  • Purpose - This study empirically analyses the changes in unemployment rates to understand push factors of generating wage pressure and how it affects the aggregate demand in Korea and the United States. We use a structural macroeconomic model which is centered on the labor market and simultaneously explains the natural rate of unemployment and deviations. Research design, data and methodology - We attempt to empirically analyse the unemployment rates through two countries to analyse the economic effects of real wages and aggregate demand between 2000 and 2016. We introduce having estimated the whole model that the growth of unemployment into the part caused by each of these factors. Results - The results of this study show that in the long run, there is not only a natural level of employment but also a natural level of real demand are positively related. in the short run, demand can vary from bring about changes in employment by means of price or wage surprises. Conclusions - The pressure of demand in the labor market shows up strongly in both countries. The estimated labor-demand equation are consistent with this framework and generally have well defined real wage and demand effects.

  • In this paper, we proposed a design of upper-limb rehabilitation device with power-assist function for stroke survivals. The designed upper-limb rehabilitation device has three degrees of freedom; it is possible to perform flexion and extension motions of wrist, index finger and the other fingers except the thumb independently. The power-assist for wrist motion is performed by a pneumatic double-acting cylinder, but the fingers are actuated by electrical linear actuators to assist motions. A prototype upper-limb rehabilitation device and its controller were implemented. The position controller showed 0.8 mm errors in the steady-state. Experimental results showed that the proposed upper-limb rehabilitation device with power-assist function is feasible.

  • This paper proposes a design of controller for automatic evacuation disposal system with suction, collecting, washing, and drying functions to be useful for excretion care of long-term bedridden patients. It is desirable that the system can discriminate excreta such as feces and urine severally, and dispose of them without having additional efforts of caregivers. This paper describes a method to improve the discrimination ability by using multi-sensors, and proposes disposal processes according to the type of excrements. As a result the automatic evacuation disposal system can perform an efficient operation in the excrement care. Experimental results using artificial excrements show the automatic evacuation disposal system is effective and feasible to assist the excrement care.

  • In this study, we have focused on various types of costumes for traditional Ganggangsullae and daily dance Ganggangsullae. To analyze their costumes, spot photographs of Ganggangsullae contests from 2011 and 2013 were collected from the Department of Culture and Tourism, Jindo County Office and the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency. Costumes were analyzed by categorising them as type, shape and color. Traditional Ganggangsullae costumes are two types: traditional hanbok and saenghwal hanbok. Traditional hanbok design dates back to the late Joseon dynasty and saenghwal hanbok design to the middle Joseon Dynasty. They reflects confucianism, a male-dominated society, totemism, shamanism and Yin-Yang and the five elements theory in agrarian society and community life. Daily dance Ganggangsullae has various types of costumes such as the fusion hanbok, saenghwal hanbok, cheering uniform and casual wear. They show modern color schemes. There is not any magical meaning from Yin-Yang and the five elements theory. Instead, they have individualism, liberty, equality and welfare in information-oriented society. So its costumes are easy and comfortable clothes. But traditional hanbok, fusion hanbok and saenghwal hanbok are inspired from Korean identiry. Even though traditional Ganggangsullae and daily dance Ganggangsullae have different costumes and ideology, they have a common denominator 'playfulness.' It will function as a key for Ganggangsullae to be performed continuously over the period.

And it leads to an increase of requiring service. There're active developments and studies on various IT equipment as the requirement made IT devices used in service. In this paper, we try to design and realize radio paging DID by using smart device to be used as a receiver of a radio pager which is broadly used at face to face service. Firstly, we used MCU to design and implement Wireless Calling Gateway which change radio calling signal of ISM band to smart device. A receiver of wireless caller used original receiver module. Also it used bluetooth module to communicate with smart device. It was possible to have satisfactory communication since radio paging signal converter and smart device were linked in 3M. Secondly, to indicate various paging information delivered from a radio pager, we realized DID application program by using Smart PAD. As a result, we could indicate various information compared to an original receiver which only could indicate letters or numeric data. Secondly, we implemented the DID app for wireless calls that can display a variety of information sent from a wireless pager. Was implemented using the Smart Pad. As a result, it is shown that can display a variety of information than the existing receiver.
