Development of Web-based Quality & Reliability System for Bootstrap on the Internet Environment (인터넷 환경에서 붓스트랩 품질 및 신뢰성 시스템의 개발)

  • Recently, growth of internet causes rapid changes in many areas of statistics such as statistical computation and analysis. Especially, bootstrap is the most interesting statistical methods applying computer resampling simulation. In this paper, we try to present how to use a method of bootstrap on the internet. We also develop to user a statistical system which is programed with ASP for user to handle easily in manufacturing system.

A Study on the efficiency of similarity and clustering measure in Historical Writing Document (역사적 기록 문서에서 효율적인 유사도 및 클러스터링 측정에 관한 연구)

  • It expected a lot of changes in mass media and documentation expression as documents on web are getting diverse, complex and massive. An Annals of The Chosun Dynasty is a very important document used for researching historical facts and is published as CD-Rom. However. The CD-Rom was composed as content-based and using simple search method, therefore it's very difficult to make determine event-relationship between documents factors. Because of that, we studied to discover event-relationship between documents through clustering and efficient similarity method among Annals of The Chosun Dynasty. For the research method, we discovered the best similarity method for historical written documents through simulation similarity measures of Annals of The Chosun Dynasty documents. Then we did simulation-clustering documents based on similarity probability. In evaluation of the clustered documents , the results were the same as when manually figured.

  • In this paper, we have selected traveling algorithms of Line-Tracer as the focused learning elements with the PBL-based programming instruction method. Line-Tracer traveling algorithm programming has been simulated using the Scratch EPL. Development of robot web courseware such as Line-Tracer can create an effective educational environment and also provide solutions for lack of environmental conditions, such as time or spatial factor restrictions and excessive expense issues; these are major obstacles to developing robot programming education. Finally, we analyzed the effects on growth of student's logical thinking and problem solving abilities by demonstrating the Scratch application courseware to the field of elementary education.

  • 본 논문에서는 울진 표준형원전 시뮬레이터의 강의실용 교육훈련 시스템의 일원으로 개발된 CBT (Computer Based Training) 및 WBT (Web Based Training)에 대해 다루고 있다. CBT는 발전소 시뮬레이션, 노심 다이나믹스, 중대사고, 비상발령 및 증기발생기 열변환 과정으로 구성되어 있다. Simulator Operation 기능을 이용하면 강사는 강사조작 메뉴를 통하여 시뮬레이터를 조작을 할 수 있고, Sim-Diagram 등 각종 화면을 보여줄 수 있다. 중대사고는 모의사고에 의해 구축된 데이터를 근거로 하여 개발되었으며, 방사선 비상등급에 따라 백색비상, 청색비상, 적색비상으로 구성된 비상발령은 각 발령의 발령상황 등을 Open Window를 통하여 볼 수 있도록 하였다. 한편 WBT는 강사와 교육생이 강의실 이외의 장소에서 시간과 공간의 제약을 벗어나서 원격교육이 가능하도록 구축한 웹서버 환경이다. 현재는 기존에 구축된 강사들의 홈페이지를 Intra-Net환경에서 접근이 가능하도록 링크된 상태에 있다. 향후에는 일부내용에 대해서는 원격으로 강의가 가능하도록 다양한 컨텐츠를 개발할 예정이며, 현재는 발전소 운전과 관련한 교육자료, 각종 동영상 및 이미지, 각종교재 등에 대한 DB 구축을 준비중에 있다

  • A Smart TV is the multi TV which have not only function ability of general TV but also web service and application as like smartphone based on internet. In this paper, we suggest the web system for cooking recipes as smart TV application. This system have a game function by simulation and we can enjoy this cooking recipes application as a game.

  • 웹기반 학습은 학습자의 자율적인 통제하에서 학습이 이루어지는 특성을 갖고 있다. 학습 컨텐츠와 학습자간의 충분한 대화 즉, 상호작용이 제공되지 않는다면 학습자는 일방적인 학습을 수행하게 되므로 학습에 대한 정확한 이해를 판단할 수가 없다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 웹기반 학습의 여러 유형의 컨텐츠중에서 가장 상호작용 요소가 강한 시뮬레이션 형태의 컨텐츠를 이용해서 디지털 회로를 직접 학습자가 설계할 수 있도록 웹기반 시뮬레이션 도구를 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 이로 인해서 학습자와 학습 컨텐츠간의 쌍방향 대화를 할 수 있는 환경을 제공함으로써 복잡한 디지털 회로에 대한 학습자의 학습 결과에 대한 피드백을 줌으로써 학습자의 학습 성취도를 높일 수 있다.

Web-based 3D Object Retrieval from User-drawn Sketch Query (스케치를 이용한 웹 환경에서의 3차원 모델 검색)

  • Three-dimensional (3D) object retrieval from user-drawn sketch queries is one of the important research issues in the areas of pattern recognition and computer graphics for simulation, visualization, and Computer Aided Design. The performance of content-based 3D object retrieval system depends on the availability of effective descriptors and similarity measures for this kind of data. In this paper, we present a sketch-based 3D object retrieval system by extracting a hybrid edge descriptor which is robust against rotation and translation. The experimental results which are based on HTML5 and WebGL show that proposed sketch-based 3D object retrieval method is very efficient to search and order the 3D objects according to user's intention.

DNS Resolution with Renewal Using Piggyback

  • Domain name system (DNS) is a primary identification mechanism for Internet applications. However, DNS resolutions often take an unbearably long time, and this could seriously impair the consistency of the service quality of Internet applications based on DNS such as World Wide Web. Several approaches reduce DNS resolution time by proactively refreshing expired cached records or prefetching available records beforehand, but these approaches have an inherent problem in that they cause additional DNS traffic. In this paper, we propose a DNS resolution time reduction scheme, named renewal using piggyback (RUP), which refreshes expired cached records by piggybacking them onto solicited DNS queries instead of by issuing additional DNS queries. This method decreases both DNS resolution time and DNS traffic since it reduces the number of queries generated to handle a given DNS resolution without generating additional DNS messages. Simulation results based on two large independent DNS traces show that our proposed approach much reduces not only the DNS resolution time but also the DNS traffic.

Designing an Efficient and Secure Credit Card-based Payment System with Web Services Based on the ANSI X9.59-2006

  • A secure Electronic Payment System (EPS) is essential for the booming online shopping market. A successful EPS supports the transfer of electronic money and sensitive information with security, accuracy, and integrity between the seller and buyer over the Internet. SET, CyberCash, Paypal, and iKP are the most popular Credit Card-Based EPSs (CCBEPSs). Some CCBEPSs only use SSL to provide a secure communication channel. Hence, they only prevent "Man in the Middle" fraud but do not protect the sensitive cardholder information such as the credit card number from being passed onto the merchant, who may be unscrupulous. Other CCBEPSs use complex mechanisms such as cryptography, certificate authorities, etc. to fulfill the security schemes. However, factors such as ease of use for the cardholder and the implementation costs for each party are frequently overlooked. In this paper, we propose a Web service based new payment system, based on ANSI X9.59-2006 with extra features added on top of this standard. X9.59 is an Account Based Digital Signature (ABDS) and consumer-oriented payment system. It utilizes the existing financial network and financial messages to complete the payment process. However, there are a number of limitations in this standard. This research provides a solution to solve the limitations of X9.59 by adding a merchant authentication feature during the payment cycle without any addenda records to be added in the existing financial messages. We have conducted performance testing on the proposed system via a comparison with SET and X9.59 using simulation to analyze their levels of performance and security.

  • In the field of civil and geotechnical engineering, students conduct a variety of soil tests to fulfill undergraduate soil mechanics course requirement. There is a range of problems in soil laboratory instruction, such as, some students not getting hands on experience of conducting tests because of inadequate number of apparatus, time constraints and inability in exciting students to seriously conduit the experiments, However when these laboratory soil tests are simulated with multimedia interaction ann visualization techniques, the students conceptual understanding of soil mechanics is enhanced. The simulation program for website teaching is a computer based instructional package intended to complement, and potentially replace, some physical testing in a real soil laboratory. The overall aim of this project is to develop an experimental simulation program toward active learning and development of critical thinking skills, including data interpretation, understanding of the precesses and influential factors, and problem solving. Therefore enable students to access website to team experimental procedure at any time or place.
