Flat TV Front Cover의 Gas 사출 금형에 대한 연구 (A Study on Gas-Assisted Plastic Injection Mould of Flat TV Front Cover)

  • The major problems of a plastic injection mould can be devided into two kinds, one is in mould another in injected parts. Most of defects of the former comes from mould design, such as, structure and working. The latter are weld line, warpage, sink mark, burning, flow mark, scratching, shading, black hole and so on. Most of problems in injection molding are difficult to find the reason because of complexity. The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of plastic injection mould and parts with inquiring the counter plan and analizing troubles of the part of Flat TV Front Cover by flow control method and gas-assisted injection moulding. For minimizing defects of the injection moulded parts, computer aided simulation method for injection mould filling was used. Based on these numerical results, the guidelines of mould design and injection processing condition were established. As a result, the improvement of quality, such as minimizing surface defects of injection moulding parts and troubles in mould was achieved.

  • Injection molded plastic parts have many appearance imperfections: weld line sink mark flow mark, gloss, shading, scratching, etc. Because these appearance faults have not accepted esthetically, so pastic parts are produced through painting or texturing. The purpose of this paper is to develop a paintless molded part of TV Mask Front, using numerical simulations and experiments. In order to minimize problems of injection, this study carried out computer aided injection mold filling simulations using MF/FLOW. Based on these numerical results we developed FR(Flame Retardant) HIPS and estabilished guidelines of part design, mold design, and processing conditions. We took effects of cost savings, inprovement of productivity, and utilization of recycling by eliminated painting process.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a paintless molded part of TV Mask Front by flow control method and gas-assisted injection molding. LNG탱크 겹침용접부의 피로강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Strength of Lap Weld of LNG Tank)

  • At the design of Mark III membrane type LNG tank, an analytical and experimental approach on the fatigue strengths of membrane and its welds are very important in order to assist designers and surveyors. In this study, fatigue tests of lap weld of Mark III membrane type LNG tank were carried out and cumulative damage factor was calculated in order to estimate the fatigue life by probability density function and rule methods. It contained the following tests and reviews : 1) The fatigue tests of lap weld of stainless steel according to statistical testing method recommended by JSME, 2)Preparation of S-N curve for lap welds considering the statistical properties of the results of fatigue tests. 3) Procedure for estimating the initiation life of fatigue crack of lap welds under variable loads by the rule lf classification society and probability density function, 4) Guideline for inspection of lap welds fo membrane type LNG tank.

  • Plastic injection mould have two kinds of trouble, one is in mould another in injection parts. Most of defects of the former take the cause in a design like in structure and working, the later weld line, transforming, sink mark, burning, flow mark, scratching, shading, black hole and so on. Most of problems of the later is difficult for making a clear definitely the reason of defects because of complexible. The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of plastic injection mould and parts with inquiring the counter plan and rouble of the part of Flat TV Front Cover by flow control method and gas- assisted injection moulding. For minimizing defects from injection moulding parts, this paper was investigated with using computer aided injection mold filling simulations. Based on these numerical results, I established guidelines mould design and injection processing condition. As a results I got the improve of quality, minimizing surface defects moulded parts and troubles in mould.

사출성형 해석을 이용한 자동차 램프 가니쉬 렌즈의 유동기구 및 공정조건의 설계 (Design of Feed System and Process Conditions for Automobile Lamp Garnish Lens with Injection Molding Analysis)

  • In this study, we design the feed system and process conditions for a lamp garnish lens of an automobile. For this purpose, four design alternatives are presented and injection molding simulation analyses are performed. The optimal feed system is selected by considering the formability of the product and the cost of mold manufacture. The product formability is assessed by the weld line, warpage, sink mark and the maximum injection pressure, whereas the mold-making cost is estimated by the number of valve gates in the hot runner system. To improve the product formability, process conditions are optimized using an experimental design approach named one-factor-at-a-time. No weld line is generated as a result of the optimization. In addition, it is found the warpage and sink mark are reduced while the maximum injection pressure is increased, compared with those before the optimization.

  • 본 논문에서는 범퍼 스키드 플레이트 및 아웃사이드미러 하우징 부품에 적용되는 polypropylene (PP)와 acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) 소재를 활용하여 무도장 메탈릭 소재 구현에 대해 연구하였다. 금속 효과를 극대화하기 위해 알루미늄 입자의 종류, 크기, 함량을 최적화하였고 웰드 라인을 은폐하기 위해 종횡비가 상이한 하이브리드 알루미늄 입자를 사용하였다. 또한 부품 표면에 발생되는 플로우 마크를 개선하기 위해 유동성을 제어하였으며 사출 해석을 수행하였다.

X-선 투과검사를 이용한 저항 점용접부 품질평가기법 (Weld Quality Evaluation Method for the Resistance Spot Welds using X-ray Transmission Inspection)

  • For the resistance spot welds of CR1180 and GA1180 TRIP steels, the weld quality evaluation method using the digitalized X-ray transmission imaging apparatus was investigated in comparison with the crosssectional examination method. In the case of the resistance spot welding of CR1180, three circular regions, such as WZ(white zone), GZ(grey zone) and DZ(dark zone), appeared on X-ray image and they corresponded to the diameters of indentation mark, nugget and corona bond, respectively. The variation of X-ray transmission thickness due to the thickness variation of the weld seemed to be mainly responsible for the formation of those contrasts. The X-ray image contrast formed from the variation of transmission thickness at the outer border line of DZ could also enable the inspections of the notch shape, nonuniformity of the welding pressure and spatter from its sharpness, concentricity and the normal straight line, respectively. The X-ray image of the resistance spot weld of galvannealed GA1180 TRIP steel was very similar to that of CR1180 TRIP steel except the crown shaped outer border line of DZ which was considered to be due to the melting behavior of zinc having the boiling temperature even lower than the melting temperature of steel.

사출금형제품의 표면향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Surface Qualify in Injection Molded Parts)

The purpose of this paper is to develop paintless molded parts using a flow control method. Computer aided injection mold filling simulations were used in order to minimize the number of defects from injection molding. Based on the numerical results, FR(Flame Retardant) HIPS was developed and the guidelines for part design, mold design, and the processing conditions were established. The effects of cost savings, improvements in productivity, and recycling were considered by reducing the number of surface faults and eliminating the painting process.
