원판의 반작용을 이용한 역진자의 강인 자세 제어 (Robust Position Control of a Reaction Wheel Inverted Pendulum)

  • 본 논문에서는 원판의 반작용을 이용하는 역진자의 강인 자세 제어를 위한 강인 제어 기법을 소개한다. 이를 위해 원판 반작용을 이용하여 자세 조정이 가능한 시스템을 설계한다. 설계된 시스템의 수학적 모델을 구하고 그 수학적 모델을 이용하여 제어기를 설계한다. 설계한 강인 제어 기법은 두 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 초기에는 역진자의 swing up을 위한 수동성 기반의 제어기(passivity based control)를 사용하고 역진자의 자세가 수직 위치 근방에 오면 강인 안정화 제어기로 제어기를 변경한다. 강인 안정화 제어기가 필요한 이유는 역진자 시스템에서 관성 모멘트를 불확실성을 다루기 위함이다. 모의 실험과 실제 실험을 통해 제안하는 제어기가 효과적으로 원판 반작용에 기반한 역진자의 자세 제어를 달성함을 보인다.

  • This paper presents a two-wheel balancing mobile robot with linear workspace extension structures. The two-wheel mobile robot has two linear motions at the waist and shoulder to have extended workspace. The linear motion of the waist and shoulder provides some structural advantages. A dynamic equation of the simplified robot system is derived. Simulation studies of the position control of the robot system are performed based on the dynamic equations. The dynamic relationship between a two-wheel mobile system and linear extension mechanism is observed by simulation studies.

  • This paper aims to clarify the effects of grinding conditions in form grinding of Sr-ferrite with the electro-plated diamond wheel. The main conclusions obtained were as follows. (1) The flexural strength and surface roughness of ferrite became the best at the peripheral wheel speed of 1700 m/min. (2) In the case of the depth of cut larger than 0.4mm, crack layers is induced in the ground surface, and the fracture type of chips exhibits slight ductile mode in the depth of cut smaller than 0.2mm. (3) Whe the depth of cut exceeds 0.6mm, the wheel life becomes extremely severe due to the large chipping and brack- age in the diamond grains. However, at the depth of cut .leq. 0.05mm, the diamond grain shows abrasive wear. (4) The decrease of flexural strength and the increase of surface roughness is in proportion to the increase of the feed rate. (5) Most effective nozzle setting angles with various delivery conditions of the grinding fluid, such as nozzle position .PHI. , flow rate Q, etc., were made clear.

  • Safety from derailment has been evaluated according to the magnitude of the derailment coefficient, which does not always ensure sufficient safety evaluation, and is not necessarily helpful in clarifying the mechanism of derailment. When wheel rolls, point of contact between wheel and rail was change continuously and flange touches with rail. Established gauge so that can measure location of contact point between wheel and rail by strain gauge. Also, wish to describe result that compose bridge circuit and execute load test.

  • Planetary exploration rovers are likely to make a trip on a winding and sloping road of irregular surfaces to the destination in order to accomplish scientific missions. One of the key technologies for rovers is a suspension for traveling and performing exploration missions; the suspension is an essential area of technology for a stable movement of a rover. In this study, an 8-wheel suspension is designed to enable efficient climbing of slopes on a passage to the destination. For the two front wheels among the eight wheels, the moment at the pivot connecting two wheels is derived when the distance between the wheels and the torque of wheels are same. A test experiment was performed to compare the magnitude of moment according to the change in tilt angle and the position of the pivot. Finally, a suspension design considering the position of the pivot was proposed to enhance the hill-climbing performance.

이륜 이동로봇의 균형 제어를 위한 시간지연 제어기의 실험 연구 (Experimental Studies of a Time-delayed Controller for Balancing Control of a Two-wheel Mobile Robot)

  • 본 논문에서는 두 바퀴 구동 이동로봇(이륜이동로봇)의 균형제어에 대해 논한다. 이륜이동로봇은 두 바퀴로 구동되며 균형을 유지하면서 목표점으로 이동하는 이동로봇이다. 선형제어기인 PD제어기로 균형을 유지할 수 있지만 강건한 제어를 위해서 비선형제어인 시간지연제어기를 사용하였다. PD제어기와 시간지연 제어기의 성능을 비교하기 위해 이륜이동로봇에 적용하여 실험하였다. 로봇의 각도를 위해 시간지연제어방식, 위치제어를 위한 시간지연제어방식, 그리고 각도와 위치 제어를 위한 시간지연제어 방식 등 3가지로 나누어서 실험을 시행하였다. 제어기의 이득값을 달리하며 실험을 통해 시스템의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • Odometry using wheel encoders is one of the fundamental techniques for the pose estimation of wheeled mobile robots. However, odometry has a drawback that the position errors are accumulated when the travel distance increases. Therefore, position errors are required to be reduced using appropriate calibration schemes. The UMBmark method is the one of the widely used calibration schemes for two wheel differential drive robots. In UMBmark method, it is assumed that odometry error sources are independent. However, there is coupled effect of odometry error sources. In this paper, a new calibration scheme by considering the coupled effect of error sources is proposed. We also propose the test track design for the proposed calibration scheme. The numerical simulation and experimental results show that the odometry accuracy can be improved by the proposed calibration scheme.

차륜/레일간의 접촉력 계산을 위한 접촉점 해석 알고리즘 (Contact Point Analysis for Wheel/Rail Contact Force Calculation)

  • In this paper, descibed was the derived algorithm for calculating contact point between wheel and rail and the developed method for rail modeling. The proposed methods use travelling distance to represent rail center line position vector and rail orientation with respect to Newtonian reference frame. The methods call be easily used ill multibody dynamic analysis. Two numerical examples are shown to verify the validity of the proposed methods.

  • For checking influence of load-position and system of stress-transmission in precast concrete bridge deck system, the test composite bridge was made a experiment by the wheel load machine. The result of experiment was the loop joint system of the precast decks has a difference which was the transmission system of longitudinal stress, comparing with general RC bridge deck system. The loop joint system has a behavior independently.

  • This paper describes the automation of the surface grinder for a grinding wheel by application of programmable logic controller(PLC) with a position sensor, and a limit switch. The control system is designed to provide feeding a workpiece on the turn table and pressing it by the upper disk automatically. In this development the automation of checking the thickness of a grinding wheel is most important. In order to measure the relative displacement, the proximity sensors were employed and the sensitivities of the sensors were investicated and discussed the superiority. It has been shown by model experiment that the automation system of the surface grinder is performed satisfactory.
