컨버전스시대 UCC의 활용 (Utilization of UCC in Convergence Era)

  • 참여, 개방, 공유의 이념을 바탕으로 웹을 플랫폼으로 하여 이용자들이 다양한 콘텐츠를 생산 유통 소비하는 웹2.0 시대에 들어서면서 UCC(User Created Content)가 주목받고 있다. 특히 UCC를 둘러싼 대부분의 논의가 UCC의 활용을 통한 수익창출에 집중되면서, UCC는 뉴미디어환경에 적합한 새로운 '정보상품'으로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 UCC는 정보상품으로서 뿐 아니라 '미디어 현상'으로 이해되어져야 한다. UCC는 미디어 계보학의 관점에서, 볼터와 그루신이 제안한 '재매개'의 논리를 바탕으로 미디어를 향한 투명성과 불투명성의 욕망에 기초해 두 가지 유형으로 나뉠 수 있다. 본 연구는 IPTV, DMB등 다양한 뉴미디어들이 등장하고 있는 컨버전스 시대, 기술 산업 문화를 아우르는 컨버전스 패러다임 안에서 재매개의 다양한 양상을 바탕으로 UCC의 활용방안을 모색한다.

교수법적 설계 모델링에 기반한 학습 컨텐츠의 XML 웹 서비스 구축 (XML Web Services for Learning ContentsBased on a Pedagogical Design Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 분산 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이기종 교육 시스템들 간의 통합의 어려움, 상호 운영성 결여, 시스템 확장성 부족, 시스템 구축과 유지보수의 비용 증가 등의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 재사용 가능한 학습객체를 CBD방법으로 설계하고 이를 XML 웹 서비스를 이용하여 구축한 방법을 소개한다. 특히 학습 객체를 교수법적 설계 개념을 근거로 재사용 단위를 추출한 후 LIO 학습 객체로 모델링하였다. 모델링을 통해 설정된 LIO 학습 객체는 개요, 사실, 해보기, 퀴즈, 탐구학습, 토론 및 평가의 요소로 구성되고 각 LIO요소별로 재사용할 수 있도록 구축하였다. 이러한 모델링은 학습자에게 학습 활동과 관련한 연관성을 쉽게 얻어 학습 효과를 높일 수 있으며, 수업의 전과정을 설계하는 교수자 혹은 교수 설계자에게 학습 영역이 명확하게 드러나 다른 학습 컨텍스트에서 학습 컨텐츠를 효과적으로 재사용할 수 있어 적시적격의 학습 코스 변경이 가능하게 한다. 또한 분산 환경을 위한 e-러닝 시스템을 구축해야 하는 교육 기관은 인터넷에 접속되어 있는 어떠한 컴퓨터라도 위치하여 호출 및 등록이 가능한 XML 웹 서비스로 구축되어 빠른 비즈니스 변화를 수용하고 협업함으로써 시스템 구축 및 통합 기간이 단축되며 시스템 확장성도 증가시킬 수 있다.

Analysis of Online Behavior and Prediction of Learning Performance in Blended Learning Environments

  • A variety of studies to predict students' performance have been conducted since educational data such as web-log files traced from Learning Management System (LMS) are increasingly used to analyze students' learning behaviors. However, it is still challenging to predict students' learning achievement in blended learning environment where online and offline learning are combined. In higher education, diverse cases of blended learning can be formed from simple use of LMS for administrative purposes to full usages of functions in LMS for online distance learning class. As a result, a generalized model to predict students' academic success does not fulfill diverse cases of blended learning. This study compares two blended learning classes with each prediction model. The first blended class which involves online discussion-based learning revealed a linear regression model, which explained 70% of the variance in total score through six variables including total log-in time, log-in frequencies, log-in regularities, visits on boards, visits on repositories, and the number of postings. However, the second case, a lecture-based class providing regular basis online lecture notes in Moodle show weaker results from the same linear regression model mainly due to non-linearity of variables. To investigate the non-linear relations between online activities and total score, RF (Random Forest) was utilized. The results indicate that there are different set of important variables for the two distinctive types of blended learning cases. Results suggest that the prediction models and data-mining technique should be based on the considerations of diverse pedagogical characteristics of blended learning classes.

웹기반 '인공호흡관리' 교육프로그램 개발 (The Development of Web-Based Ventilator Management Education Program)

  • 본 이 연구는 간호현장의 간호요구를 반영한 웹기반의 '인공호흡관리' 교육프로그램을 개발하여 간호업무에 도움을 주기 위한 것이다. 교육프로그램은 ISD 모델 구축과정인 분석, 설계, 개발, 운영, 평가의 방법으로 개발되었다. 교육프로그램 개발은 2011년 4월부터 7월까지이며, 자료분석은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하였다. 분석단계에서 문헌고찰과 요구도분석, 내용분석, 학습자분석, 기술 및 환경분석 등이 실시되었다. 이 과정에서 인공호흡실무에 대한 교육요구가 높았고 대상자의 다수는 30세 이하로 3년 미만의 중환자실 경력을 보이는 것으로 조사되었다. 설계단계에서는 내용전문가 집단이 제공한 콘텐츠 교육내용을 프로그램 전문가와의 협의를 통해 정보설계, 상호작용설계, 동기설계가 시행되었다. 또한, 학습자가 학습해야 할 학습단원의 정보를 구분하여 구성하고, 각 주제 단원마다 그래픽, 음성, 동영상을 삽입하여 교육의 효과를 증진할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 그리고, 교수자와 학습자간 상호작용을 돕기 위한 다양한 방법을 포함하여 설계하였다. 개발단계에서는 이야기 전개도를 작성하고 관련문헌과 자료 검토를 통해 자료를 수집하여 통합 제작하였다. 운영 및 평가단계에서는 개발된 '인공호흡관리' 교육프로그램을 실행하고, 전문가와 대상자로부터 교육프로그램을 평가한 후 평가결과를 바탕으로 내용을 수정 보완하였다. 본 웹기반 '인공호흡관리' 교육프로그램은 프로그램 구축단계에서 간호실무의 다양한 요구를 반영하여 개발되어 간호업무 향상에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

초등학생의 올바른 식습관 형성을 위한 영양교육 사이트 개발 (Development of Computer-Aided Nutritional Education Program for the School Children)

  • The performance of educational program for preventive nutrition is more beneficial for children than for the adults based on the cost reduction and the effect of this education. Also children's education helps them to grow and to live as a healthy adult. The purpose of this study is to solve the nutritional problem in children by developing nutrition education program for children and correct their nutritional problems. The characteristics of this program (www.food79.net) are the customized program for grade level based on the level of learning ability, the various education method such as game, cooking practice, and quiz, animation, and the self educated method by managing children's meal management as the result. The contents of this site are constructed not only for children but also for parents, the teachers and the school dietitians to increasing educational effect. The children room consists of food tower, nutrition kingdom, calculation of obesity index, food information, nutrient exploration, cooking world, and evaluation of dietary life. In the room for dietitian and teachers include the contents of the easy gymnastics, nutrition counseling methods, the teaching plans for nutrition education, and the information interchange corner. The third room for parents is constructed of nutrition evaluation, food 114, correction of living habits, and free discussion. Through this site, we are expecting to contribute to national health promotion by correcting the food habits of children.

기술정보화(IT) 시대의 회계 교육 : IT교과와의 융합교육의 제안 (Accounting Education in the Era of Information and Technology : Suggestions for Adopting IT Related Curriculum)

  • Recently, social and economic environment has been rapidly changed. In particular, the development of IT technology accelerated the introduction of databases, communication networks, information processing and analyzing systems, making the use of such information and communication technology an essential factor for corporate management innovation. This change also affected the accounting areas. The purpose of this study is to document changes in accounting areas due to the adoption of IT technologies in the era of technology and information, to define the required accounting professions in this era, and to present the efficient educational methodologies for training such accounting experts. An accounting expert suitable for the era of technology and information means an accounting profession not only with basic accounting knowledge, competence, independency, reliability, communication skills, and flexible interpersonal skills, but also with IT skills, data utilization and analysis skills, the understanding big data and artificial intelligence, and blockchain-based accounting information systems. In order to educate future accounting experts, the accounting curriculum should be reorganized to strengthen the IT capabilities, and it should provide a wide variety of learning opportunities. It is also important to provide a practical level of education through industry and academic cooperation. Distance learning, web-based learning, discussion-type classes, TBL, PBL, and flipped-learnings will be suitable for accounting education methodologies to foster future accounting experts. This study is meaningful because it can motivate to consider accounting educational system and curriculum to enhance IT capabilities.

Technology-based self-management interventions for women with breast cancer: a systematic review

  • Purpose: Since technology-based interventions can facilitate convenient access to healthcare for women with breast cancer, it is crucial to understand innovative approaches to maintaining the effectiveness of these interventions. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review of technology-based self-management interventions for women with breast cancer in six countries. We analyzed the characteristics of these interventions and examined their diverse health outcomes. Methods: Six databases were systematically searched to extract research articles using the keywords "breast cancer," "technology," and "self-management." The search was carried out up until June 12, 2023. From the 1,288 studies retrieved from the database search, 10 eligible papers were identified based on inclusion/exclusion criteria. Two authors independently extracted and compared the data from these articles, resolving any discrepancies through discussion. Results: Most of the 10 studies utilized web- or mobile-based technology, and one used artificial intelligence-based technology. Among the 12 health-related outcome variables, quality of life and symptom distress were the most frequently mentioned, appearing in six articles. Furthermore, an analysis of the intervention programs revealed a variety of common constructs and the involvement of managers in the self-management intervention. Conclusion: Incorporating key components such as self-management planning, diary keeping, and communication support in technology-based interventions could significantly improve the self-management process for breast cancer survivors. The practical application of technology has the potential to empower women diagnosed with breast cancer and improve their overall quality of life, by providing timely and sustainable interventions, and by leveraging available resources and tools.

Development 2.0: Principles and Warnings for Leveraging Advances in Information Communication Technologies for Improved Development Efforts

  • Advances in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) have demonstrated tremendous potential for solving development challenges and improving development processes, culminating in the new Development 2.0. Many development practitioners have embraced ICT (particularly on Web 2.0 and mobile phone technologies and applications), which have become hot topics in both the development community and the policy community as they engage in development practice and dialogue. Despite this excitement, there lacks among the policy community a robust understanding of the powers and pitfalls of ICT in development, executed actions to back the excited chatter, and dissemination of this understanding to practitioners and policymakers alike. We conducted a literature review, interviewed experts, and engaged in discussion with leaders in international development and science and technology policy to provide an operational framework base in which to view ICT in development. This framework regards ICT as tools that support more effective and efficient community development actions and appropriate consideration of general guidelines, which enable better engagement across and within sectors and individuals. Flexibility and accountability are critical requirements pervading throughout the various actions and guidelines, which promote transparent, partnership-based, and sustainable development. We highlight the strengths and weaknesses of ICT to focus on the cautions to keep ICT access and distribution in context, understand the various levels of technologies and services, and dig below the surface as excitement about ICT increases and threatens to become a short-term solution. We offer ideas for specific programs that policymakers can implement to contribute to a more efficient and effective development process to ultimately support global human development, but stress the endless possibilities that can be explored with creativity and flexibility beyond what is proposed here.

웹2.0 기반 온라인 로봇교육 커뮤니티의 개발 (Development of an online robot education community based on Web 2.0)

  • 인터넷은 지식정보화 사회의 새로운 커뮤니케이션 도구가 되면서 사람들 간의 정보 교류와 의사소통의 장으로 확장되고 있다. 최근 로봇교육기관들도 인터넷을 이용한 각자의 홈페이지들을 구축, 운영하면서 다양한 로봇관련 자료들을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 로봇교육기관 홈페이지들은 대부분 제한적인 검색기능과 일반적인 자료만 제공하고 있어 사용자들을 위한 유용한 로봇교육정보들과 교육활동들을 공유할 수 있는 기능은 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 로봇교육교사들과 사용자들을 위한 로봇교육소식제공, 로봇학습기능, 다양한 로봇교육경험의 공유, 실시간 정보교류를 할 수 있는 온라인 로봇교육 커뮤니티 시스템을 연구하였다.

인터넷 건강정보 평가 기준을 위한 건강 소비자의 인터넷 이용행태 분석 (Analysis of Internet Usage Patterns of Health Consumers for Internet Health Information Assessment Criteria)

  • Objectives: In this paper, the survey on internet usage patterns of health consumers was conducted and analyzed in order to determine internet health information assessment criteria for providing correct consumer health information on web-sites. Methods: By using a survey questionnaire with 16 questions on general information and 20 questions on internet health information, data were collected from September 16 to 25, 2005 from 476 participants through an internet web site, http://www.hp.go.kr. Frequency analysis, t-test, and multiple regression were used in order to analyze the difference in assessment criteria, factors influencing assessment criteria, factors influencing user satisfaction, etc. Results: General characteristics of the study population were: the persons over age 40 were the smallest age group; women were accounted for 74.2%; and the persons with average income were the largest income group; and the persons with average health status were the largest health group. Most widely used health information were: exercise, disease, and diet, in order. There was significant difference(p=.001) in importance of assessment criteria between the persons in medical institutions and the persons not in medical institutions. There was no significant difference in other assessment criteria. We also found that contents of websites and easy to use were more important factors than elucidation of information providers and information sources including speciality of information in quality assessment criteria of internet health information. Discussion and Conclusion: Results of this paper were compared with the previous studies from the literatures. Contrary to the previous studies in the literature, there was significant difference in importance of assessment criteria between the persons in medical institutions and the persons not in medical institutions. In order to apply the study results to develop health contents for consumer, there is a need for further upgrade the proposed assessment criteria based on expert opinion.
