차륜답면의 형상변화에 의한 접촉응력분포 해석 (Contact Stress Analysis on the Variation of Wheel Profile)

  • Mechanical force acted on the rail wheel causes excessive wear and increases the maintenance cost. The present paper proposes newly designed wheel profiles in order to reduce the contact stress. Numerical analysis on the stress distribution of wheel-rail contact stress is carried out using ABAQUS, a commercial finite element code. The result of KNR1/40 conical wheel is compared to those of the proposed wheels, all of which are arc wheel profile type.

  • Wheel/Rail geometric constraint relationships, such as effective conicity and gravitational stiffness, strongly influence the lateral dynamics of railway vehicles. In general, these geometric contact characteristics are nonlinear functions of the wheelset lateral displacement. There is a need to develop a wheel/rail contact simulation program for wheels and rails with arbitrary profiles for the prediction of the dynamic behavior of railway vehicles. An algorithm to simulate any combination of wheels and rails is employed and a GUI for easy analysis is constructed. The simulation program is applied to KTX which will run on both KTX and conventional rails, two rail standards having different rail profiles.   • Fatigue crack in most rails take place by rolling contact between wheel and rail in railway industry. Therefore, it is critical to understand the rolling contact phenomena, especially for the three-dimensional situation. In this paper the steady-state rolling contact problem of KTX wheel and rail (UIC60) has been studied with three-dimensional finite element analysis. The variation of contact pressure and contact stresses on rolling contact surface were obtained using the finite element method. The three-dimensional distribution of contact stresses on the contact surface are investigated. Results show that the distribution of shear stress and contact stress (von Mises) on the contact surface varies rapidly as a result of the variation of stick-slip region. The contact stress at the leading edge is greater than at the trailing edge because of stick and slip phenomena.

  • characteristic of wear between wheel and rail is important factor of judgement to maintenance. KHST is optimized on an exclusive rail, UIC60. but also KHST is running on the variety existing line as well as KS50N, KS60 et,c. Hail profile of KS50N is dissimilar to DIC60. So we can predict that characteristic of wear is embodied also different. In this paper. we deduced the force and point of contact position between wheel and rail through multi-dynamics analysis and predicted wear of wheel and rail through contact problem analysis. we used simplified theory of kallker on contact problem, and Predicted the wear phenomenon of wheel using archard wear equation about each condition.

철도 차륜 및 레일 진동 특성 해석을 통한 전동 소음 모델 연구 (Study on the Rolling Noise Model Using an Analysis of Wheel and Rail Vibration Characteristics)

  • 전동 소음은 철도의 주요한 소음 중 하나이며, 차륜과 레일의 음향 조도에 의해 차륜 및 레일이 진동하면서 발생한다. 이러한 전동 소음의 저감 대책을 수립하기 위해서는 관련 인자들의 영향을 파악할 수 있는 예측모델이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 차륜과 레일의 진동 특성을 이용해 전동 소음을 예측하기 위한 모델링에 관해 다루었다. 슬라브 도상 궤도에 대하여 1단 이산 탄성 지지 구조를 가진 보로 모델링 하였으며, 차륜 진동은 유한요소법을 이용한 수치해석을 적용하였다. 수직 및 수평방향 차륜-레일 집촉력들의 연성은 선형 Hertzian 접촉이론으로 모델링 하였고, 차륜과 레일의 진동 응답을 계산한 후 방사되는 소음을 예측하였다. 예측 모델의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 시험차량에 대해 전동 소음을 측정하였다. 예측치가 측정치와 잘 일치하였으며, 특히 전동 소음이 주요하게 기여하는 200~4000Hz 주파수 대역에서 유사한 경향으로 나타남을 확인하였다.

  • A wheel and axle failure can cause a derailment with its attendant loss of life and property. The service conditions of railway vehicles have become severe in recent years due to a general increase in operating speeds. Damages of railway wheel are a spatting by wheel/rail contact and thermal crack by braking heat etc. One of the main source of damage is a residual stress. therefore it is important to evaluate exactly. A Residual stress of wheel is formed at the process of heat treatment when manufacturing. it is changed by contact stress developed by wheel/rail contact. Distributions of residual stress vary according to a magnitude of wheel load, a magnitude of friction when acceleration and deceleration. The objective of this paper is to estimate the influence of wheel motion on the residual stress distribution in the vicinity of the running surface.

  • Safety from derailment has been evaluated according to the magnitude of the derailment coefficient, which does not always ensure sufficient safety evaluation, and is not necessarily helpful in clarifying the mechanism of derailment. When wheel rolls, point of contact between wheel and rail was change continuously and flange touches with rail. Established gauge so that can measure location of contact point between wheel and rail by strain gauge. Also, wish to describe result that compose bridge circuit and execute load test.
