New display technologies including LCD and plasma panels and Digital Light Projection (DLP) systems all offer large screens and impressive picture quality. However, flat-panel displays require a sophisticated picture processing to let these panels perform at their optimum levels. This paper explains why motion compensating techniques combined with frame rate conversion and quasi-impulse driving reduces motion blur and film judder for flat panel displays and presents the IC and its system application using this technique.

The first part of the paper concerneded about the history, meaning and function of the aromatherapy. And the next part is about the therapeutic effects by the inhalation fragrance or permeation of essential oil through the skin, which are all based on the recent experiments. Today, the aromatherapy is public interest in the world. And also many cosmetic companies have been making use of the aromatherapy as the concept of their new products. But any Korean manufacturer has not taken the application of the aromatherapy in the cosmetics. Why we can't do this. Therfore I try to explain this problem at the last part of the paper and also introduce some Aromatherapy products.

The usefulness of analysis of variance(ANOVA) estimates of variance components is impaired by the frequent occurrence of negative values. The probability of such an occurrence is therefore of interest. In this paper, we investigate a variety of reasons for negative estimates under one way random effects model. It can be shown, through simulation, that this probability increases when the number of treatments is too small for fixed total observations, unbalancedness of data is severe, ratio of variance components is too small, and data may contain many outliers.

Support vector machine(SVM) is a new and very promising regression and classification technique developed by Vapnik and his group at AT&T Bell laboratories. This article provides a brief overview of SVM focusing on linear regression. We explain from statistical point of view why SVM might be attractive and how this could be compared with other linear regression techniques. Furthermore. we explain model selection based on VC-theory.

The significant role of transportation system for economic development process has been recognized, but the argument that transportation improvements stimulate economic development has brought sometimes no resonance in lacking of a plausible theory on the conditions and process of economic development by transportation investment. This paper reviews the theory on regional differentiation of transportation system and shows why and how the installation of a new transportation system or the improvements of the old transportation quality differentiate the spatial order of economic activities. It presents the interaction between the change of transportation quality with introducing of definition "transportation value" as tool of its determination and economic activities following the regional differentiation process, which result means regional defferentiation of niveau of economic development.

In this paper, I explain why local obviation (Condition B of Chomskys binding theory) should be viewed as a relative phenomenon, and establish a correlation between Local Obviation (henceforth LO) effects and the Referential Hierarchy of Korean anaphors proposed in Lee (1997): ku (he) > caki (self) > casin (self) > cakicasin (selfself) = selo (each other). I show that LO characterized as a relative phenomenon may enable us to view Conditions B and C of the binding theory simply as an instantiation of varying degrees of (long distance) disjoint reference effects on the same continuum.

An audit tracer is one of the last ways to defend an attack for network equipments. Firewall and IDS which block off an attack in advance are active way and audit tracing is passive way which analogizes a type and a situation of an attack from log after an attack. This paper explains importance of audit trace function in network equipment for security and defines events which we must leave by security audit log. We design and implement security audit system for secure router. This paper explains the reason why we separate general audit log and security audit log.

We wanted to elucidate the reason why the trityloxymethyl substituent in $\gamma$-trityloxymethyl-$\gamma$­butyrolactone takes a sterically unfavorable specific conformation, and so we synthesized 5-trityloxymethyldihydrofuran-3-one, 3-(trityloxymethyl)-4-butanolide and 2-trityloxymethyl- tetrahy­drofuran and we then analyzed their conformation by $^{1}H-NMR$ analysis.

For the life estimation of CCFLs in edge-lit LCD modules has been required CCFL blackening test, which is executed in the state of low current and long-time operation under the high temperature condition. We investigated the reason why CCFL blackening happened more easily in the above test conditions and the way how mechanical parts had influence upon CCFL blackening in the edge-lit LCD modules.

Composite resin have very important roles as a esthetic fillng material. Today we are confusing by a numerous number of the polymer options in the market. Are there any complications such as tooth sensitivity? Do they have stabilization in the long term aspect? These are the reasons why many dentists don't use composite resin in my country. But the problems can be overcome by choosing the best suited materials and meticulous clinical procedures. So that we are able to expand our clinical boundary. I would like to introduce the clinical techniques of Dr.Gordon Christensen in Utah, and overall clinical cases under the base of CRA newsletter.
