가솔린기관의 점화플러그 위치에서 난류유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Turbulence Flow Characteristics at the Spark Plug Location in S.I. Engine)

  • Several factors of the efficient combustion process are shape of combustion chamber, position of spark plug, turbulence flow and so on. the shape of combustion chamber and position of spark plug are constrained to geometrically, and then it could not make a change the shape easily. But the turlence flow in combustion chamber have a great influence on combustion phenomena, and which is much easier to control relatively. And since characteristics of turbulence flow would be very important to the stability of combustion and performances, This study is also essential to future engine-low emission and lean burn engine. This paper shows that the visualization of the turbulence flow of single cylinder engine by using 2way, $45^{\circ}$ inclined and 2 channel hot wire probe through the park plug hole. We also study the characteristics of turbulence flow by means of ensemble averaged mean velocity, turvulence intensity and integral length scale.

O-ring 을 이용한 원주의 저항감소에 관한 실험적 연구 (Drag Reduction of a Circular Cylinder With O-rings)

  • The flow around a circular cylinder was controlled by attaching O-rings to reduce drag force acting on the cylinder. Four experimental models were tested in this study; one smooth cylinder of diameter D (D=60mm) and three cylinders fitted with O-rings of diameters d=0.0167D, 0.05D and 0.067D with pitches of PPD=1D, 0.5D and 0.25D. The drag force, mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles in the near wake behind the cylinders were measured for Reynolds numbers based on the cylinder diameter in the range of $Re_D=7.8{\times}10^3{\sim}1.2{\times}10^5$. At $Re_D=1.2{\times}10^5$, the cylinder fitted with O-rings of d=0.0167D in a pitch interval of 0.25D shows the maximum drag reduction of about 5.4%, compared with the smooth cylinder. The drag reduction effect of O-rings of d=0.067D is not so high. For O-ring circulars, as the Reynolds number increases, the peak location of turbulence intensity shifts downstream and the peak magnitude is decreased. Flow field around the cylinders was visualized using a smoke-wire technique to see the flow structure qualitatively. The size of vortices and vortex formation region formed behind the O-ring cylinders are smaller, compared with the smooth cylinder.

  • The development of a tilting train with construction of electric line on the conventional railway is required for speed-up on the conventional railway with many curving sections. For development of tilting train, the study and development of the tilting system and tilting bogie having the different mechanism with a general high speed train will play a main role for improving the technology in the field of Korean railway The study and development of the pantograph tilting mechanism in order to keep a good contact behavior between a pantograph and a contact wire by tilting a pantograph on the opposite direction of the vehicle tilting direction. In this study, we analyzed the aerodynamic characteristic of a developing pantograph on the tilting train and obtained the contact force with catenary by aerodynamic lift force by the aerodynamic analysis. We also performed the numerical analysis for design the device controlling lift force on a pantograph. From the aerodynamic simulation and parameter study for a device to control the lift force, we will suggest the various shape and the optimal shape of it corresponding to a developing tilting pantograph. The Fluent software is used for the calculation of flow profile in this study.

  • 유무선 통신기술이 접목된 정보통신 및 제어기술을 이용하는 첨단해양교통시설은 안전한 해양교통 환경을 보장할 수 있는 혁신적인 교통시설이다. 표준화를 기반으로 개발되어진 기술을 통합한 해양교통시설은 항로표지 시스템의 관리와 모니터링 분야에 그 응용기반이 확대되어져 가고 있다. 이러한 해양교통 환경적 변화를 고려하여 해양교통시설에 대한 현황을 파악하고, 해양교통시설 관리시스템 통합의 타당성을 확인하였고, 통합을 구현하기 위한 최적의 방안 및 기존 시스템과의 연계를 통한통합 방안을 제시하였다.

엘리베이터 로프장력 자동조절기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of an Elevator Rope Tension Automatic Equalizer)

  • In this paper, we describe a rope tension automatic equalizer that automatically adjusts several rope tensions connecting the elevator car and the counterweight. The automatic rope tension equalizer is composed of a body, ram, and rope shaft. The body includes a cylinder hole, in which a ram is assembled. A rope shaft is assembled in a hole in the ram. Moreover, the rope is fixed to the rope shaft, with a hole through which fluid can pass between each cylinder hole and the hole of the body. The central concept is that the force of each rope is evenly distributed by the hydraulic pressure between the ram and the body cylinder when the rope is pulled. The thickness of the jaw connecting the small and large diameters of the body of the rope tension automatic equalizer was 15 mm based on structural analysis. The results of the representative experiment to install the produced rope tension equalizer on the elevator revealed it was possible to reduce the rope tension deviation by more than 71 kg.

  • The Train Networks has a goal which requires the fast and correct data communication for distributable equipment systems. For this, in 1999, some train makers had established the standard TCN(IEC61375-1) for the inter-operating between equipment systems. Recently, TCN is being used in EU, China and the requirement to use it is growing up by many other countries more and more. The TCN was adopted at Korea High-speed Train with first in Korea, and Rotem Company finished the design of TCMS with TCN network for Istanbul EMU and KTX-2 Train and tests them. TCN(Train Communication Networks) defines the set of communication vehicle buses and train buses. The MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus) defines the data communication interface of equipment located in a vehicle and the WTB(Wire Train Bus) defines the data communication interface between vehicles. This paper examines whether the result of on-board test is satisfied with the IEC61375-1(International Electrotechnical Commission 61375-1) which is the international standard of TCN and introduce the results.

  • 유무선 통신기술이 접목된 정보통신 및 제어기술을 이용하는 첨단해양교통시설은 안전한 해양교통환경을 보장할 수 있는 혁신적인 해양교통시설이다. 표준화를 기반으로 개발되어진 기술들을 통합한 해양교통시설은 항로표지 시스템의 관리와 원격 모니터링 분야에 그 응용기반이 확대되어져 가고 있다. 이러한 해양교통시설의 환경적 변화를 고려하여 시스템 독립성, 유연성, 확장성 등을 제공하는 해양교통시설 통합관리 시스템에서의 미들웨어 개념을 정의하고, 미들웨어에 적용 가능한 기술들을 조사하였으며 이를 바탕으로 하여 소프트웨어 구조와 인터페이스를 구성하고 그 구현 방안을 연구하였다.

AAA System for PLMN-WLAN Internetworking

  • Integration of mobile networks and Internet has started with 2.5 generation of mobile cellular networks. Internet traffic is today dominant traffic type worldwide. The hanger for higher data rates needed for data traffic and new IP based services is essential in the development of future wireless networks. In such situation, even 3G with up to 2 Mbit/s has not provided data rates that are used by Internet users with fixed broadband dial-up or through wired local area networks. The solution to provide higher bit rates in wireless access network has been found in wireless LAN although initially it has been developed to extend wired LAN into wireless domain. In this paper, we propose and describe a solution created for interoperability between mobile cellular network and WLAN. The integration between two networks, cellular and WLAN, is performed on the authentication, authorization, and accounting, i.e., AAA side. For that purpose we developed WLAN access controller and WLAN AAA gateway, which provide gateway-type access control as well as charging and billing functionalities for the WLAN service. In the development process of these elements, we have considered current development stadium of all needed network entities and protocols. The provided solution provides cost-effective and easy-to-deploy PLMN-WLAN Internetworking scenario.

목재(木材)파아티클과 철선복합(鐵線複合)보오드의 기계적(機械的) 성질(性質)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - 휨강도를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of the Board Composed of Wood Particle and Steel Wire - Focusing on Bending Strength -)

  • When manufacturing beam by laminating particleboards, the mechanical properties of particleboad-laminated beam would be also improved if the properties, especially mechanical properties of particleboad be reinforced. In this study, steel wires were used to reinforce particleboard. This study was carried out to obtain the basic mechanical properties of the board composed of wood particle and steel wires, focusing on bending strength which is the important factors in laminated beam and it was tried to estimate the relationship between the properties of the particleboard-laminated beam. and the proportion of steel wires to wood particles in particleboards. The result obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. The more steel wires used in boards, the higher value of modulus of rupture in bending was obtained, For example. the density 5 board composed of 14 numbers of steel wires showing 55% improved value than control board. 2. The board with lower density was also made better in higher value of elasticity, the density 0.5 board with 14 numbers of steel wires improved by 170%, the density 0.6 board by 86%, the 0.7 board by 37% and the 0.8 board by 26%. 3. The work to maximum load was improved with more steel wires. for example, the density 0.8 board with 14 numbers of steel wires improved by 31%.

편측성대마비환자에서의 성문면적파형(Glottal Area Waveform)의 정량적 측정 (Quantitative Measurement of the Glottal Area Waveform(GAW) in Unilateral Vocal Fold Paralysis)

  • Type Ⅰ thyuroplasty in conjunction with arytenoid adduction is one of the excellent techniques in the treatment of unilateral vocal fold paralysis. But perioperative objective evaluation of the patients is difficult. With the development of the videostroboscopy and image analysis program, we could quantify the Glottal Area Waveform(GAW) in patients with unilateral vocal fold paralysis and investigated the relationship between the glottal area and aerodynamic and acoustic parameters. Eight female patients who were performed type Ⅰ thyroplasty in conjunction with arytenoid adduction and 5 females with normal vocal function were involved in this study. Preoperative and postoperative videostroboscopy and vocal function study wire performed. GAW was analysed quantitatively with image analysis program (Kay Stroboscope Image analysis, KSIP) Peak Glottal Area(PGA), Baseline Offset(BO), and Closing Phase(CP) were increased in patients with unilateral vocal fold paralysis and they were reduced after the operation. Mean flow Rate (MFR) was well correlated with the PGA in normal control group and unilateral vocal fold paralysis patients. Noise to harmonic ratio(NHR) was correlated with PGA only in preoperative unilateral vocal fold paralysis patients. In conclusion quantitative measurement of the GAW is useful method in evaluation of unilateral vocal f31d paralysis patients.
