and failure time of equipment, pattern recognition of users, and state of movement, etc.
