This paper attempted to describe the relationships among agricultural extension, rural adult education and community development, which has developed as a disciplinary major (ag. extension in 1971, rural adult education in 1990 and community development in 1997) at the College of Agriculture and Life Science, Seoul National University. Reviewing the related literatures and observing the practical rural development in the Republic of Korea, conclusion was made in such a way that agricultural extension - rural adult education - community development be natural series of disciplinary development process as well as practical development in industrializing and urbanizing country like the Republic of Korea.

This research aims at exploring what Korean teachers of English need for their effective professional development, particularly from the perspectives of peer trainers who are school teachers as well as teacher trainers. The research is based on an assumption that despite the critical roles of peer trainers in the changing process of English education, very little attention has been paid to listening to their voices. Having an awareness of the meaningfulness of their voices in teacher education, the researcher collected and analyzed the data, employing a questionnaire responded by 32 peer trainers and in-depth group interview with 6 peer trainers who responded the questionnaire. The research findings suggest that the majority of peer trainers believe that the priority should be put on teaching practice rather than language competence for Korean English language teacher development. It has been found that they believe that teacher learning within the workplace with some support from outside experts is the most effective way of making classroom change possible and keeping teachers' professional development sustainable. Finally, the research suggests school-based professional development as an alternative strategy to satisfy their needs on effective and sustainable professional development.

Does financial development contribute to economic growth? The literature finds that an expansion in financial resources is useful for economic growth if the degree of financial development is under a certain threshold; otherwise, the expansion is detrimental to growth. Almost every published study, however, considers country-panel data. Accordingly, the results are not directly applicable to the Korean economy. By examining Korean time-series data, this paper finds that there is an inverse U-shaped relationship between the per capita real GDP growth rate and private credit (as a percentage of nominal GDP)-a well-known measure of quantitative financial development, where the threshold is 171.5%. This paper also finds that private credit is positively associated with economic growth if the share of household credit out of private credit is less than 46.9%; otherwise, private credit is negatively associated with economic growth. As of 2016, the ratio of private credit to GDP and the ratio of household credit to private credit are both higher than the corresponding thresholds, which implies that policymakers should place more emphasis on qualitative financial development than on a quantitative expansion of financial resources.

The concept of inclusive development provides equal opportunities for all participants in access to the labor market and resource allocation. This concept emphasizes the equality of human capital, the ecological state of the environment, social protection and food security. This concept is fundamentally different from the standard perception of economic growth, because it has broader goals than simply increasing incomes and GDP. It rejects the position that positive results are an automatic consequence of growth; here the basic condition is human development and increase of its well-being, reduction of poverty. Therefore, it is not the result of distribution that becomes primary, but the involvement in the process of social reproduction. An alternative system of characterization of the country's position according to the resulting indicator of the Inclusive Development Index was presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In this research the methodical development of the system of estimation of the index of inclusive development for regions of the NUTS 4 level of the European classification is resulted.

It is well-known that leading firms are more innovative than others, with far more sales from new products. This paper suggests that what kinds of creatively techniques can be a, pp.ied to new product development process for the purpose of commercial success. Both divergent and convergent techniques are considered at each stage of new product development process. Some typical creativity techniques such as boundary examination, bug list, manipulative verbs, morphological analysis, SCAMPER, and TRIZ are explained with case examples.

A process model including the effects of both the texture development and ductile damage evolution In plane strain rolling is presented. In this process model, anisotropy from deformation texture and deterioration of mechanical properties due to growth of micro voids are directly coupled Into the virtual work expressions for the momentum and mass balances. Special treatments in obtaining the initial values of field variables in the nonlinear simultaneous equations for the anisotropic, dilatant viscoplastic deformation are also given. Mutual effects of the texture development and damage evolution during plate rolling are carefully examined in terms of the distribution of strain components, accumulated damage, R-value as well as yield surfaces.

General aspect of marine ranching programme in Korea was introduced. It contains the status of Korean fisheries industry, background and the scope of ranching project being conducted by KORDI since 1996. Long term plan for the marine ranching programme as a national project is also introduced including socio-economic analysis of project as well as economic impact of investment.

The reduction of product development time is exposed to the competitive pressure due to shortened product-and production technology lifecycles as well as increasingly dynamic markets. Specially in automobile companies, that is of major importance for designing die because it is a bottleneck process in the development of a new car. To improve this conventional design process, this paper describes how to design it fast and flexibly. This was done by a modular method using standard template and a feature and knowledge based design method along the design process.

This research aims to understand consumers' imagination as a subjective experience which can be evoked by marketing stimuli. The characteristics and types of imagination are identified, upon which an imagination scale was developed. Results of the scale development suggest that there are four imagination types, namely, benefit-anticipatory imagination, emotional-bonding imagination, symbolic imagination, and mind-wandering imagination. The scale demonstrated reliability, as well stability for application across product types. The scale development also includes discussion on imaginationrelated but distinctive concepts of product symbolism and tendency to imagine.

Unlike simple forward-viewing endoscopes such as gastroscope or colonoscope, duodenoscope houses much more complex design to fulfil its function. This design differences leave duodenoscopes more prone to contamination from inadequate disinfection process and potential dissemination of pathogens. Recent reports on dissemination of infection through the duodenoscope mandated an overhaul of duodenoscope utilization including development of a disposable duodenoscope. This article reviews the current state of disposable duodenoscope development, including reported early efficacy as well as its future direction and utilization.
