표면재 및 배후 다공질재의 유형에 따른 복합 흡음구조의 흡음특성 (An Effect Absorption Property of Compound Absorption Structure on the Membranous and the Back Resonator type)

  • Absorbers such as porous materials and panels have limited absorption characteristics to some frequency bands. There is a need for absorbers with high absorption coefficients in a wide frequency ranges to make good response of room acoustics. This is almost impossible for a single absorption material. Composite absorption structure with cover, porous material. and air gap is known to have those wide frequency characteristics. In this basis. various composite absorption structures are measured and investigated as wide range absorption structures. Measurements are performed according to an international standard, ISO 354. Various surface types such as wooden slits, wood/steel perforated panels are selected as surface covers, and also various porous materials such as polyurethanes, polyesters, and glasswools are used inside the covers. Result shows that the area of void parts of surface materials is critical to high frequency absorptions, and thickness of air gaps are critical factor of the peak absorptions of low frequency bands.

기준국 수에 따른 다중 위성항법 광역보정시스템의 전리층 지연 추정 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Ionospheric Delay Estimation for Multi-Constellation WA-DGNSS According to the Number of Reference Stations)

  • 광역보정시스템(WA-DGNSS; wide area differential GNSS)의 정확성을 향상시키기 위해서는 GPS 오차 요인 중 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 전리층 지연 오차에 대한 추정 성능이 향상되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전리층 지연 추정 성능 향상을 위해 미국의 GPS, 러시아의 GLONASS, 유럽의 Galileo와 같은 각 국의 다양한 위성항법시스템을 통합하여 광역보정시스템 알고리즘에 적용해보았다. 그리고 기준국 수를 증가시키면서 한반도 지역의 전리층 지연 추정 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석해보았다. 그 결과 추정에 사용한 측정치의 수가 비슷함에도 불구하고 기준국 수를 증가시키기보다는 다중 위성항법을 사용하는 것이 전리층 지연 추정 성능 향상에 더 효과적임을 확인하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 단일 주파수 SBAS (satellite based augmentation system) 사용자의 전리층 지연 추정 성능을 향상시키기 위한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • GPS 오차를 보정하기위한 시스템 중에서 광역보정시스템은 여러 개의 기준국 네트워크로부터 데이터를 수집하여 3차원 위성궤도 오차, 위성 시계오차, 서비스 지역의 전리층 지연 오차를 추정한다. 추정된 보정정보는 사용자에게 방송되고, 사용자는 더 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 위치를 계산 할 수 있다. 이러한 광역보정시스템의 성능은 기준국의 배치에 따라 차이를 보일 수 있으므로 적절한 기준국 선정을 위해서는 기준국 네트워크 변화에 따른 성능 분석이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 한국에서의 광역보정시스템 성능을 기준국 조합을 변경하면서 시뮬레이션 테스트를 수행하였고, 그에 따른 성능 변화를 제시하였다.

  • 현재 제공되는 인터넷 서비스들의 동작 특성은 기존에 고려되던 트래픽 특성과는 완전히 다른 자기 유사성(Self-similarity)이라는 성질을 가진다는 것이 증명되었다. 자기 유사성은 장기간 의존성으로 표현되는데, 이것은 단기간 의존성 성질을 갖는 기존의 모델인 포아송(Poisson) 모델과는 상반되는 개념이다 따라서 차세대 통신망의 설계 및 디멘져닝을 위해서는 무엇보다도 데이터 트래픽의 주요 특성인 버스트성(Burstiness)과 자기유사성이 반영된 트래픽 모델이 요구된다. 여기서 자기유사성은 허스트 파라미터(Hurst Parameter)로 특성화 될 수 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문에서는 데이터 트래픽 특성이 서로 다른 다수의 데이터 트래픽의 통합되어 통신망에 입력되는 경우 주요 파라미터인 허스트 파라미터의 변화를 다양한 환경 하에서 분석하였고 이를 시뮬레이션 결과와도 비교하였다.

무인차량용 3차원 영상처리를 위한 16-채널 CMOS 인버터 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 (A 16-channel CMOS Inverter Transimpedance Amplifier Array for 3-D Image Processing of Unmanned Vehicles)

  • This paper presents a 16-channel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) array implemented in a standard $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology for the applications of panoramic scan LADAR (PSL) systems. Since this array is the front-end circuits of the PSL systems to recover three dimensional image for unmanned vehicles, low-noise and high-gain characteristics are necessary. Thus, we propose a voltage-mode inverter TIA (I-TIA) array in this paper, of which measured results demonstrate that each channel of the array achieves $82-dB{\Omega}$ transimpedance gain, 565-MHz bandwidth for 0.5-pF photodiode capacitance, 6.7-pA/sqrt(Hz) noise current spectral density, and 33.8-mW power dissipation from a single 1.8-V supply. The measured eye-diagrams of the array confirm wide and clear eye-openings up to 1.3-Gb/s operations. Also, the optical pulse measurements estimate that the proposed 16-channel TIA array chip can detect signals within 20 meters away from the laser source. The whole chip occupies the area of $5.0{\times}1.1mm^2$ including I/O pads. For comparison, a current-mode 16-channel TIA array is also realized in the same $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology, which exploits regulated-cascode (RGC) input configuration. Measurements reveal that the I-TIA array achieves superior performance in optical pulse measurements.

Distribution of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Farmed Oysters (Crassostrea gigas) around Tongyeong, Korea

  • To evaluate the culture conditions in oyster-farming waters, chemical and biological measurements were made in seawater and oysters from six bays around Tongyeong in November and December 2003. Nutrient levels in the seawater were higher in the western area than in the eastern area, in contrast to particulate organic matter and dissolved oxygen levels. The mean total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon ({\sum}PAH) content of the oysters was 194.5-375.9 ng/g dry weight, with four-ring compounds constituting 34.1%-79.6% of PAH. Despite wide temporal variations, a "western > eastern" spatial distribution of PAH was apparent. These low concentrations of PAHs indicate that Tongyeong waters are pristine in terms of PAH contamination. Among the hemocytic biomarkers, only lysosomal activity was significantly reduced in Hansan-Goje Bay, but did not correlate closely with PAH content. This finding indicates that the impact of PAH on cultured oysters is negligible around Tongyeong waters.

시추공 물리탐사를 통한 지반물성과 암상과의 상관성 분석 (Relationship between lithology and rock physical property using borehole prospecting)

  • 시추공영상자료와 시추조사에서의 RQD자료 및 완전파형음파검층에 의해 측정된 탄성파속도를 이용하여 각 암상에서의 탄성파속도와 RQD와의 상관관계를 검토하였다. 탄성파속도와 절리틈과의 상관관계는 유성일대의 화강암과 팔당일대의 호상 편마암에서 높은 상관성을 보인 반면, 사북일대 퇴적암에서 상관성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 사북지역의 퇴적암에서는 상관성이 없고, 특히 누적 절리틈이 0∼20mm구간에서 탄성파속도 분포의 분산이 크게 나타나며, 이는 탄질 세일의 파쇄구간이 넓게 분포하여 절리틈 크기의 측정에 무리가 있었을 것으로 추측된다.

도시공원에 식재된 왕벚나무 수종을 중심으로 한 수목활력도의 정량평가지표 개발 및 이론적 고찰에 관한 연구 (Indicators for the Quantitative Assessment of Tree Vigor Condition and Its Theoretical Implications : A Case Study of Japanese Flowering-cherry Trees in Urban Park)

  • The vigor condition of trees is an important indicator for the management of urban forested area. But difficulties in how to assess the tree vigor condition still remain. Previous efforts were limited in the 1) measurement of single indicator rather than using multiple indices, 2) purpose-oriented measurement such as for air-pollution effect or specific pathological symptom, and 3) ordinal-scale evaluations by field crews 4) despite human errors based on his/her experiences or prior knowledge. Therefore, this study attempted to develop a quantitative and objective methodology for assessing tree vigor condition, by measuring multiple modules and building the profile inventory. Furthermore, the possibility and limitations were discussed in terms of schematic frames describing tree vigor condition. The vigor condition of 56 flowering cherry plants in urban park were assessed by in-situ measurements of following eight items; growth of crown(Gc), growth of shoots, individual tree volume(Vol), plant area index, woody area index, leaf area index, leaf chlorophyll content(Lc) and leaf water content(Lw). For validation, these measurements were compared with the ranks of holistic tree vigor condition, which were visually assessed using a 4-point grading scale based on the expert's knowledge. As a result, the measures of each evaluation item successfully highlighted a variety of aspects in tree vigor condition, including the states of both photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic parts. The variation in the results depending on evaluated parts was shown within an individual tree, even though the broad agreement among the results was found. The result of correlation analysis between the tested measurements and 4-point visual assessment, demonstrated that the state of water-stressed foliage of the season (Lw) or the development of plant materials since sapling phase (Vol) could be better viewed from the outer appearance of trees than other symptoms. But only based on the visual assessment, it may be difficult to detect the quality of photosynthesis (Lc) or the recent trend in growth of trees (Gc). To make this methodology simplified for the broad-scale application, the tested eight measurements could be integrated into two components by principal component analysis, which was labelled with 'the amount of plant materials' and 'vigor trend', respectively. In addition, the use of these quantitative and multi-scale indicators underlies the importance of assessing various aspects of tree vigor condition, taking into account the response(s) on different time and spatial scale of pressure(s) shown in each evaluated module. Future study should be advanced for various species at diverse developing stages and environment, and the application to wide areas at a periodic manner.

원격 수질 측정을 위한 현장 초분광 복사계 및 수중 구성성분 관측 자료 분석 (Analysis of Hyperspectral Radiometer and Water Constituents Data for Remote Estimation of Water Quality)

  • 복사계 장비를 이용하여 수질을 원격으로 추정하는 기술은 광역 수권환경의 변화를 모니터링함에 있어서 효과적인 수단을 제공한다. 위성 또는 유무인 항공기 등의 플랫폼과 결합되어 사용될 시, 광역 수질정보 획득에 소요되는 비용 및 시간을 절감할 수 있다. 정확한 원격 추정 알고리즘을 개발하기 위해서는 다양한 광학적 환경에서 획득된 현장 관측 자료의 확보가 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 조사지역의 광학적 환경을 분석하기 위하여, 초분광 복사량 및 수중 구성물질에, 그리고 그 구성물질의 광학적 특성에 대한 자료가 획득되었다. 조사해역으로 설정된 통영 인근 해역에 대한 관측자료를 분석한 결과, 조사해역은 광학적으로 복잡한 해역임이 나타났고, 일부 정점에서 적조생물을 포함한 수괴가 발견되었다. 또한, 각 수중 구성성분이 원격탐사 반사도 및 흡광계수에 미치는 영향에 대한 정성적인 분석결과를 제공한다.

Automatic 3D soil model generation for southern part of the European side of Istanbul based on GIS database

  • Automatic large scale soil model generation is very critical stage for earthquake hazard simulation of urban areas. Manual model development may cause some data losses and may not be effective when there are too many data from different soil observations in a wide area. Geographic information systems (GIS) for storing and analyzing spatial data help scientists to generate better models automatically. Although the original soil observations were limited to soil profile data, the recent developments in mapping technology, interpolation methods, and remote sensing have provided advanced soil model developments. Together with advanced computational technology, it is possible to handle much larger volumes of data. The scientists may solve difficult problems of describing the spatial variation of soil. In this study, an algorithm is proposed for automatic three dimensional soil and velocity model development of southern part of the European side of Istanbul next to Sea of Marmara based on GIS data. In the proposed algorithm, firstly bedrock surface is generated from integration of geological and geophysical measurements. Then, layer surface contacts are integrated with data gathered in vertical borings, and interpolations are interpreted on sections between the borings automatically. Three dimensional underground geology model is prepared using boring data, geologic cross sections and formation base contours drawn in the light of these data. During the preparation of the model, classification studies are made based on formation models. Then, 3D velocity models are developed by using geophysical measurements such as refraction-microtremor, array microtremor and PS logging. The soil and velocity models are integrated and final soil model is obtained. All stages of this algorithm are carried out automatically in the selected urban area. The system directly reads the GIS soil data in the selected part of urban area and 3D soil model is automatically developed for large scale earthquake hazard simulation studies.
