  • This paper introduce methods and analysis of a simple wireless sensor concept for detecting and locating faults as well as for load monitoring are presented. The concept is based on distributed wireless sensors that are attached to the incoming and outgoing power lines of secondary substations. A sensor measures only phase current characteristics of the wire it is attached to, is not synchronized to other sensors and does not need configuration of triggering levels. The main novelty of the concept is in detecting and locating faults by combining power distribution network characteristics on system level with low power sampling methods for individual sensors. This concept enables the sensor design to be simple, energy efficient and thus applicable in new installations and for retrofit purposes in both overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.

Reduction of Electromagnetic Field from Wireless Power Transfer Using a Series-Parallel Resonance Circuit Topology

  • In this paper, we implemented and analyzed a wireless power transfer (WPT) system with a CSPR topology. CSPR refers to constant current source, series resonance circuit topology of a transmitting coil, parallel resonance circuit topology of a receiving coil, and pure resistive loading. The transmitting coil is coupled by a magnetic field to the receiving coil without wire. Although the electromotive force (emf) is small (about 4.5V), the voltage on load resistor is 148V, because a parallel resonance scheme was adopted for the receiving coil. The implemented WPT system is designed to be able to transfer up to 1 kW power and can operate a LED TV. Before the implementation, the EMF reduction mechanism based on the use of ferrite and a metal shield box was confirmed by an EM simulation and we found that the EMF can be suppressed dramatically by using this shield. The operating frequency of the implemented WPT system is 30.7kHz and the air gap between two coils is 150mm. The power transferred to the load resistor is 147W and the real power transfer efficiency is 66.4 %.

절연구간운행 고속철도차량 전력품질 특성 분석 (The analysis of power quality characteristics in high speed train through neutral section of catenary system)

  • The neutral section was installed in order to prevent conflict with different phase angle source in electric railway catenary system. The speed of electric train reduced due to coasting operation by notch off when it passed the neutral section. And, the catenary wire was damaged and the accident might be happened because of the arc generation when the electric train passed the neutral section with notch off condition. The inrush current of main transformer installed tiling train is analyzed during the operation of MCB(main circuit break) passing through the neutral section. The instantaneous waveform of load current were analyzed in case of powering and regenerative braking. Inrush current waveform with run of AC railway train showed that inrush current waveform and harmonics, the inrush current generated from main transformer in train has bad effects on power quality problem. In order to reduce these inrush currents, the MCB is connected when the phase angle of voltage is 90 degree. This paper is to measure inrush current and harmonics in main transformer of high speed train in neutral section of electric railway. This measurement report is used to control minimum inrush current in algorithm and power phase angle.

Optimal Shape of Blunt Device for High Speed Vehicle

  • A contact strip shape of a high speed train pantograph system was optimized with CFD to increase the aerodynamic performance and stability of contact force, and the results were validated by a wind tunnel test. For design of the optimal contact strip shape, a Kriging model and genetic algorithm were used to ensure the global search of the optimal point and reduce the computational cost. To enhance the performance and robustness of the contact strip for high speed pantograph, the drag coefficient and the fluctuation of the lift coefficient along the angle of attack were selected as design objectives. Aerodynamic forces were measured by a load cell and HWA (Hot Wire Anemometer) was used to measure the Strouhal number of wake flow. PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) was adopted to visualize the flow fields. The optimized contact strip shape was shown a lower drag with smaller fluctuation of vertical lift force than the general shaped contact strip. And the acoustic noise source strength of the optimized contact strip was also reduced. Finally, the reduction amount of drag and noise was assessed when the optimized contact strip was applied to three dimensional pantograph system.

  • 본 논문에서는 직접 보상전압 추출기법을 이용한 새로운 직렬형 능동전력필터의 제어법을 제안한다. 제안된 직렬형 능동전력필터는 비선형 부하를 갖는 3상 3선식 전력계통에 병렬 수동필터와 함께 사용되어 병렬 수동필터의 단점을 보완하고, 전원측 고조파 저감 효과를 극대화시키는데 기여한다. 제안된 제어법은 직렬형 능동전력필터의 보상전압을 성능함수에 의해 상변환 없이 직접 추출할 수 있다. 따라서 기존의 방법에 비해 연산시간이 짧고, 제어가 보다 간단하다. 실험결과는 제안된 제어법을 이용한 시스템이 고조파 저감에 우수한 성능을 나타냄을 입증한다.

Analytic Model of Four-switch Inverter-fed Driving System for Wye or Delta-connected Motor with Current Ripple Reduction Scheme

  • This paper proposes an analytic model for four-switch inverter (FSI)-driven wye (Y) or delta (Δ)-connected motors with a current ripple reduction algorithm. FSIs employ four switches in controlling three-phase load instead of using six switches. They have split dc-link stage, and due to this inherent structure there exists the voltage difference between upper and lower capacitors, which results in distortion of the inverter output voltage. To study characteristics of FSIs, this paper presents an advanced simulation models of FSI-driven control system for 3-phase motor that can has a wire connection either Y or Δ. In addition, this paper introduces a current ripple reduction scheme that mitigates degradation of control performance due to the voltage difference between the dc-link capacitors. The validity of the proposed method and the analytic model is verified by simulations and experiments carried out with 1-HP induction machine with Y or Δ-connection

  • 본 논문에서는, 다중 플랫폼 기반 비디오 게임을 지원하기 위한 네트워크 게임 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안 시스템은 다수 사용자 게임으로 진행할 수 있도록 설계 하였으며, 실시간 네트워크 게임 진행시 발생되는 네트워크의 부하변동과 지연을 극복할 수 있도록 클라이언트의 초기지연 버퍼링 기법을 이용하여 안정적인 게임진행이 유지되도록 하였다. 또한, 게임 명령의 히스토리 기반 재전송 기법으로 UDP 통신 수단의 패킷 손실 또는 패킷 에러에 대한 단점을 보완하였다.

  • 본 논문은 코일 제작 시 고려사항인 1, 2차측 코일 인덕턴스, 턴수, 크기, 두께, 차폐지 등을 고려하여 리쯔 와이어로 나선형 코일을 제작하는데 이때 반자동화 권선기를 사용하게 된다. 1, 2차측 코일 사양을 정하여 코일을 제작할 때 다양한 사양의 리쯔 와이어와 나선형 코일을 필요로 하게 되는데, 이때 제작 비용, 기간, 제작 시 발생하는 불량 등으로 인해 코일 샘플 제작에 어려움이 발생하고 원하는 사양의 코일 품질 관리에도 어려움이 생기게 된다. 이를 개선하기 위해 2차측의 정류부를 개선함으로써 코일 설계 및 제작 시 다양한 코일 제작 사양의 범위를 좀더 포괄적으로 할 수 있으며 제작 시 발생하는 비용을 줄이고, 기간 단축 및 코일의 품질 관리를 개선하고자 한다.

직렬아크에 대한 전류 및 전압 신호분석이 가능한 Monitoring Program 개발 (Development of Monitoring Program for Detecting Current and Voltage Signals for Series Arc)

  • This paper is aimed to develop monitoring software for detecting the characteristics of current and voltage signals for series arc on electric wire. In order to attain this purpose, the characteristics of series arc were analyzed by the current and voltage signals on electric wire which were installed, and also analyzed by the changes of RMS, instantaneous of waveform value in time domain and THD in frequency domain. Monitoring program which analyze the signal was developed by Labview which can analyze in time domain and frequency domain, and save data. Experimental setup for detecting verification of monitoring program was composed loads of a lamp, an electric heater and an electric fan loads which were usually using. Measurement points for detecting verification of monitoring program were selected at both the panel board and the arc generator at the same time. As results of the experiments by monitoring program, the arc current waveform showed the same characteristic in all measurement points of all load. But the arc voltage waveform was different in each measurement point. When arc occurred, the THD of current value increased above 20%. The results of this study will be effectively used in developing the preventive system of electric fire by series arc.

IEEE 1459-2010 규격의 정의를 이용한 다중 입력 채널을 갖는 전력 감시 시스템 (Power Monitoring System with Multiple Input Channels Using the Definition of IEEE Standard 1459-2010)

  • 본 논문에서는 전력 시스템의 전원 및 부하 측을 동시에 감시가 가능한 다 채널(전압 8채널, 전류 10채널) 전력 측정 시스템을 개발하였다. 제안된 시스템은 전력품질과 관련된 규정인 IEEE 1459-2010의 정의를 사용하여 전력 성분을 계산하는 신호처리 알고리즘을 기반으로 TMS320C42 DSP를 이용하여 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 표준 전원 공급 장치를 이용하여 그 성능 시험을 실시하였고, 그 결과 측정오차는 0.2% 이하로 나타났다. 또한 제안된 시스템을 3상 4선식 전력시스템에 설치하여 실증 시험을 실시하여 그 성능을 입증하였다. 제안된 시스템은 상업 및 산업용 전력 시스템에 적용하여 동시에 다 채널로 전력을 측정 및 분석함으로써 전력품질과 관련된 다양한 문제를 줄일 수 있을 것이다.
